Diego, it's better if you fill free area with decoupling capacitors it improves power integrity.

Curious what the transistor in the miller loop is for? I'm familiar with the miller effect, but have never seen a design with a transitor like that.

It is working as a resistor, in the triode region. It compensates the effect of the real part zero generated by the miller capacitor and therefore improves the phase margin.
