This phone belongs in 2017 lmao and it has a speaker grill which I don't like, something the G8 doesn't have and it's super amazing not having that. Ama just stick with my G8 till LG makes something cool if not switch to the Nokia they keep talking bout that phone that has a camera under the screen

I feel sorry for LG who released such a terrible phone. They should have released an earlier model's remix with quad-DAC and with a chubby x≥5000mAh battery for power users. Looks like LG Velvet model developers live in an affluent and completely different world ... like Gangnam.

Fix the software LG! My V20 is still stuck only with 1 major upgrade, camera software is full with noise reduction! The video recording capabilities is not that good they shaky ive try v20 and v30 not much improvement and they gone from my country lol. I love lg but if their software suck then i have no hope i miss the quad dac i still use my v20 because of that
To be honest, besides stereo speakers, this phone is downgrade in literary every way compare G7 or G8. I wouldn't buy that phone for half of it's price
I like the back but the teardrop notch on the front reminds me of Android midrange devices. The bezels are probably bigger than my Galaxy A70s. And no quad dac? Downgrade.

It has been some time since you uploaded English videos and I missed watching your videos. Please continue to upload more English contents especially on South Korea first/only phone like this LG Velvet. As a LG G7 user, I appreciate LG Velvet design change but I don't like how it replaced the G series because it sacrifices flagship soc, quad dac, and OIS. I hope they still keep the good haptic vibration on this LG Velvet.
I was expecting more, I'm highly dissatisfied with the direction LG took with the Velvet. No SD865 chip, no QHD+ screen, no QDAC headphone experience so hell they lost me. Hoping LG wakes up next year.
I've had an LG Shine, Optimus 2X, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, G6 and V30, but do not see myself buying a currrent LG phone. Velvet & V60 have nothing over the competition and save costs on things that are so important to their loyal base like the Quad DAC. LG knows how to make great hardware and innovate, so it's sorry to see them fall short.
@@notagain2856 The V60 does have an ESS Quad Dac, namely their newest ES9219. But other than that and the added dual-screen case, the V60 is barely on par with competitors.
I think they missed the boat on this one. For what I keep hearing this price will be anyway. The front does look good but honestly the back reminds me more of random lg phones from back in 2012 than some brand new style. Don't get me wrong I hope it's a huge success,but I think they need to do a ton more work on software instead of worrying about rebranding and etc.
As an ex G6 user LG has gone down a lot of paths I don't like. -Notch -Oversized body -Dropping from QHD to FHD -And now dropping flagship processor quad dac as well. This phone looks way better than any other phone in the market. But, Such a narrow design with curved screen is gonna be a nightmare for typing. Narrow design is great, but the curves will trouble definitely.
Just to comment that in terms of design aspect of such Flagship level phone, the tear drop front facing camera is so 2019. (You could refer to GSM arena website to take comparison look at the current flagship models from other companies.)
I think this phone is trying to beat out all the mid range phones but not the flagships...i would have preferred it if LG release the G9 instead... this phone does seem ok but too big (I use Samsung S9 now)
Or just pick up an V50. It's faster, has the DAC, imo isn't worse looking than the velvet and you can get it for under $500 right now in the US at least

I don't get the hate on LG's UI honestly. Back then LG had much better UI compared to Samsung and Sony. I've had the LG Stylo 2 for like 3-4 years and I still like the UI.

You can entirely turn off the top part and it would look like a bezel. And in V60 (So i think in here too), theres a setting that blurs the top portion next to the camera while keeping the sides as a notification bar which totally hides the notch. (I think this looks even better than a punchhole)
With moto edge plus, Sony Xperia mark 2 and this one I see competition. Yeah not this year but if they do some more improvements 2 years later they’ll be a tough competitors.

No Hi-Fi quad dac, not made in Korea anymore, poor camera quality of the smaller lens. I love the G8 which I am using now more.

No, I would rather have the V40 which costs 290-360€ and it has 6gb RAM and Snapdragon 845 plus the quad DAC and wireless charging.

I had an iPhone XS but switched to this phone. I don't regret my decision. Its fast and its good screen. Not best camera but that's fine for me.
