Your generosity in sharing your craft is second to none - you are the best. I really love your brooches - I am a bit of a collector too and love my brooches too. This was such a wonderful tutorial - especially the info on the cotter pin joints - I know what they are now 😊😊. Take care Lisa. ❤️❤️
Thank you! I wanted something easy to make at home for joints now you just gave me the answers I needed. If you can laugh at yourself you will always be amused! Just a little thing I have learned along the way....

Great information. 👍You have some great bloopers also. 😆🥰 Always a great day when you post. Absolutely the best online tutorials from a brilliant designer and so very very generous. I've been making Mohair bears for a while but you have already taught me me so much more. Only trouble is I want to make everything you come up with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. x

Hello from Indiana USA. I just found your channel and I must tell you I am astonished by your talent and generosity. Everything looks so lifelike and adorable. THANK YOU! Hugs.
Your soft sculpture animals are so realistic and have so much detail. They are wonderful! I’ve made up some of your joints with the bolts and they work terrific. I like the button idea too. My dad used to knit and repair fishing and shrimping nets, so I have spools of the thread he used. It’s very strong and nearly impossible to break. I think it would work great for the button joints. Thank you for all your ideas, techniques, and time you give to us. If my parents could see all the wonderful things I’ve made using your patterns they would be so thrilled. My daddy would love that deer you showed. He was a hunting and fishing man. Daddy would be pleased, if I was using his thread. My mama loved to sew. She would be happy to see me using the sewing machine she bought me. She would be so surprised how much my sewing has improved. Sorry to ramble. Thank you so much! I can’t express how much your channel means to me! Take care!!
This means everything to me! I completely understand using materials which have history for you. What a beautiful heart you have, thank you for being a part of my journey. 🥰🤗

I have just found your channel. I am enchanted by all your designs, teachings, and awesome skills. I learn so much from watching you do your magic. I hope to get enough courage to try one of your patterns. I think I will start small and try to do a needle book or the kitty patchwork. I hope to also try to do the ragdoll or a pincushion. Thank you for these videos. I look forward to your next project. Watching from Texas in the USA. :)

Lisa , Lisa, Lisa lovey.........your imagination is jaw dropping. Truly talented. That deer is to die for and the mohair is phenomenal. I have never seen anything like these EVER. The cotter pins are on Etsy here in the states and I was thinking a small needle nose plier would work well to bend. So exciting when I sign on my laptop and see you posted MORE creations. God bless you. Love all your work

I love your person!! So funny and real! Thank you for all you give and share with us! I am always frantically finding ways to cut cost of my sewing passion! Joints were a frustrating issue for me, but you have helped me find other avenues. I have cut out the discs on my cricut and glue them together for strength. Un able to do the cotter pin, and difficulty finding all the nuts and screws. In frustration, I decided to use brads. I use 1and quarter inch length . This way I can roll them down like a cotter pin. For the larger disc I use a longer brad. I buy them from an office supply , cost is about 3$ for 100. This works for me. I have arthritis in my hands , sometimes I can not even tie a knot. So thank you for other ideas!
Very interesting and will have a go . I would love to make a toy suitable for a baby , it's for my daughter in law's sister who lives in Australia who is having her first baby. Have tried using other people's patterns but I don't get the same finish as with your patterns . I have made 14 of yours so far during lockdown since Christmas in the UK
You have opened my eyes to a whole new concept! Thank you!!! What are useful thing to know. May I make a small suggestion: put some padding on the handle of your turning tool?
Thank you so much for sharing your tips and ideas on joints with us. Your are very kind and generous, very much appreciated. Could you please let us have the pattern for your pup with the long brown ears. He looks cute . Thank you
I made the memory bear not perfect like yours but I would like to show you how can I do that ? ps I will join your class , as soon as I get a few more of your patterns made from pay it forward I love this so much I even like to make the ears lol
Lisa, you are wonderful and so very generous with your time, tutorials, and patterns! On this video, there are 2 little Boston terriers. Is there an available pattern for them? My niece adopted 2 last year, a brown and a black one. I would love to make her a matching pair. If the pattern isn't available at no cost please let me know where I can purchase it. Thanks again for all you do!
Hi! Sorry no pattern for these two, they are one of a kind pieces with resin hand sculpting and internal framework, too difficult to produce as a pattern. I’m glad you like them though, thank you , I have a Boston Terrier Grandpuppy!🥰
Oh I’ve been looking through all the comments to see if someone had asked this question, I have a black and white also a lilac puppy and wanted to make them too! They are just so adorable!
Also Lisa, I wondered if I could use empty laundry soap containers to make the parts for the joints. Do you think they would work well? It would be great because it would save money, keep them out of landfills and not fill up the trash can so fast, because they are very big! What do you think?
Yes absolutely! Great idea, you would need to add a few layers depending on thickness, and make sure to use a PVA white woodworking glue for strength. Anything to help our Planet!🥰
I'm wondering, would the button joints(assuming I find something big enough) or the mat board joints work for the memory bear? Actually, could I use mat board with the bolts? The bears will mostly be shelf sitters as they'd be going to adults as a memory of a point in time rather than for someone who's passed.
I am absolutely in awe of your creations especially the dogs. You are many masterful creators all rolled into one! Thank you for your so extremely generous free patterns, amazing videos, tips, etc, etc. I will first attempt your cuddle dolls but hopefully will be able to tackle your dogs. I have had a Shitz Shu and several Poms over the years and now have a 1 year old mischievous Havenes more. I am 82, in good health but not very talented but determined to keep trying. I wonder if you could tell me the difference in attaching moveable and stationary limbs head etc. Is this due to the amount of tightening the screw and application of the glue? Again thank you from Vancouver Canada
Hi! I would only ever spot wash these items, most of my patterns are collectables (shelf sitters) The nylon nuts and bolts sound interesting, I will take a look 🥰
@@payitforward9442 thete are nylon washers as well. I found them all on Amazon (where else?). I do love the button idea as well, and that's definitely washable.

I love the button joints and the cotter pins look 👀 outside the box and recycling and checking your stash. I love it when I can use up those treasures I couldn't walk by in the good old op shop. Found 1 at last here in Eltham another hasn't been allowed to open as yet? Oh I love the fluffy shitzhu and Maltese. My granson with Asperger wanted me to get a Shit Zhu ha ha he also has Tourette's? Muuuuuchas gracias por compartir 🤗
Gracias, excelente 🇺🇾
Do you see a mohair Yorkshire terrier for the future ? Love the small one and I think a large mohair one would be gorgeous ❤❤
Will you be releasing the dog patterns, they are so precious!
I’m hoping to in the future, Yes!🥰
@@payitforward9442 I cant wait!
Thank you so much for sharing your skills!❤️
You are so very welcome!🥰
u have to do the dog too super cute
Yes! Will do!🥰
I'm wondering, would the button joints(assuming I find something big enough) or the mat board joints work for the memory bear? Actually, could I use mat board with the bolts? The bears will mostly be shelf sitters as they'd be going to adults as a memory of a point in time rather than for someone who's passed.
Yes absolutely! I would use 3 layers of Matt board joined with PVA glue, they will be super strong!🥰
@@payitforward9442 thank you, I'll give them a try. Fingers crossed the bears come out well although I plan on a test bear first. 😊
I am absolutely in awe of your creations especially the dogs. You are many masterful creators all rolled into one! Thank you for your so extremely generous free patterns, amazing videos, tips, etc, etc. I will first attempt your cuddle dolls but hopefully will be able to tackle your dogs. I have had a Shitz Shu and several Poms over the years and now have a 1 year old mischievous Havenes
more. I am 82, in good health but not very talented but determined to keep trying.
I wonder if you could tell me the difference in attaching moveable and stationary limbs head etc. Is this due to the amount of tightening the screw and application of the glue?
Again thank you from Vancouver Canada
Wonderfulll
Thank you!🥰
My main concern with the nut and bolt assembly for toys that will ve pkayed with is washability. What do you think of nylon nuts and bolts?
Aqui no Brasil nunca vi essas peças pra venda ,deve ser cara.
Bonjour Lisa

Hi Tracy, sorry that’s my One of a kind work, very complicated to make 🥰
Thank 💐💐💐💐💐
I love the button joints and the cotter pins look 👀 outside the box and recycling and checking your stash. I love it when I can use up those treasures I couldn't walk by in the good old op shop. Found 1 at last here in Eltham another hasn't been allowed to open as yet?
Oh I love the fluffy shitzhu and Maltese. My granson with Asperger wanted me to get a Shit Zhu ha ha he also has Tourette's? Mr Potty Mouth?!?!
I love upcycling! We need to do more of it for sure! Thank you Francien!🥰😍
