What is your best tip for speeding up service?
In my opinion I guess from the time a client enters our restaurant, I feel like it is better to leave them choose where they sit so that they could be more comfortable and not feeling controlled, after they sit, we should give them the menu right away, and must be circumspect of busy times, after taking the order we should notice silently how they are like? In a hurry? Or relaxed? And act accordingly.
And back to the original question;😂
We could speed it up by training the crew, and more importantly treat the crew as if they are our friends, not like people who work hard in order to make us profit, because also we must be grateful for their support and hard work, also when they feel that they are a part of this restaurant they will act and care as if they own it.
Speeding up the service is important but making sure that all the guests are not told in an indirect way like “It has been a long time since you finished your meal; it’s the time for you to leave so we could make our table turnover rate better, to make more money” is important as well.
