MFT Style Assembly Table // Outfeed table //Workbench

- I've been using my Festool MFT table as an outfeed table /assembly table / workbench since I moved in my new workshop. This set up was temporarily though, and I recently decided to think about a more permanent solution.
So I ordered a couple replacement slabs made of MDF from a local cabinet maker (same size as the Festool one), and I built a mobile outfeed table with storage, using some reclaimed kitchen cabinets and an old countertop.
As I had plenty cabinets left, I decided to build a second MFT style table, and use it as my new mobile assembly table/workbench in the back of my shop.
I'm very pleased with how these tables came out and I plan to use them for many years to come!
A couple videos worth watching that inspired me to design my tables:

Great video and workbench!
Great pacing. Pretty satisfying to see that sink cutout turned into useable stock, huh?
simply beautiful. can not find other words
Love how you repurpose materials! Awesome job!!!
Thank you!
very clever series - which has been very helpful as I am in the process of designing and building my own hobby shop around my Festool tools - thank you for posting.

I was like...why is he making holes in the sides? The last 30" of the video opened a whole world of opportunities to me. Thanks! And subscribed.
Great job
That's one neat and sturdy build. Thanks for this
Looks great! Nice job. I love the re-use of the cabinets.
Excellent idea . Tables turned out really nice and functional so I think I'm going to build myself one
Thank you! Hope you'll enjoy the build as much as I did!
Hi, nice Job looks realy great. Just a little improvement in my opinion...
the holes on the top of the table will also let the dust come in and probably it will be difficult to get it out of there. So it would make sense to integrate a narrow drawer at that point, to easily get the dirt out again and finaly you add a littlebit more storage space.
Best reagards from Berlin Germany, Steppe
Very interesting build with OSB. Cool cabinet.
Thanks!
I am loving the osb and laminate look.. I'm thinking of do that theme for my workshop now..genius and the wood is cheaper than plywood and easily replaceable.
Super filmy i kawał dobrej roboty. Pozdrawiam.
awesome idea , i need one now
Great. I'd love one of those! I'm going to follow your videos now.
Thank you!
Impressionnant !...
Great job, you got me subscribed, I’ll be waiting for your next project !
Great Video, thanks for sharing!
These look great - I’d love to have one or two for the shop!
TY! Feel free to build one!
Great video! I love MFT style benches. Subscribed for sure!
Nice job keep the videos coming
Thanks Paul!
Great job, another new subscriber here, glad the channel found me!
Thanks Henry!
WoW those tables came out great, i have reused old cabinets before but for wall storage, i never really thought of an MFT and OSB, and as i have said before in an earlier video, it's cheap and i use it all the time? Thanks for the ideas, a big thumbs up from me.
Barry (ENG)
Thanks Barry!
Well done
Great work! i subscribe, can't wait your next project~!
Thank you very much!!
Liked and subbed. Great job!
I also have a dewalt saw, I would love to see your setup and how’s built. Thanks!!
That should be my next video.
Very cool video & very cool channel 👍👍👍🍺
Thank you!
Great idea! New subscriber here. A thought is to put a french cleat system on the backside of that one cabinet. Just a thought.
Thanks Stanley! I'm not sure yet how I will use the side of the tables yet, but it's definitely a good option!
Nice tables! I hate that sinking feeling you get after carefully measuring and realizing that you screwed up anyway. At least it wasn't for a client using custom made (expensive) cabinets. (Ask me how I know, lol) Oh well, if you're not making mistakes, you're not doing anything.
Thank you! The more you fail, the more you learn!
Great recycle effort - I bet that weighed a ton!
Yes, it's heavy! And a zillion time more stable than the MFT3 table from Festool. I can't bring them on site though...
subbed!
Liked and subbed
TY!
You do excellent work I like how you repurpose stuff. But answer me one question why the music?
I can never understand why talented people feel the need to add music to make their video be better when all you want to see is their work if you want to hear music you put on the music video...
Why the music? Simply because I like it :-)
Excellent, great use of material. How do you find the osb board was thinking of building one with plywood but the osb would be a much cheaper option. Great video
Kindest regards William
I can find nice and cheap OSB panels anywhere here in Belgium, that's why I'm using this material so much (plus I love the look).
What kind of hard wax oil did you use on the OSB? Is it on Amazon? Thanks.
Everything looks really great. 👍🏻
Thank you! I use mostly Osmo 3031 for my projects. You will have hard a time to find this product at a reasonable price if you live in the US.
Attention please. The live it's 1. ;)
What table-saw do you have? Finding a good one in Europe under 3K is near impossible.
It's a 500€ job site Dewalt DW745.
Excellente récup! Quel est la marque et le modèle de votre scie sur table? Dewalt dw745? Merci et vivement la prochaine vidéo!
Merci ! Ma scie est effectivement une DW745, modèle 2013.
hi. welches format hat diese "C" Schiene?

Great benches, but what are the holes in the top for?
They are made for bench dogs. You can make perfect 90 cuts using them, and clamp everything on the bench. Look for bench dogs, mft3 table on UA-cam for more information.
@@HODYODesign How do you clean out the space under the top of the table. The space under the dogs, that is a large void with no easy way of cleaning. A great example of recycling.
@@robertharvie9032 actually I don't clean it. Dust will stay trapped until I remove the top. No big deal.
You've got a bad habit of putting your free hand in front of the saw as you cut. One day they will call you Lefty.
Thanks for the advice.
