- The UN Secretary-General's Call to Action on Extreme Heat brings together the diverse expertise and perspectives of ten specialized UN entities (FAO, ILO, OCHA, UNDRR, UNEP, UNESCO, UN-Habitat, UNICEF, WHO, WMO) in a first-of-its-kind joint product, underscoring the multi-sectoral impacts of extreme heat.
Earth is becoming hotter and more dangerous for everyone, everywhere. Billions of people around the world are wilting under increasingly severe heatwaves driven largely by a fossil-fuel charged, human-induced climate crisis. Extreme heat is tearing through economies, widening inequalities, undermining the Sustainable Development Goals, and killing people.
The Call for Action calls for an urgent and concerted effort to enhance international cooperation to address extreme heat in four critical areas: Caring for the vulnerable - Protecting workers - Boosting resilience of economies and societies using data and science - Limiting temperature rise to 1.5°C by phasing out fossil fuels and scaling up investment in renewable energy.
I must admit I want to turn away from this reality ,however something inside makes that impossible . I pray your words will resonate .

Also, please don't ignore the genocide that's being carried out these days in Bangladesh under the government of Sheikh Haseena Wajid. Heat pump running from Solar during perfect conditions during sunlight peak hours is my goal and geothermal for cooling. Utilizing rain water recycling what we use are imperative!
Saturns weather cycles exactly like earths just a far different timeliness.

in capitalism, an enterprise' top priority is profit. if using fuels and polluting is more profitable, i suspect we'll never do anything but talk. force must be used, by the governments and u.n., and in parallel an alternative must be delivered by governments, so that capitalism can hold to its profit even if giving up on oil etc. but that would mean governments dont let corporations interfering in their actions. it seems unlikely that governements will rid themselves of links with big corporations, and so all we'll probably do is mostly more talk.
regardless how good a speech is, a business in capitalism will not give up its profit. if things get really messy, we'll maybe replace capitalism (if it even matters anymore at that point) and maybe we'll all end up in some form of socialism
