They don’t speak French they speak a mix of French with african language The language emerged from contact between French settlers and enslaved Africans during the Atlantic slave trade in the French colony of Saint-Domingue (now Haiti) in the 17th and 18th centuries.[11][12] Although its vocabulary largely derives from 18th-century French, its grammar is that of a West African Volta-Congo language
I live in the Dominican republican I know plenty of Haitians here. They speak French, Creole, English, and also learning Spanish here in the Dominican Republic. Way more educated than…..well, never mind 😄
@@victorlora4199 well, now you’re being prejudice. You must be Dominican. You could be the smartest person in your country, but if the politicians mess up the country over corruption that has nothing to do with you. Dominican only speak Spanish and barely can do that properly but the average Haitian speaks like four languages.
Haitians can speak French, since they are forced to in my settings in Haiti. Haitian Creole is a French-based creole which has various African dialects and languages mixed in along with English, Spanish, and Taíno words. The number of French-speaking people has went down over the years however.
The Haitian stance has always been, and will forever remain, firmly against racism and colonialism. This is something that, unfortunately, many African Americans, Caribbean Blacks, Africans, Hispanics, and Asians alike have either overlooked or been coerced into resenting-specifically, the Haitians who have historically sacrificed themselves for the greater good of humanity. Haiti, the only truly “woke” Black nation, has consistently rejected the notion of Blackness or African identity as something inferior or subhuman. It is the only nation to have proven to the Western world that their draconian philosophies were rooted in ignorance, bias, and evil. Why do you think Haiti remains so impoverished? Why does the Western world persist in meddling in Haiti’s internal affairs? And why do they encourage Black Americans and other marginalized groups to dismiss Haiti’s struggles as a Haitian issue, as if the Haitian people somehow deserved their fate? This so-called fate, however, was imposed upon them-not by divine will, but by the white powers who have positioned themselves as God’s chosen ones to lead the world. These self-appointed custodians of divinity have constructed a narrative to justify their actions and the systemic oppression of others, reinforcing their supposed superiority as “God’s children” and enacting their draconian philosophies. The Black and other marginalized groups have been blindsided by the Western world’s deceptive ideologies, which are deeply embedded in colonialism. Haiti, however, freed humanity from these chains of oppression, even though they themselves have not been able to fully reap the rewards of their sacrifice. Meanwhile, the rest of the world continues to live off Haiti’s enduring legacy. It is as though the Haitian people are akin to robots, kept in check by a global power structure that fears the very destruction they might cause or have already unleashed. This, in essence, is the analogy of the Haitian people in relation to other marginalized groups. Haiti has done more than its share. Haitian soldiers fought alongside French and American forces during the American Revolution-one need only look to Savannah, Georgia, where statues stand in their honour. A Haitian was instrumental in building the city of Chicago. Haiti influenced Louisiana, and after achieving independence, it extended an invitation to all: Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, and especially Black Americans, offering them not only refuge but freedom. Many heeded this call and settled in Haiti. Haiti even aided Simón Bolívar in his quest to liberate Latin America and supported the Dominican Republic during times of extreme hardship. Indeed, the ideals, colours, and design of the Dominican flag are modelled after Haiti’s, as a homage or act of admiration for its former protectorate. The anti-Haitian rhetoric now prevalent in the Dominican Republic is little more than a contrived gimmick. Haiti has been generous to the world, and it will continue to be so, should the circumstances arise and the nation regain its former glory. Haiti gave the world freedom, and the Haitian Revolution of 1804 remains a cornerstone of humanity’s liberation. Long live the Haitian Revolution-a date that marks the emancipation of humankind. A special acknowledgment goes out to all Haitian U.S. Marines and Haitian French Foreign Legion soldiers-brothers in arms.

Yet, the Dominican Republic and others have often shown ingratitude, overlooking Haiti’s legacy and generosity. The similarities between the flags of Haiti and the Dominican Republic highlight its admiration for Haiti as a former protectorate. Long live the Haitian Revolution of 1804, a pivotal moment in the quest for human liberation.

Before any judgement, watch Battles between Dominican Republic and Haití, or 1822 to 1844 dominance of Haiti over Dominican Republic, you will know that the only common thing between Dominican and Haitian are the border.
That’s a bit exaggerated in my opinion. People in the world as a whole are connected, in the Caribbean and Latin America even more so.
One must not allow delusion and ignorance to become excuses for academic indolence. The historical record speaks clearly of the realities in question. Historically, Haiti played a pivotal role in shaping the Dominican Republic when it lacked the capacity to sustain itself independently. Despite any disputes over the treatment by Haitian forces, the fact remains that Haiti safeguarded the Dominican Republic. Thus, any grievances held by Dominicans today pale in significance. At a time when Haiti projected wealth and power to the world, even extending welfare and protection over the Dominican Republic, it did so without resorting to abuses that would have warranted international intervention. It is a discredit to the Dominican Republic to portray itself as merely a shadow of Haiti, particularly when its own history is so intertwined with the nation that once ensured its survival. Long live the Haitian revolution of 1804, a date of humanity’s liberation.
@@MikoWorldwide Yea they are the smartest people on the planet that’s why Haiti is the way it is….
@@MikoWorldwidedont turn on Dominicans now

Haitians in the Dominican Republic have the lowest paying jobs and work the hardest. They are also the most educated as they speak creole, French, English, and in my Spanish class there are 10 Haitians learning Spanish. Extremely educated people they literally do nothing but help build up the Dominican republic. The war going on in their country is not their fault just as I have nothing to do with the American military or what country American invades. I hope patient will be able to return to their country soon. And I would love to visit as well.
Shut up every time a Haitian goes to Dominican Republic they end up killing us in our own soil the best thing for Haitians is for them to integrate with an African country that’s the only solution France put them on the western part of the island they can either take them to France or they make their way to Africa just like how they made it to the USA
They should use that education to fix their country.
I hear otherwise. But I hope those educated people can go back to Haiti sooner than later. A heartbreakingly poor country needs them.

The entire world, including the Dominican Republic, owes a debt to Haiti. To those who act as traitors or exhibit ignorance, particularly Dominicans, take heed. Over 202 years ago, Haitian soldiers helped remove the Spanish Empire under the command of the Haitian Empire-of which the Dominican Republic was once a protectorate-standing on their own during the Haitian War of Liberation against the Spanish for the Dominican Republic. A visit to or a look at the Dominican Republic, its flag, colors, and design, and the ideals throughout its history, would reveal admiration and respect for Haiti. This would serve as a stark reminder of this forgotten history and as a source of shame for those who remain ungrateful. Moreover, the entire country of the Dominican Republic bears the indelible marks of Haitian contributions. While the world may attempt to undermine other migrant groups, the Haitians, through their legacy, will forever hold a mirror to the world’s conscience, revealing the profound ingratitude and historical oversight that must not be ignored. Long live the Haitian Revolution of 1804, a date of humanity’s liberation.

I 100% agree with you. In the UN Charter ALL humans have a natural right to move around freely across the land. We’ve had tribes and caliphates and city states and empires and now we have nations. Only issue is the compounding crises of our world (refugees, rogue states and especially climate change) CANNOT be resolved through our current understanding of the world as an assortment of divided, disputing and sovereign nations. It’s wayy past time to consider a new way forward for the world. This is one where the international community and the local community are the strongest forces of our world. Not fake borders and fake nations. We already have an internet that tethers so much of the world together, it’s time to finally work together as one humanity.
