There is another neat thing you can do with A&H Baking Soda. If you have to make an emergency
repair on something but you need an adhesive to be like a filler too A&H will help you out.
Sprinkle some baking soda into the area needing the repair. Then apply a few drops of Super Glue.
It will quickly harden into a very strong solid you can file down afterward.

Or just rinse your beans thoroughly after cooking and don't use the water they are cooked in. Ppl don't realize if you simply rinse cooked beans from even a can they don't give you gas. It really is that simple and night and day of a diff. Never cook dried beans in the chili for example. Cool and rinse beans then add to chili. Tbh canned beans are the main cause of gas because nobody knows to rinse em and that is concentrated trouble in that can if you don't. The second main cause is ppl cooking dried uncooked beans directly in the soup and chili.
What you suggests remedies the problem and not completely. It doesn't prevent the problem

Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the wash water. The baking soda softens the water and deodorizes your laundry.
Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser or to the final rinse cycle. The white vinegar softens your laundry and dissolves soap residue.
Use wool dryer balls in your dryer. The wool dryer balls fluffs your laundry and reduces drying time.

Little known fact: Acid reflux is not too much stomach acid (HCL) it is too little. When you eat a meal that is difficult to digest, and you lack the HCL to break it down so it can pass into the small intestine, what happens is it sits there in the stomach. After a while that undigested food begins to make it's way into the esophagus. The small amount of HCL (may not be enough to digest the meal) but is certainly enough to cause heart burn.
Better thing to do is to increase HCL by eating one slice of orange 20 minutes before your meal. That will give you enough to properly digest the food and send it on it's way into the intestine.
Tums, antacids and BakingSoda actually make it worse by neutralizing the necessary digestive juices. That leaves you with undigested, rotting food in your stomach. You are just exacerbating the problem. There are also HCL with pepsin capsules at the supplement store to keep in your kit.

That baking soda can help with "Gout"
Because it lowers the uric acid in your body, some people will get it due to ALL the canned processed foods they will be ingesting.
Also mixing baking soda with any acidic liquid(vinegar) will create CO2, thus has many uses like helping to grow indoor plants. Or as a catalyst for hydrogen reactors ect...
Also you can use it as trace minerals for making RO water with electrolytes.

So adding baking soda can add some of those lost minerals and can help with the alkalinity too.

I also read an article about baking soda , spreading it on your mattress. Remove all bedding, and pillows. Sprinkle on the mattress , cover the whole matress. Let it sit for 8 hours. Go to work after , that's 8 or more. When you get home, take vacuum, and vacuum the mattress thoroughly. It's kills bacteria, bugs . If you don't have bugs , which most shouldn't, it still kills bacteria and makes it smell better. Advise:. Do some research on it first. Because, someone could have allergies. It's better to get all necessary information before spreading or sprinkling it . Make sure no one is home, close bedroom door, if you have pets.

Great video! I wish a video all about baking soda could be made. How long has it been used? How is it made? And, I know a secret about baking soda. Kidney disease is really common, and one side effect is “perceived shortness of breath.” This can be quite uncomfortable, especially if you are in bed wanting to get a good night’s sleep. Baking soda is used to relieve this. CAUTION: If you ingest baking soda, you must follow the dosing instructions. These are clearly given right on the box. People tend to overdose themselves - with anything and everything. People have died ingesting baking soda incorrectly.

Epsom salt isn’t salt at all. It’s magnesium. Best thing for the garden especially tomatoes. Mix a little in the soil when planting and regularly topically. Even diluted on the leaves. Magnesium helps the plants to absorb calcium. Just like in people.
    Seasalt.com
“Epsom salt, named for a bitter saline spring at Epsom in Surrey, England, is not actually salt but a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. Long known as a natural remedy for a number of ailments, Epsom salt has numerous health benefits as well as many beauty, household, and gardening-related uses.
Studies have shown that magnesium and sulfate are both readily absorbed through the skin, making Epsom salt baths an easy and ideal way to enjoy the associated health benefits1. Magnesium plays a number of roles in the body including regulating the activity of over 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation, helping muscle and nerve function, and helping to prevent artery hardening. Sulfates help improve the absorption of nutrients, flush toxins, and help ease migraine headaches.”

Helps get rid of that musty smell that tents and other camping gear get while being stored. I wonder if making a small cloth bag filled with baking soda and adding it to the tent (cooler, lawn chairs, backpack, etc) before storing will prevent it... Guess that's another item for the To-Do/Try This list.

When it started wearing off, it made my skin blotchy. I made a paste out of baking soda and rubbed it on the blotchy spots. It took the tanning spray off and left my skin normal again.
