Hi Yvonne, I just used this turorial to whip out a ring for a customer. I love this tutorial, you explain it so well and I could make a really nice ring on the first try. I used 20 gauge brass and one 5mm genuine ruby. I did a tiny spiral at the end of the wraps. It looked very eutriscan. Very pleased! Thank you thank you!

My ring is always coming out with wire poking out of one bead hole/one side of the bead sticking up more than the other. It’s so odd, but my mandrel doesn’t have a groove so I just ordered one to see if it helps. Thanks for the tip. I love your channel ❤️

Love your tutorial! I went looking for that blue mandrel you use with the groove for the bead and I just can't find one that looks like it. Most are just steel ones that don't have any groove or a very small one. Do you have any recommendations? It didn't look like the ones you linked had that groove either...

Very pretty and simple process! Love the simplicity of your final creation! Try getting a Xuron “Shear 2175” Flush Cutter with the orange grips - I absolutely love it and have used it for years w/o the blade ever getting dull or marked up. [The number I put in quotes is the number that is embossed on the metal part of my Flush Cutter.] It makes a clean cut. You never have to twist and turn to cut your wires. I cut one time and that is it. It's easy to find online!!

"Cute little wire wrap rings,"...They really are 👍 We are always looking for something different to present at our shows and this design is a great idea to add to our collection. I am truly amazed at how well these simple ideas sell out. I could not keep these in stock at our show over the weekend. Love this tutorial and your bubbly persona; I'm thinking you are a blast to engage with at your shows 😁 Kris and I are really into some of your other woven ring ideas as well, you have a great talent. For those looking for more ideas such as this one, see more of Yvonne's ideas on her channel, or check out Melissa at Zurich's Designs on UA-cam as she has some great simple ring ideas as well. Don't limit yourselves, spread out, break rules, and create 😎👍

How do you keep the ring from getting smaller than the size you are making? Do I have to put the wire on a half size. Say my ring size is a 7, do I put it on 7 1/2? Cause it seems like the wire wrapping is making it smaller

  • @user-lr5cx1ni4r

I must be really stupid. I can't get the wire to wrap tightly around the bead. I have a steel ring mandrel which makes it harder to hold, in my opinion. Still I shouldn't be this clumsy.

Then I watched it again and followed along and saw what I had missed. I've made six of them now. I'll have to get some Parawire and some better tools I only have needle nose pliers and round nose pliers right now. The wire I have right now nicks up pretty easily but its good for practice.

May sound odd.. Is it possible to do glass beads in a way you did the cabochon eyes??

Hi, love it! :) I was wondering, how does the wire react to skin? I want to try making this but am afraid that it will oxidize, change color or leave color marks on the skin??

I really love all of your videos , they are awesome, informative and very fun.
And I realize what an artist you are because I've seen this ring in other places.
Thank you so much for the great videos and all the information! Oh yours is the best.

I like the way you make the little curves in the sides of the rings. I think I am going to try that with mine! Great idea! Love the fairy house you made! Did you make it out of clay?

I once bought a ring at KC ren fest that had three beads. I have since lost it, but l loved it. The beads were in a line and the wire was woven between the beads in a pattern that i can't duplicate from memory. do you know what I'm talking about, and can you do a tutorial on it?

There are a couple different ways that can be done; I will see what I can do for you in a video!

Yvonne Williams did you make this video yet? I was thinking you could put the beads on the wire on a mandrel and then put the other side of the wire thru all 3 and then wrap around the mandrel once with each side and when you get back to the beads weave in and out of the beads with both sides not going açtually in the beads but around them and then wrap around the mandrel once more and when you get back to the beads just wrap the wire a few times around the two bands you just made right next to the beads so they don't move around and then clip. I really hope I made sense lol
