In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create this adjustable wire wrapped sun ring using a 4mm bead of your choice and round wire!
Let's get started!
............................................................
Materials:
Ruler
Ring Mandrel
4 segments of 18 gauge wire, about 3” long
~ 9-12" of 20 Gauge Round Wire (Dead-Soft or Half-Hard)
24 gauge wire, you can cut off a segment, but I like to work from the spool.
A 4mm bead of your choice, just be sure that the hole is large enough for the 20 gauge wire.

Ty so much and easy when I can teach my granddaughters so that they get interested they’ve been into it for about a year but they’re still young. I hoping one day one of them have some skills or at least have fun❣️💞Love your videos
Aww, that's so sweet! I started young, but didn't have any guidance. So neat that they get to learn from their Grandma!

Suas joias são lindas . Como você faz pra dar s cor enegrecida nas peças?
Thanks so much! I use a liver of sulfur solution to darken the metal and then use a rotary tool or fine steel wool to polish it up. I hope that helps!
Multiple versions on this concept. Lanhahn uses fine wire. I used 18g
I love this design! I've seen some earrings from Cleft of the Rock Creations and pendants, but not a ring design. And with craft show season in swing, I thought why not make it adjustable?
❤🌹
I really like this ring, but I'm wondering how you prevent the end of the wire on top of the bead from catching on things?
You can file/sand it down or even use a cup bur to help soften the end. I also try and tuck in the wire as close as I can to the bead.
Very good, thanks so much@@ellieshandcrafted
I heard it called the lashing weave
Thanks for that! ☺️
Where I can find all those pliers thank you
Sorry for the late reply... The pliers I'm using are Swanstrom pliers from RioGrande. Here's the link: www.riogrande.com/product/swanstrom-pliers-set/111703GP/?code=111703
They are a bit of an investment, so if you're looking for a plier set that works well but a little easier on the wallet, I recommend these: amzn.to/3TMt9Q1
Hope that helps!
Can I get a pdf instruction for this ring?
I don’t have one at the moment. Sorry about that!
