Great video, Adam. I tried the Necromancer when it was added and god knows I made the effort but I just didn’t feel it. It seemed like a constant chore to me and I dropped it after two weeks. My first was the Nightblade Breton and he fitted like a glove. If you try to play something that doesn’t pull you in, it just kills interest in the whole thing IMO.
Awesome you came at the right moment Friend GJ i was switching from console to pc with my orc mage built as crafter and wow i have fun with this character as you said it makes a big difference if you have the right character for your playstile . do you have a printable build for your mage character your talking about in this video ? i would like to rebuild it for that reason as im facetanking most enemys with my Orc mage lol and i even survive bosses now fun . I thought its easy on ps5 but its even better on pc . i would love to see a print of your build if that is possible m8 . Cool info in your video im subbing. Thanks .
For solo builds, a mixture of stats is often better than just crit chance or just penetration because crit chance and penetration are percentage based damage modifiers. Percent modifiers are better when your base damage is higher. In group play, group buffs provide most of that base damage, but when youre solo, you have to provide that base damage. Generally, the smaller your group, the better mixed damage stats become. However, crit chance as a solo player can be better than penetration if you have abilities that can crit heal because crit will boost both your damage and your healing whereas pen will only boost your damage (if ring of the pale order is your only healing then penetration is just fine).
Bro'... you're very right in choosing the right class and race for your character so you, us, can enjoy it throughout the game play.... I'm with you on emphasizing this... Many players especially new players eager to start and jump into the action just neglect the character creation stage, then if somehow because they were in hurry didn't choose right, they end up having a hard time enjoying the character and as you said they burn out and eventually abandon the game... I fully agree... But I don't agree with your statement that's ok or not a big deal to start over... maybe if you tested up to say lvl 10 (maybe)... but starting over and building again and again from the ground up a new character is not ok... that in and of itself can be frustrating (to me it is) and also leading to ultimately same results, player being burned out and eventually abandon the game... I'm somewhat ashamed to admit I did that back when I started around 2015 or so...now I'm back and I can't emphasize enough how important it is to choose the right class and race from the start...

You would think with most of the abilities providing similar buffs/debuffs and effects there would be more than one way to build your class while still being just as effective as the "flavor" builds you see in guides

I think the best advice is considering the content you're trying to clear and accounting for the shortcomings of your class/race. ie: if you have shortcomings in sustain then it won't matter if your sets have high damage output if you're not able to keep it going for longer fights. Then it'd be better to adjust either the skills you use or at least one set to help keep up the rotations. If on the other hand you're taking on a target that deals high bursts of damage at once you're likely gonna want something that allows you to survive that burst like a damage shield skill or set. If you have to split from the group you're going to have to consider self-preservation into your build. additional tip: Consuming Trap is one of the best skills for sustain that often gets overlooked so long as you have adds available to target with it.

Ffs why did i have to watch this video, now i feel like reinstalling the game. I own every expansion but i'm not in the mood to pay for a subscription so i guess ill just resist this urge..even though i still have a lot of DLC armor sets that i got before i went F2P
This is the problem is players like u suggest giving players survivability rather than damage and no trial guild will ever accept this it's why XYnode builds are trash for endgame trials like false god is trash now they better off using julianos and mother sorrow

@@youmadbro4203 Ice heart is great for some builds. Especially soloing and/or situations where you need to mitigate unavoidable damage. But no one said using this set would make you a better player, it was just an an example of the consideration that goes into deciding on a build.
