This sounds like the type of stuff I used to play on guitar, many many years ago. Seems like more than a lifetime now. My dad gifted my a beginners guitar set for my 17th birthday (iirc - some time around then, circa 2004?) A Fender Squier and a 20W Crate amp with distortion and in-line reverb... To this day I haven't found an amp that handles reverb the same way. With the reverb turned off you could still turn the knob and produce a naked input sound or a touch of dry reverb that really allowed you to become truly immersed in the sound. I started playing, having no idea at all what I was doing. No lessons. I just watched DVDs of musicians I wanted to emulate. Studying their finger placement closely. Something I did at concerts too. Then I would pop on songs I wanted to be able to play and tried to match the sound from the song on guitar. Went on like that fir 2-3 years. Everyone told me it sounded really good, despite my general cluelessness. I would break strings all the time trying to tune up because I'd use the 5th fret trick. Not using the low E as a base, so my tuning was really all over the place and highly innacurrate. After that I decided to finally invest in traditional methods. Learned how to tune properly. Studied basic chords and made a little jingle going from A to G to memorize them. Later delved into minor and flat chords. Then learned how to play (not all complete or by memory) 130+ songs over the course of the next 10 years or so. Learning a few more advanced chords (7 chords and such, which are some if my favorites to experiment with), how to read chord sheets and tab, as well as being able to write my own with templates used in a word processor on PC or my Android phone. Which, I think is a very crtical skill to have in your musician's 'toolbox' in lieu of writing your own music. Very rewarding too! I learned haphazardly by ear, then re-learned everything I thought I new from scratch lol. It worked out pretty well I think. Stopped playimg guitar a few years back, as I got too depressed to invest in it any longer. While my dad got sick, refused to seek treatment, he and my mom fought tooth and nail again like they did in my teenage years (which, then, was something that stoked the fire of my passion for creating music). Only this time I was just too tired and sad. My hope was spiraling down the drain. Living in near poverty conditions most of my life, dealing with the madness of alcoholism from both my mom and dad and others around me. Eventually he passed. And when he did he suffered and went down hard. 30 days in the hole. "The hole" being the hospital. He lost his battle with alcoholism (not that he ever fought very hard against it) and several other illnesses which were never quite identified or clearly recognized the day before Christmas a few years ago. I stopped playing a few years before that happened. With me picking up the guitar maybe once every few months around that time. Trimmed my nails a week ago the way I used to for playing guitar with my thumb and two fingers, but I have yet to pick it up again. Anyways... Long rant. Love the sound though! Brings back some memories for me of playing in my buddy's cramped breezeway or in his garage, sometimes on the street in my younger days. Not that I'm old yet... But I suppose I'm getting there. Thanks for sharing your work!
Thank you for the rant. If you were ever in a band etc, I am impressed that you didn't mention it. I wonder how many people have a similar relationship to the guitar.
Brings back a feeling of 2016-2017- era for me. Maybe even 2018. Being on drugs, rainy days, no place in life, no place to go. But I had friends, and we had music. We would play in the garage, walk around town and sing or play guitar. Skate over to our other buddies house so we could use the drums. Pizza was still 5 from little ceasars, and gas was still $2.08. Felt more simple, and wild.
I'm gonna try my damndest to get this channel more subscribers. Everytime I spy an unattended phone , my efforts at clandestine manipulation shall be victorious. Best channel I've stumbled across since Sunnyboy 666. AWESOME.
Recorded in New Cantucky, right beyond North Carolina, this album spreads ants to the lucky few by scrubbing zebras off rubber. Song 2 blurs out the animosity of derelict desires. Gemini can answer lots of lost Liszt. 2 the 3, howwdy.
This is spectacular! The opening track reminded me of an Alice in Chains covers band that decided to record an original (thats a compliment) but when the vocals came in on the 2nd track I was blown away! Exactly the kind of thing I woukd have been playing in 07 ❤
That's a really great album, congrats, bro. It really gets that feeling that every teenager once felt in their days along the years. It's nostalgic and fitting at the same time, really good songs
Think this is a really good record i like it a lot would put it on in the background in the spring if it was raining outside and it would mean something xxx.
I loved your iguanaconda albums. I didnt relalize this was a recent composition untill i saw you were the artist. This sounds like its from another era. Its superv
Modest Mouse meets Melvins meets Zappa meets Allah Las meets Iggy Pop meets.... Lots going on this album and even more throughout the channel. Love it!
The old man on the front of the album is Albert Fish, Charles Manson is there, John Wayne Gacie, Henry Lee Lucas, Ted Bundey and possibly a satanic priest in the top right corner

Strangely you just named the second rubber zebra albums name (midnight driving). It was recorded years ago but never released and I will be releasing it soon
This album is truly amazing! It delivers a powerful and raw impression that I’ve never experienced before. Currently, I can’t find them on Apple Music. Are they an independent artist not available on other streaming services? I’d love to know more about them.
Mix is dirty even for something "lofi" and percussion may as well be a drum machine for how little emotion it conveys. The bassist though, just killing it.
Kinda sounds like a bit of Spiderland or Stooges. Let's see, there's Charles Manson, Ed Gein, Zodiac, the big guy's head in the center there I think is the guy who decked out a semi truck cargo into a portable torture chamber. I'd have to take Psych 101 again to remember any others.
Nah the guy in the middle is Albert fish, really fucked up serial killer who was a child rapist and cannibalism. This dude would insert needles into his testicles and rectum as a form of pleasure

The Iguanacondas, also. More surfy and acid Beach Boys sounding than this or Skelephant, but in the same ballpark sonically
same, and they sound amazing too

"All Them Witches" are worth listening to.
They are out of Nashville...very gifted
Caught ATW at the Magic Stick, next to the Majestic in Detroit. LA Witch opened. Great show.

Just noticed only part of my reply went through. Zodiac Killer is the "Satanic priest" character. Albert Fish was a literal 'child predator'.

I've been alone for so long

I think I lost my mind
when I first met you
Heaven is a lonely place
in the sky up there
Fly around with golden wings
only thoughts that stare
Paralyzed by your touch
and the look of an evil snake
I've been dreaming for so long
now I'm finally awake
I've come back too many times
for you to know I'm here
My nerves are finally calm
but my hands still can't steer
