big fan of the minutemen when three way tie for last was released I was so moved a great original band wonder if george hurley still plays. all his beats rule all different complex and tight

When someone says they don't like the minuemen I automatically put them in the acquaintance I barely know file instead of the this is probably a cool person I want to hang with file. Sopunds pretentious but hey I'm too old to give a rat's ass!
People talk about Black Flag and then the conversation always stops there... no one delves into music like they used to. Im 24 and from detroit, god bless my parents wild punk love that made me.
Honestly, I just had a mp3 file. No idea wether it was ripped from a vinyl or not. To me it sounds like it's not. Sorry but I can't provide more info...

The three songs on the B side of Buzz Or Howl IMO are the greatest musical moment of the 80s.

Incredible. This band just floors me
this song epitomizes why I like punk
Kills me that this song is missing from all current versions of Double Nickels on the Dime... the best song on the whole album!
mike watt regrets rerecording it for double nickels and considers that version inferior. this is the original off buzz or howl
@@JohnSmith-ij6ms Interesting... still, I LOVE this song. I think it sits perfectly on DN. They could add this version back on it :)
Forever grateful to the band Solanki inspiring me to check out the minutmen! Buzz or howl under the influence of the Leeds six!
1:52 - 2:13 is one of my favorite moments in music, ever
0:00-3:13 for me.
black flag, the minutemen, fugazi...the real shit.
AliBoulalaSTP Don't forget the Gun Club
Sebadoh!!!
Descendents!
Husker Du and Meat Puppets too. SST had the best bands in the world at the time.
@@anthonyfazio503I’m convinced that SST single-handedly shaped the sound of modern music to come. The creativity all those bands packed, nothing comes close.
mine too. love songs like this that have such great melodies and can still pack an unbelievable wallop.
I just saw Mike Watt and the Missingmen last night doing very Minutemen-like material - fantastic!
I saw them recently and they played a lot of songs that Watt had written for Minutemen.
superb...pulsing drums and loud, staccato guitars.
The best musicians frequently die young (sigh).
As true now as it ever was.
Rest In Peace d boon!
WEE MAN WITH A GUN IS HIS HAND
still get goosebumps..
big fan of the minutemen when three way tie for last was released I was so moved a great original band wonder if george hurley still plays. all his beats rule all different complex and tight
I know George and he does still play.
There’s a video of him banging about on an electric kit in a store just a few months ago! He’ll never lose it!!!
You gotta hand it to the Minutemen, and to Mr. Chuck Dukowski who wrote the lyrics.
Merle Buckwalter what?
Some of them
Great song.

Perfectly describes George Zimmerman
Michael Livingston And/or. Dylan Roof!
Elliot Rodger actually.
Man D Boon can't beat him
I prefer this to Arcade Fire
This is much superior
One of the greatest 3 minutes in aural history?

Yeeeees!
Reminds me of Zounds
Looks like Ray drew that album cover, too
I definitely think Leeway was listening to this when they wrote "Stand For"

Black Flag, Husker Du, Meat Puppets, and Saint Vitus say hi.
UnchartedYT Don't forget early Screaming Trees, Dinosaur Jr.
Yo you guys wanna hang out?
Husker Du! 👍👍
Love me my Sebadoh too
Rittenhouse cries himself to sleep listening to this.
This ain't no picnic is a great song on double nickels
for proud nra members michael moore and ted nugent...and clint
We don't even know.....
CD misses this one. Shit.
get Buzz or Howl album! this song is from that album, they did a different version for Double Nickels
IS that good enough?
lol.
anti manlet and anti gun, damn this song really stings
I really don’t think the Minutemen would propagate bullshit like “manlets”
@@cardigansarecool true that. more little in a metaphorical sense. perhaps little power little influence little importance or relevance to the rich
Doubt it
there’s some kid at my high school who’s like 4 feet tall and he wants to be a cop. this song reminds me of him
No wave retroactively refutes the Minutemen and renders them moot. Too bad.
