That little waddle has me melting 😍
Ikr! Sir Duke so cute!
Me too! I love the waddle.
But it’s going to cause him pain as he ages. He needs to drop a little weight for his health. He is very cute though.😊
@@ctgctg1 agreed. He’ll be happier in his old age if he drops a pound or two. ❤
Came just to say this 😭😂 whhhyy is it so adorbs 🥰🥰
As a former museum director I can appreciate what you have done by integrating a cat into the museum. Museums require a lot of controls, too many in fact, that make them unreachable/untouchable and by bringing in Dude, you have made your space so much more self-curated. People can curate their own experience by meeting Dude, how much more you ask? Through his presence you can teach people on nature and science much more compassionately by bringing part of the natural world directly to them. Congrats to you and your museum and may Dude live a long life and bring joy to many.
Knowledge and memories also link to emotions and having met an awesome cat at a place where you learnt a bunch of stuff makes it much more easy to remember.
Well said :)
Not to mention some kids will want to go there as often as possible just to see Dude. And they wont be able to avoid learning something in that time.
My severe cat allergies make this museum unreachable/untouchable for me 😮.
My husband set up a Museum nearly forty years ago, and one of our regular visitors was a local puss called Gray Boy. He took on the responsibility of showing visitors around - he was a real star, and a great friend.
I literally want to go to Delaware and this museum just to see this cat!! Who wants to come?
Lol mee!! I can use the change of environment!
Me too!
Dude is definitely a treasure. The sign "Dude's Territory" is priceless.
I'd go to the museum just to see him. ❤
If all these public spaces that can be sort of boring at times adds a resident pet Imagine the crowds.
@@keldaMouse - agreed!!!
@@keldaMouse I think people with allergies would appreciate that too 😁
Honestly, I’d probably become a member at that museum just to visit him 😂
@@wika1117 Dude is usually downstairs in the workshop, he comes up for special occasions.
The dude is a happy, well-fed kitty with a magnificent primordial pouch!! Go dude!
Emphasis on well-fed!
*over fed i guess
Primordial pouch my cat has the same,, some cats have a natural pouch.
@@sarahhouston6560 so does my cat but I think dude has more than just a pouch lol
@@swfcocs1 He's so overweight he has trouble walking, and I bet his joints hurt him pretty bad :(
every place of business, school, should have a cat
Amen
I love how he’s so welcomed and his persona is integrated into the museum. The image of all the kids petting him was such a powerful, “in the moment” way to encourage love and humanity in a place of history and discovery. Great way to demonstrate that what we do today, and how we treat one another, determines our legacy. Praise to the museum and staff for valuing the life of this furry little angel. God bless you.
His little waddle is EVERYTHING!❤️
If by everything you mean an indicator that he will have health issues if he doesn't already due to his weight then yeah.
@@juliebraden6911 agreed, hopefully we become more accustomed to signs of being overweight and see it as a problem instead of a cute quirk. It is adorable tho
@@juliebraden6911 but what can they do? Check every visitors bags/pockets for snack paraphernalia, maybe a sign posted? Do not feed the dude!?!? He sure is cute, regardless.
Mine had none at all, until cancer took her at 17, bone cancer. She ate normal meals, no snacks. Once they're fixed, cats get chubby. So do female women.
@@juliebraden6911 it’s really not that serious, it’s a fcking cat why are internet people like you so worried about everyone else other than yourself and your own life? Shut up and leave people/things alone. Nobody asked you for anything nor to give a useless lecture no one asked for learn how to mind your business.
You can tell by the look in his eyes that this cat owner definitely loves his cat and that dude truly is living his best life! I hope both of them still have a long time together with much joy!
I'm in love. It's so interesting how he "just showed up" right where he was supposed to be. Animals seem to do this. Good kitty, good people. ❤
Every museum needs a Dude or Dudette! Just doing that kitty work of making everyone feel like they're welcome & they belong.💖💖💖
Dude's a beautiful little orange chonker and I love him 🧡 His little primordial pouch swinging as he waddles along is precious 🧡 Hope he's a healthy boi under the chonk 🧡
hahaha. Exactly. He needs to exercise more
Is that pouch something normal in certain cats, or is he carrying something that might suggest a health problem? I can't recall seeing a cat with that type of ponch swinging underneath. It almost looks like a pregnant female.
@@surfwriter8461 It's normal for both female and male cats. The female cats will develop it earlier or once they've given birth. The male cats will develop it later. This is what you call a primordial pouch. This gives them more prolonged survival if they're stranded or abandoned without food.
BUT this ginger chonk needs to lose some weight, regardless lol
@@ROYAL_REBEL OK, thanks for that info. I agree, Dude still seems to be overweight. I hope the people there can help him with that. I'm afraid too many people--staff and public visitors to the museum--are feeding him with no regard to what's healthy for him.
@@surfwriter8461 Yes exactly, although the ginger chonk looks adorable hehe
*What a beautiful uplifting story. Thanks DAD for taking Dude in...and to staff for loving*
*this beautiful cat. He looks absolutely spoiled and loved.*
Bro what happened to your emoji
Cuuute emojis
@@peeuio357 *What you mean Jelly Bean?*
@Vero E you must be fun at parties
Cringe af
I had a bookshop in Ohio wherein shelter cats were fostered and then adopted by customers. More than 50 were adopted from my shop over the years. I then wrote a series of novels about the experience (Shelve Under C is the first) to encourage other shops to look into fostering dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. The business that took over my location continued to foster, thankfully.
Oh how I love this! I have spent my entire career in Human Resources management. I can honestly say that most workplaces would see massive benefits with their employees if they had a cat or dog in the workplace. Animals bring out the best in us in a way nothing else can.
I’ve thought that many times after experiencing a ‘shop’ pet
I love seeing cats with jobs
I bet working with Dude makes everyone’s day so much better. There’s a lesson here.
as someone who works there, i can promise you that it does!! dude's dad has an open door policy, so we can visit anytime during the day!!!
I love museums. I love Dude is a rep of the museum and does his work uplifting the staff and visitors and now viewers. I love that there’s a sign in the parking lot telling folks to slow down. 🥰
That "Dude" is pawsome. That waddle is his, is too much😸😸. That's one 👍👍👍👍🐈🐈
What a refined gentleman
"I have museum now.
This is *_my_* museum.
Nobody can take me away from *_my_* museum.
This is *_my_* museum now." 😻
That little waddle of his! So adorable. So loved!
It would be really cute to see a GPS map of where all he goes throughout the day. Does he check every room? Go outside much? Have a favorite secret nap spot?
Dude usually hangs out downstairs in the facilities workshop. He used to patrol more but at age 15 he's semi-retired but still comes to work during the week. He likes to greet us at the staff door especially when it's warm outside.
This is a marvelous story. Dude is a fortunate kitty. Love the way the Museum went all in with Dude being a member of the team. I'd say Dude is definitively the Museum mascot. Surprised this hasn't gone viral as it isn't every day that a Museum has speed signs in parking lot for a cat let alone books about the kitty. Bravo to Chris & the rest of the Museum folks for caring for Dude.
❤Yes! ⬆️This comment!⬆️ 🐈 ❤️👏🥰
God bless you all for helping and giving this cat a comfortable life to live. Only goodhearted people know how to care for these precious little souls. Bravo!
Loved the video and Dad and the wee mascot with his waddle. Soooo cute!
All cat should be pampered and loved i have 2
I love how he waddles. He is a precious kitty. I am happy he is so loved.
he waddles cause of pain. you love seeing old men waddle around nursing homes?
That's sweet.
Dude is totally adorable and clearly so dearly loved by his sweet dad and co-workers! Love that! ❤️
Ginger cats are so affectionate. Simply love him. Hope he stays well.
Love this chonky Dude! 🐾 ❤ 🐾
Tickle da belly!!! What a cute little chonker, the waddle made me all warm and fuzzy inside 🥰
Thank you for saving Angel.... Love you....
What a beautiful little Dude....😘
Dude is quite the sophisticated feline 😎 picked the museum for a home. Thank you for sharing Dude w/us, awesome story.
i love his gunslinger walk 🥰😂
Está gordito😹 el amor lo infló
I love this! Makes me want to travel to Delaware just to see dude
I may or may not have cried happy tears watching Dude's story. 💕 I don't know who is more lucky - Dude, or the Museum. Thank you for adopting this precious cat & letting him be the star that he was always destined to be!
The moment the camera let us know he plopped on his side to lay down 😂
Dude's having better life than me 💀💀
Я тебя крепко обнимаю и целую три раза в щёки по русски.Должно тебе полегчать!🤗😘😘😘
@@user-sb8xc6be2t ... wasn't the third kiss on the lips, Tatiana? 😉
What heartwarming story and a beautiful bond you guys! ❤️
When he laid down, it was so funny to see their reaction!
Love that chunky waddle!!
Thanks for saving him and giving him a forever home. He’s got it made in the shade now lol. That’s cool he’s a little celebrity cat.
A firehouse cat, store cat, car shop cat, police station cat, and now a museum cat.
They really are hard workers.
He's the curator of the museum.
His chonky swagger is hypnotizing!
Love his little bum when he walks. I hope Dude enjoys his life at the museum for a very long time. Sweet kitty for sure. 🥰
Oh lawd he comin! 🐈🐈🐈
@@johnnybird5466 he even looks like that emoji
This is what life can be! wonderful
Hey Dudes ..this is a real dude making our our lives more special..
Dude, your existence is a blessing to this world.
What a beautiful and kind man you are. I just know that Dude loves you back. Yes, the Museum is his to watch over all comings and goings. The team at the museum must love him as well. I do love the way he walks. 🐈🇦🇺🐾💗
Omg look at his little hind legs the way he shimmies when he walks. 🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😘😘😘😘 he's so fluffy and chunky. So stinking CUTE.
Adorable!
The kitty said he's a work of art, so what better place is there for him to be😸❤
Oh Yes, He is The Waddler, and it looks so cute and adorable watching him Waddle from the rear.😁❤️🥰❤️😍😍🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️🥰😍❤️❤️❤️
Ok, hands down best name for a cat that I've heard.
What a wonderful way to bring people to the museum! It should be mandatory every museum, library, kindergarten, school, retirement homes have theirs "MasCats"! 👏🙏💯🤗🌞🎊💐🏫😇☺️💖💐
How wonderful making Dude a part of making people happy! Our World so needs this unconditional love from Cats and all Animals and tis is a perfect example!
He looked super happy running through the woods
Dude has quite an impressive primordial pouch! 😹😻❤️
DUDE.....I LOVE IT! Great story...God Bless you and keep sharing Dude.
I always thought I wasn't a "cat person" and now that I've had a cat for 4 years I can't ever imagine why I thought that.
Same. All it takes is one to win you over and that's it. Cat lover for life now.
Cats get bad publicity from dog lovers.
In my experience, anyone who speaks poorly of cats has never put an honest attempt into befriending one.
"A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is. It is the crucial test. None but the humane treat a cat well."~ Mark Twain, "Winter-end Excursion to the Sutherd" (1902)
@@tbromwell yesss! I love this quote! How you treat an animal that you know will not give you love in return on anyone's terms but its own is truly a test of character. Dogs adore us and their affection is not hard to win and once won is always expressed. A cat however is a creature that is a law unto itself.
Dang that's one big primordial pouch 👝 😂
Dude looks well loved and a bit too well fed!
You guys and your kind hearts are the ones that made Dude have a good life. I’d say he’s the lucky one.
Adorable chunky boy. 🥰
Nice Chris! I recognized you right away. Glad to see your love of cats. DUDE is the man.
Work pets are awesome, they massively raise employee morale and reduce sick days because people want to come into work. I wish more places had them.
I love Dude!!! What a hardworking fellow! 👏💖
He's a treasure. Thank you for this.
He has the cutest little waddle-waddle🥰. What a sweet little kitty. I have 4-rescued cats, myself. I've always done right by the animals. Every homeless kitty I've come across in my life, has become mine.
I declare you the best human being in the world
@@benji89917 that's very nice of you to say, but I am not perfect. I just have a soft heart for innocent animals who, are dependent on people for their care and well-being.
I wish more men were so lucky to be adopted by a warm loving fur kitty like Dude. This world would be a much happier place.
He reminds me of Bella the Alamo cat.
The Alamo adopts a cat to live there until they pass and then adopt another.
Bella's the 3rd so far. She's about 7 so in about 10 years the Alamo will be adopting her successor.
The cats(one at a time, there's only Bella right now) are mascots that get to roam around the grounds, Bella's been cooped up in the office due to construction in the past year.
And there are people that come visit just to see Bella. And the giftshop sells calico plush cats since Bella is a calico.
His belly!!! So cute, my goodness!
Yes! We call that “swing belly!” Cute!
Yeah it's so adorable to overfeed a cat until they have health issues and a shortened lifespan. I hope you people don't have pets.
@@juliebraden6911 You apparently don’t have cats. I was talking about the loose skin that hangs and swings (on many cats) - not his weight issue.
Love this so much! I have 2 rescue kitties! They bring so much joy into our families life-our youngest son Case is High Functioning Autistic and both cats immediately took to him so we call them “Case’s Kitties”. They are his best friends! We can’t imagine life without them now ❤
I don't know Dude personally, but I can tell he's the kind of cat I love to love! Dude's just doing his job, and that's enough for me!
I love the childrens' art and Dude's story! ❤️
I kinda teared up a little. What an adorable cat, and what a loving owner you are. I am very happy for all of you. 💓💓💓🤗🤗🤗
The waddle walk is so adorbs! So cute, a museum ginger kitty! ❤️🥰
Yep, the waddle walk! 😄👍
You know what isn't "adorbs" (ugh)? The fact that his weight will cause him health issues and shorten his lifespan. But who cares as long as he's ADORBS, right?
@@juliebraden6911 Even fat cats don't usually have that waddle. Seems like an orthopedic issue.
Oh my goodness, MK, I agree. Pay no attention to the police comments. Dude appears to be getting a lot of exercise. My late cat, Sox, ate normal meals, and was chubby until she died of cancer at 17. After cats are fixed, males and females, they get chubby.
@@juliebraden6911 Poor guy was barely able to walk. Not sure if it was because hes fat or if he had some sort of condition. Almost looked like a deformation at the belly just in front of the hind legs. It almost touched the ground when he was waddling around. Got me worried
Dude has the cutest waddle! ❤
This cat is wonderful, and a great museum employee. 🤣
Dude’s waddle is so much cuter than mine!😊😊😊
Wow! His old man waddle is cute! I am so glad the museum took him in!
This is so AWESOME! I live like 2.5-3 hours away from the museum; I might have to pay it a visit... :)
There are a lot of areas in the museum to oversee. He keeps busy and is a happy cat who makes the museum employees and goers happy too.
Ah such a lucky lucky famous kitty love the attention that he gets and the great life that he has❤️😸😻
That is one very chonky boy! How is he so big with all of the exploring and walking with the guy who rescued him?
I bet he is given treats by many of the employees & visitors 😺
Sweet I love his walking thank u for loving him
Some love are to AWESOME to express with words 😁😁😁🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇🦁
Omg luckiest cat ever. I’m a huge history nerd and would love to go to work there
This beyond heart melting.. ♥️♥️🐱
Well, he’s definitely well fed and taken care of! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a sweet story! Dude is a beautiful boy. ❤️🇨🇦
He's a beautiful piece of art 🎨 ♥
What a beautiful gorgeous cat!🥰🐈🥰
I luv his walk....a real waddle! What a great cat!
Its so cool for a museum of nature to have an animal that just decided to be there. I was going to suggest they put a carema on him so people could see the museum through his eyes but it looks like they did. They could also give him a GPS for a day and do a where Dude went cat tour. lol.
He will own the museum for sure. 🤣
Love Dude, so sweet! There is a small town library in East Tennessee that has a library cat named "Story"! When I go there, he makes himself at home on my papers or my bag! It is so cute! ♥️🐈⬛🐈🐈🐈⬛
