Colorist you colorist you slayed that hair. The color is stunning I can’t believe you got that with 40VOL. I never use 40vol because it seems like it only works for 15 20 mins then stops. The placements are amazing some of them I wasn’t sure about but seeing the end results you did that.

@kathryn I get told this too some refuse to work on my hair with box dye but I always thought it was because of their lack of experience and not that it’s impossible. I have a hair apt soon don’t want to get turned away but I wonder if it’ll be close to this good

Beautiful ! I’ve gone 2 times to my hairdresser to achieve this color and still in the yellow stage . And my hair was virgin dark brown fine straight hair . What did you do to her base /roots ? Just wondering was there a lot of damage needing her to cut a few inches off ?? I’m really trying to keep length and go blonde !

TheReisecup89 no the toner was at the end with the white wella boxes ( which I also what I use when I need to freshen up my color in between sessions
Well being at the yellow stage is a great place to be. That means you are at a level9 and there are only 10 levels. I would tell your hair dresser to get joico 9SB it works great creating the illusion of platinum blonde. Or tell her to to lighten your hair with 10vol or 6vol or even 5vol,to get you to the pale yellow level 10. There will always be a little yellow in your hair if we bleach out all the yellow your hair will break and fall out toners create the illusion of white hair

This is what I asked my hairstylist and I had similar hair as her but stylist told me it was not possible :( and that I’d have to come for one or two more sessions :(
Gabriella Sanz There is nothing wrong with her suggestions. She knows her capabilities, and she saved your hair by gradually coloring your hair.
@@thanksmaddytv815 Yeah, maybe but she ended up giving me highlights and not a balayage like I would have wanted so it was kinda disappointing. Also when I straighten my hair the color does not blend like this video

my hair has black box dye. I am on my forth visit to get light and its not even close to this.

I'm curious as to what the formula for the toner is. I have a tough time at this part with the orange.
Netta Bear matrix has a toner called anti brass that’s works amazing. Anything with blue. The orange undertones are in levels 7 and 8 sometimes a little in level 9. And I always add a little bit of a Neutral shade in with my toner formulas
Think color wheel. Whatever color the hair is use the exact opposite toner to cancel it out.
I still can't get over how much product you use. I sure hope you charge for that. It's got to be expensive going through that much supply on every client. Yikes!

Ugh I wish I could get my hair this light, I wanted a white streak in my previously box dye hair but it’s been 10 months since I last dyed my hair and she said well we probably won’t even be able to get it platinum to get to white 🙄🙄🙄clearly it’s can be done ugh so mad rn

Yeah that's the colorist's own inability or insecurity. You pick. It's not your hair.
I mean for a transformation like this you can expect to pay a lot! And not everyone hair can handle the process

Wow I wish this is how my hair turned out! Right now my stylist bleached the black box dye to a honey Carmel color which I hate because I feel so weird and it’s not blond, I have to wait six weeks before getting re bleached but I really don’t like this brassy look, any advise? 😭
Literally same exact thing that happened to me. It’s so splotchy also, I paid $300 and it honestly doesn’t have enough highlights in it. They only did half my hair cause “I have too much hair”
@uwjm, I feel your pain.. Hopefully you'll get what you desire next time. I suggest that you should wait until the weeks are are over to redo it.
@makayla, that's ridiculous... It's not your fault for being blessed with hair. it's their job to please the the client. Having a lot of hair should not be an issue.
@@EuqinaD i ended up writing a review on the salon. With before and after pictures along with how much it costed and the fact it was only a “half balayage” due to how much hair I had. The stylist texted me and offered free services and also offered to return the money in exchange for me removing my review.
The crazy part is, it’s the owner of the salon I had booked with because I wanted to most experienced person there. At least I got my money back.
