Aloha to you in the Netherlands! Aww thank you so much 💕 You have beautiful orchids as well, I need to catch up on your videos. Mahalo for watching and leaving a comment 💚🤙🏽
Aloha Patricia! My honohonos have just started to bloom 🥰 When I have a lot in bloom at the same time, I like to hang them under my gazebo. Not only do they look pretty, but the fragrance is amazing 💕 Mahalo for watching 🤙🏽
Another amazing video! Everything is looking so pristine. I’m still in awe with the fact that your friend was throwing that Oncidium away. Your a good orchid rescue girl. 🤗💚🙏🏼
Thank you for showing the beautiful flowers. Also the mounted orchids are doing well. I'll have to watch the Orchid Society video when it's available. I have been to Oahu, Kauai and Big Island. Hawaii is beautiful. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺✈️🏝️
Aloha Roslyn! I’m definitely looking forward to attending this years Hilo orchid show once again. I have never been to Australia but I’m sure it’s beautiful 💕 Mahalo for watching and leaving a comment, I truly appreciate it 💚🤙🏼
Oh my, my😱💥You have an orchid paradise in your own yard🥰🙌Every nook and cranny has a surprise waiting to be discovered in your garden. The lava rock looks the best medium going by how healthy your orchids grow😊🙏Do you fertilize at all?
@@newmanmansell760 normally we don’t get much rain here but we had a few winter storms that brought in all that rain and colder temperatures. I definitely think my orchids loved it because I started to see a lot of spikes develop after that. Happy growing 💚
Oh, really? It's quite dry there normally? You must be on the East coast then? Yeah, cooler temperatures with rain really makes orchids bloom better 😊🙏
Thank you for posting videos of your orchid garden, they are so relaxing to watch after a stressful day at work! I grow orchids here in Florida and I enjoy seeing how you grow yours. Thank you again!
Aloha Bruce! Aww I’m glad that my videos help you to relax after work. Something about the sound of flowing water is just very calming. I like to go back there in the evening after my solar lights have come on and just sit next to the fountain and relax. I also enjoy seeing how others grow their orchids as well. I follow quite a bit of UA-camrs from Florida and you guys have some amazing orchid nurseries there! Happy growing and Mahalo for watching and leaving a comment 💚🤙🏽
Good to have you back Kelly, your growing area is beautiful. So many blooming also. I also got a Stanhopa from Carmela , mine has not bloomed yet. I use the lava rock in a lot of my orchids too, they seem to like it. Thank you for showing us your little paradise 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Aloha Linda! I always miss reading comments and chatting with everyone so I was happy that I finally did another garden walk video. I do try to post shorts here and there but I know it’s not the same. I was not expecting my Stanhopea to bloom for me this soon so it was a pleasant surprise 💕 Hopefully yours will bloom soon 🤞 Mahalo for always watching my videos and leaving me comments, I truly appreciate it 💚🤙🏽
I have the same situation - I live in Nor Cal and also have a patio container garden. I forgot to bring my Phalaenopsis indoor one day and it dropped the leaves = it was very healthy too, but one cold night and It was gone.
@@Plantsfaire / Same here - winter night I kept out side patio . Some windy nights I have to move all Orchids in to garage. Most of them die - Dendrobium - Zygopetalum orchids doing well in winter - start blooming new flowers in May . I try not to buy more Phalaenopsis orchids. I still have about 10 Phalaenopsis orchids .

I think when you grow phals outdoors the rain doesn’t seem to bother them. There’s a lot more air circulation than indoors. I guess in nature they survive without any problems. At least you are getting plenty of spikes. Well done. Thanks for an interesting video. Happy growing.
Aloha Renate! Yes I believe you’re right and the area that I keep my phals is usually always breezy. I’m definitely enjoying all of the spikes that I’ve been noticing 💚 Mahalo for watching and leaving a comment 🤙🏽
Hi. Greetings from Trinidad in the West Indies. Such beautiful blooms. Always look at your videos. In what media do you pot your honohono? I am trying to save mlne
Aloha to you all the way in Trinidad 🤙🏽 I have them potted in medium size Orchiata bark. A few that I had purchased came in sphagnum moss which I will repot into orchiata after this bloom season. Right now my leaves are turning yellow and falling off which is normal as they get ready to start budding. Hopefully that’s what’s happening to yours as well. Mahalo for watching and leaving a comment 💚
Some I have to water everyday, while others maybe twice a week. I do like to spray down their leaves as well. I use a slightly strong stream to hopefully wash off any pest that might be on the leaves.
Beautiful orchid collection 🌺🌼🌸

Aloha! I’ve been really trying to be more consistent with fertilizing lately. But I do have slow release fertilizer in most of my orchids.
Yes, I do too😊I know that all the rain you have makes the orchids very healthy. Have a great planty day🙏

Some of my Phalaenopsis I keep in patio is not doing too well ( too cold in the winter - I am in S. California).
I’m fortunate that our weather here allows me to grow my orchids outdoors all year long

Hi, How many orchids do you think you have?
Aloha, oh gosh I’m not sure but I’m guessing over 200
How do you water your orchids?
Some I have to water everyday, while others maybe twice a week. I do like to spray down their leaves as well. I use a slightly strong stream to hopefully wash off any pest that might be on the leaves.
It looks to me like the “deformed” spike on your phalaenopsis is due to thrips 😩
Thank you for telling me because I knew it looked strange! I’ve never seen spikes look like that before.
