Thank you! We're glad you like the video! Here is another lovely bracelet video you may enjoy! www.potomacbeads.com/superduo-tubular-knit-herringbone-tutorial
*Thank you for a very nice video with crystal clear instructions . You suggested to watch a few more videos before starting a herringbone project, but I issue you this video serves the purpose of guiding the learners pretty well :) . Stay blessed*
Thank you dear, I had forgotten how to do the twist, made one with small squares a long time ago. Watched some videos, but I don't remember doing what they did...up 3 beads, down 1..then up 4, didn't ring a bell. Thank you so much, I need it for hanging a prism. Great job 🙋♀️❤️✝️🇺🇸
@@Potomacbeadco actually, my brain kicked in and I remembered that because I had used little myuki squares, I didn't need to do anything different. I made 2 rows instead of 3, and did the herringbone the normal way..because the beads were square, they just twist all by themselves! Sharing this new thing with you first, I'm too tired to do a video, but the little square beads make an awesome rope!! Thank you dear 🙋♀️❤️✝️🇺🇸
I'm so glad I watched this tutorial. I wanted to make a twisted tubular herring bone rope but it had been a while since having done the technique. Great refresher video for me. I only had 2 colors to work with, so I simply alternated the colors when I loaded my first 6 8/0 beads. Turned out really fun. TFS!
THANK YOU for updating this; I don't remember the older video showing how to finish the bracelet off and I've been doing it the hard way o_o This is MUCH easier (if the previous video actually did show how to finish off the bracelet, then my bad aheh)
Couldn't agree more. The good thing about herringbone stitch it creates beautiful beadwork where the beads lie at slight angles to one another, so it looks complicated but very simple to make.
brilliant video and easy to follow, quite fiddly at the start but once you get going its really relaxing to make. was wondering if there was a link to a video where you join a new bit of fireline?
I’m confused you show this completely different then the original video. The pattern was up two down one, lol completely backwards from yours however I don’t think it makes that much of a difference other than on the step up bead. Heather shows it as the step up as up three beads and down one you show it as up two and down two. Does that point really matter? Perhaps also you may want to make a note on the old video that there is an updated video and link the two, I suggest this because if you type what is on the pattern the only video that comes up is the older video. Thank you Allie for the update!
I'm a novice beader and I'd like to learn this, but my color choices aren't the same as Allie's, and as she says "green", when my bead is lavender, ir "pink" when my bead is blue, i become totally confused. Sometimes, the tutor will designate colors as "a", "b", and "c", and I'm okay with that, but my mind simply won't substitute blue for pink automatically. So i just can't do this. I'm sad.
Thank you for your feedback! Try making this using the same colors she is. That way when she says green, you will know exactly what bead she means. Then, after you get the hang of it, try it out with other choice colors. Please let us know if you need additional help with this piece!
Hi Olivia, "down two and up one" produces a spiral to the right. The other way turns the spiral to the left, but for some reason, that left spiral is a softer twist than the one to the right. You can experiment with a few rows and see which is your personal preference, but once you decide, make sure you keep doing it the same way throughout. Hope this helps.
Hi Carol. Sorry it was just showing the effect. I went down another one after ending that clip. Sorry if it confused you. If you need any help just let me know!
Hi JoAnn. Sorry I lost you. This may not apply to you but if you are having trouble with the video please make sure to take a look at the tubular herringbone stitch and make sure to understand that before attempting the twisted. It will help greatly in understanding the technique. If you are stuck in a particular place let me know and I can try to help.
Allie, I've got to say, you make it so easy to follow along. I know it's not easy since not many people can make videos as clear as you!
Thankyou!
You are so welcome!

The old video does show how to end and close up the ends as well as adding the toggle latch.

thank you for your time and talent. Is it possible to remake a viedo of the Empress bracelet. The last one there was a part missing. Thank you
We can go back and take a look. There are about 100 designs in the production queue right now so it might take a while!

¡Gracias por enseñar! ☆
So repeat process at step up point we go through two?
I've seen some people do down two up one and some do down one up two. Which is better or do the different ways cause different effects?
Hi Olivia, "down two and up one" produces a spiral to the right. The other way turns the spiral to the left, but for some reason, that left spiral is a softer twist than the one to the right. PotomacBeads Thank you. That does help.😊
What can go into a Russian spiral bracelet so it doesn't go flat?
Anything really. It depends on the interior dimensions but you can put cording, rubber tubing, memory wire ext.
In your previous video, your step-up was up 3. In this video, it’s up 2. Does it matter?
Check your editing at 10.28
you made an error at 15:22. you only went down 1 of the grey instead of 2
