For the electric kit, just add wiring for one chartplotter and also agreed on the 2 LED lights or some sort of lightbar. Also putting some kind of camo stencil as an option would be super cool.

Definitely a front deck 3’9” for fishing and in case you’re taking a dog. Would also be big enough for storage of decoys and other gear. Gun box with the length of a rod locker. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. I’d definitely weld in the front platform; a middle aged bald, bearded dude told me to share that nugget. One seat post, IMO. Second person can put a 5 gal bucket on front deck. 100% on the notched out rear deck and I’d even consider notching the front deck to accommodate half the depth of an average cooler. Would give you some floor space without having to completely remove the front bench seat.

LOL.... welding would be nice, but this kit has to be user friendly, so rivets it is!
Thanks for the input, good idea on the rod locker, better to have it and not need it.

Yes to front deck (potentially a good battery storage location, which could help with fore-aft balance).
I think you should go with the shorter gun-only box.
Hard to say about one seat or two. That's a pretty small boat so two guys is tough, but duck hunting is often more fun as a group activity.
I'm looking forward to watching this play out!

Thanks for the input. I agree 2 people is going to be a tight fit, but we will see what people want to do. I can definitely make it work with two if needed.

Gun box from the back bench to front rib on the left side. Run a small platform from the front to the first rib . Run an open shelf on the right side to store ammo and lean the guns up on . Run two seats . Be cool if you could do a quick blind with it

Good Idea on the shelf! I didn't even think about that. We will see how much room we got in there once the gun box is in. Thanks for the input.

@ I’ve got a 1448 mod v I’m playing around with that I’m doing something similar. I’ve got to figure out the blind once I’m done and it’s harder with the decrease in width from front to back

Would love to see the same type build with a 1648 rivited Jon. The weight capacity is around 1000lbs and barely weighs more than that 36 wide. IMO if I am duck hunting by myself I’m using a kayak or canoe

If everything goes well with this kit we will do a 1648 version. Unfortunately the 1436 is the size everybody calls about so we are doing it first.

Id prob do no floor in the front, leave it for decoys and gear and dog, if you put all that on top of the floor now you cant see idk
