This is so wholesome. Thank you to whoever referred this song to you guys. Brought back sooooo many memories. I used to bump this song on repeat on my mp3 player in 2009 travelling on a BMTC bus to my PUC college which is located smack dab in the middle of where this was shot. I wish indipop would come back to some extent at least. Thank you guys.
The whole thing is shot on Bengaluru Karnataka. Nowadays b4 lockdown those roads are always so busy that u can't even walk properly let alone dance around..
During my school days, I remember I used to wait eagerly for this song to come on the radio (yup good old days :D ) and then it was full volume all the way!!
OMG love that song! Still hum to this day! Miss the 90’s pop songs! Such an unexpected nugget of gem! Thanks for reacting to it! Btw that last scene is based off of a commercial for the same ice cream bar, that’s how they used to show people eat it..out of the blue! Someone will pull out the bar in someone’s face! Oh miss the 90’s..
This song was our vibe back then when it came out. It ended a decade, century and millennium for us growing up in the 90s. It was on our class party playlist in 1999.

Oh my my I never ever thought on my dreams that this song u might ever react😲😲😲😁..u reminded me of my childhood when it was all about music albums craze ❤️
That ice cream bite thing is a reference to the ad for this ice cream bar called Feast - "Feast. The Big F". This was the golden age of indipop, btw. This is when Shantanu (Shaan), Sagarika, Stylebhai, Alisha Chinoy, Rageshwari etc. were in. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but isn't this when Sonu Nigam was just coming up with that Deewana album?
Sonu nigam entered before all of them, but in movie songs. Yes Alisha's Made in India started the pop album trend in 1995. Though there were albums like Disco Deewane and all but the trend of Pop was actually started after 95. Lucky Ali's 'Sunoh' came in 96, Sonu Nigam's 'Kismat' in 98, KK's 'Pal' and BV's 'Kya Soorat Hai' in 99 but the most impulsive push that helped the music to evolve was 'Deewana' in 99. Later on Shaan's 'Tanha Dil' and 'Jhankar Beats' ft Shaan, KK came.
@@ritiknoatilhari5531 DIsco Deewane is a great blast from the past, though the Nazia version is even better for the New Wave sound. Btw, stuff like Roop Inka Mastana, which sparked off the remix fad, came out in 1995. Same for Channel Hits! This is the stuff my older sister made me grow up on haha.
@@palashagarwal87 Yes I still listen to Nazia's disco deewane sometimes, nothing against that music, what I am saying is that their genre is different. I also missed quite a few like Kailash's 'Kailasa' and Euphoria's 'Dhoom'. But as far as I remember 'Deewana' revolutionised the culture being the greatest solo pop of that time, its songs were played on repeat in house I used to visit 🤓. Not only it exposed to music of modern era but also gave Sajid-Wajid a breakthrough.
2000s era Indipop songs were exactly like MTV in the 80s and 90s....it was the first time we were introduced to music videos and pop songs apart from movies and i freaking used to love it but sadly it died out
