This band is so great. How they have not exploded on the U.S. scene to the extent they deserve, I just don't understand. Every aspect of this band is top notch. Vocals, musicianship, energy.
This CD continues to climb my play list. Call it commercial or mainstreem or anything you like, they did a great job on this album. You can't expect LC to just dish out the same old, same old. They need to grow and change and find where it leads. I like what I see, and for them, it just might pay the bills. Ya, it's not all about money, and it's not staying in the mold someone has made either.

Even better, he just seems like a truly sweet person; you can tell they love what they do, and everyone I know who's met them said they were enthusiastic and very friendly and warm with their fans. He and Cristina both have standout voices. I love their style, the sincerity you can hear in their singing... NOBODY sounds like EITHER of them. NOBODY. They are impeccable together.
Good news for old school Lacuna Coil fans and those who want to see/hear their older songs live: Cristina and Andrea recently announced that they're rehearsing pre-"Karmacode" and "Shallow Life" songs for the upcoming European tour which will also be done on the next U.S. tour. Finally! So, for those of you who aren't familiar with their older material or don't like it, like it, this is what's coming. I can't wait! :P \m/
She is so beautiful. And those upper legs and hips. And she has this “cool” factor about her that is palpable but difficult to quantify. I’ve seen a lot of negative comments for the guy in various videos but he has a good voice/sound, too. And also a “cool” factor to him. She’s obviously the draw but he complements her well. I think her draw is amplified with him there.

People need to stop hating on Andy his singing is OK and i have been to an LC show and when both singers were sing their accents were heavier then on the albums because its a recording and not everyone sounds the same on a recording. Cristina' voice was just amazing live and i met them after the show during a signing and they shook everyone's hands most bands don't do that.

They're a great band, me and brother went to see them in 2012. Lacuna Coil were my first gig I ever wenter too. My brother knew that they would come out after to sign people's tickets or cd/did covets. About half an hour later, me and my brother decided to have a burger or a kebab,about half way through eating out late night meal, lacuna Coil actually came in to the same take away place as us. We decided not to bother them, cause they had been on the feet most of the night. It was a great first experience, would go and see them again

This is definitely not gothic. Laguna Coil definitely had goth influences in early days.. very melodic and haunting but these days it's just melodic rock IMO

Gothic metal bands such as Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Epica etc. are a lot different than metal bands in other genres and may not be everyone's cup of tea. They are still metal bands though.
Curtis Robison within temptation is symphonic metal. If you consider Within Temptation as the same genre as Lacuna Coil you kinda consider Lacuna also as symphonic metal.
