  • I've been using my Festool MFT table as an outfeed table /assembly table / workbench since I moved in my new workshop. This set up was temporarily though, and I recently decided to think about a more permanent solution.
So I ordered a couple replacement slabs made of MDF from a local cabinet maker (same size as the Festool one), and I built a mobile outfeed table with storage, using some reclaimed kitchen cabinets and an old countertop.
As I had plenty cabinets left, I decided to build a second MFT style table, and use it as my new mobile assembly table/workbench in the back of my shop.
I'm very pleased with how these tables came out and I plan to use them for many years to come!
A couple videos worth watching that inspired me to design my tables:

Hi, nice Job looks realy great. Just a little improvement in my opinion...
the holes on the top of the table will also let the dust come in and probably it will be difficult to get it out of there. So it would make sense to integrate a narrow drawer at that point, to easily get the dirt out again and finaly you add a littlebit more storage space.

WoW those tables came out great, i have reused old cabinets before but for wall storage, i never really thought of an MFT and OSB, and as i have said before in an earlier video, it's cheap and i use it all the time? Thanks for the ideas, a big thumbs up from me.

Nice tables! I hate that sinking feeling you get after carefully measuring and realizing that you screwed up anyway. At least it wasn't for a client using custom made (expensive) cabinets. (Ask me how I know, lol) Oh well, if you're not making mistakes, you're not doing anything.

You do excellent work I like how you repurpose stuff. But answer me one question why the music?
I can never understand why talented people feel the need to add music to make their video be better when all you want to see is their work if you want to hear music you put on the music video...

They are made for bench dogs. You can make perfect 90 cuts using them, and clamp everything on the bench. Look for bench dogs, mft3 table on UA-cam for more information.

@@HODYODesign How do you clean out the space under the top of the table. The space under the dogs, that is a large void with no easy way of cleaning. A great example of recycling.

You've got a bad habit of putting your free hand in front of the saw as you cut. One day they will call you Lefty.
