How did you remove the top bolt on the starter moter bolt the one above the battery wire. I done it on a ramp and was hard to get a extension in

@@hunk2493 . As Shown on Diy Allan’s video, remove the battery holder/support. Unscrew the upper allen/chc screw. The acces is not easy for the allen key and the torque is strong so, you must find the good key/wrench for unscrew.....🔧 Good (luck) work ...

Is this the same as the stop start motor

Thanks for that , that's a great help. Gonna cut some allen keys down then.

3:06 Exactly. That bolt which has access from the mud guard area after removal of the wheel arch and wheel.
But this must have some reason. This is not normal. Do you know why is it like that? Me not.

Did you remove the top bolt from under the car or from above?

Hi there great video as my starter finally died and need to replace it soon as. My question is as i dont want to purchase a full set of allen sockets for one job was wondering what size socket you used to unbolt the starter.

      its 6mm or 7mm

@@DIY_ALAM it’s a 6mm. Buy a 1/4 drive 6mm hex socket, and a 10 inch extension and good 1/4 drive ratchet, Hazet, snap on, Stahlwille… doing it with 3/8 tools is hard due to the lack of space, I did mine today.
