Film by Eric? Climbing film by Eric? Outdoor climbing film by Eric? Can't wait!
Erm whos eric?
Well, this is Eric's channel, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...
Imagine a kid going to a playground just to see Emil screaming
This is one of my favorite climbing videos in at least the last year. The vibe of you guys having fun climbing really hard climbs in a playground is real nice. Super positive feels all round. Good work.
Really appreciate hearing that :)
Did you think about asking the city who designed it? (Where I live, that would be contacting the parks dept of the city council). It would be good to give them positive feedback so that they might do similar projects elsewhere.
We have been thinking of looking more into it and see if we can find who designed it and how many others spots around the world have similar blocs :)
@@EricKarlsson normally people only contact the city to complain, so they tend to enjoy getting complements! The story of how they got built would be interesting (but may end up being too 'local' for the channel)
@@EricKarlsson Entre Prise is written on it, they are a French wall and hold manufacturer.
@@DenisHoste Yeah we have a lot of their walls in the gyms here in Sweden, not sure if they still produce these blocs, hopefully we can find out :)
@@EricKarlsson I've got something where I live that has something sort of similar it's 3 big hexagonal shapes piled on each other with footholds attached. Not as much freedom because everything but the screwed in holds are barely holdable but I've still managed to make a couple hardish climbs with only feet on the screwed in holds.
Looking forward to the film! The shot composition colour grading and lighting looks beautiful.
Thanks man :)
Awesome and fun video! It seems to me that I saw some cracks! You should get Pete for a collab jam session*! I mean a video with the title "doing crack on a children's playground" will probably get you demonetized faster than you can upload, but it should be worth it ;)
*I can imagine a great route setting episode Nikken vs Pete too!
haha that title sure is youtube top tier :D the cracks are really good so I will train some crack climbing there in the future :D
Imagine the little ones excited to go play in the park for the afternoon, and a bunch of guys there with camera equipment, blocking off the area, sending everyone away 😂.
"Sorry kids, it's big kids play time right now. You might get hurt."
Then, while filming, the kids are watching from the sides, going "Why aren't those guys just using the holds? Are they daft? Adults are dumb." 😅
Nah I am assuming the kids were already there and they chased them off so they could film on the playground!
@@markchristiansen4827 I'm assuming they did this on a week day, when the kids were at school
Stoked for the film. Seeing you hone your filmmaking craft over the years is so inspiring
Thanks man :))
7c crimpy boulder problem and children's playground are two things i never thought id hear in the same sentence
I have one of these boulders in our town. The holds are seemingly set randomly, some of the routes only have like 3 holds and a sloped top(these boulders are like 12 feet tall). I hang out there sometimes and I’ve yet to complete any of the routes or see anybody complete one(without rainbow climbing). I have no idea how they expected children to be able to do these. I am a novice climber though so maybe I’m just bad.
Entre Prises are a pretty big climbing wall builder in the world. Similar to Walltopia. Their founder invented the first climbing holds. And they're French, so that might explain the Fountainebleau vibe. So fun to watch you guys.
rungne clothing is so cool, but its too expensive, cant commit to buying anything just yet. if the cost could be reduced it would be great!
This channel deserves much more subscribers.
Your quality is though the roof.
PRESS THE BUTTON YOU ALL!!!
Goddamn legend
7:46 Perfectly said. Ironically doing an easier route that you know you should be able to do is more stressful (i.e. having to re-do a route that you failed on the last move).
Imagine walking past some childerns playground and saw half naked guy doing stuff on it... totally not weird experience...🤣
Great video anyways 👍
Was at that park in a dress and sandals recently and gave some of those climbs a non-serious go.
I was also wondering how the kids were supposed to get down lol
11:35 hahaha! You tricked us with the hype music! 3 2..and instead of the "drop", its Emil who drops from the boulder! Nice "trolling"! 🤟
Love your Kyo pfp
I saw the thumbnail for this video and immediately thought it was Emil. I got off UA-cam and came back to watch the video but couldn't find it under Emils' page lmao.
Wish I could see storror or toby segar here would be sick to see them try hard stuff like this even though im sure its outside their grade
Yeah would love to see that too, they most have similar blocs in the UK :D
I believe Toby could do some of the lines, but the others probably not. One thing they could all manage though would be getting back down without a ladder 😆
On a more serious note it's difficult to assess anyone's grade really, since it depends so much on the style of the boulder. Toby sent Red Rocket in Font and that's graded 8a, but obviously it's right up his alley with the explosive power needed (same with Rainbow Rocket 7c+). He's not bad on other styles either, but not quite on that level for sure.
Im so confused about this channel, I don’t think I’d ever actually seen Erik before, I feel like it’s always nikken or sum, who is nikken?
The playground reminds me of major animated movies of recent history (last 30ish years) where for the most part it is a kids movie, but there are parts for the grown ups to enjoy.
Dude loved the colors and lighting at the kids park in this vid! And the Rungne project sneak peak was 🤯.
My man I always appreciate your kind comments, big thank you Miguel :)
I love that these guys just love to have fun, even in a kid's playground. What other V15 climbers do you see messing around having fun like this? Love it!
10:58 The sound of a Half-Life 1 scientist
Glad you guys came back to the playground! And that upcoming film looks incredibly beautiful, cant wait!
Where is the park?
Rålis - childrens playground in stockholm

It's super fun:))
Defenetly check it out if you are in Stockholm:))
We had a naturally shaped fibreglass climbing wall. But nothing like this. Freakin' brilliant to have this in public access.
jeez, this playground would have been awesome when I was younger.
1:28 wow! this frame/composition is pretty close to perfect!!! nice work
Last summer I came across a similar, but not as fancy, rock formation at a childrens playground here in Iceland while playing disc golf in that same park. Me and my friend who are both ca V6 climbers thought we would do a nice traverse around the thing, using the screwed on holds, and got pretty much instantly shut down. The holds were so weathered and slippy that we barely made a few moves each. The big jugs felt like slippy slopers. I would love to visit it again and see how we do this time around.
Yesss been loving the more frequent uploads and even better you’ve treated us with some outdoor content
Me: What happened to the children?
Also: Ma! The UA-camrs are back and hogging the climbing rocks again!!!
bro, I lived about 1 hour from Fontainebleau and never realized how known it was in the bouldering community.
Very common to see boulders like this in and around Seattle, and really all of Washington, doubtless due in part to our large climbing community. Always fun to try and come up with lines, but I never have my shoes on me so that always makes them very campusy
We have one of these in Seattle, down by the airport! Looks like something EP Climbing make.
Entre-prises the company that made these is the same company that supplies the walls for the olympics, so they probably are quite serious about their walls :D.
Is that Rålis? Great vid as always!
yeah :D
Very good work on the colors but I feel like i miss some variety of frames like you used to do back in the days, feeling like I want to see more close ups or uncommon points of views that we don’t see often in climbing. It makes it a little bit too static. Otherwise the atmosphere is really dope as always❤
This is so cool. Imagine if one day you can somehow meet the person who designed this rock!
Those "rocks" are made out of plastic? Like the whole piece? or what material is it otherwise?
😂how he casually says kids can jump from the top. Put up a slide yo
these boulders are just beautiful!
Just a really chill group of friends with sick skills. Video production again top notch, as was expected.
Thanks for regularly putting out amazing content.
Thank you man, sitting and eating, reading psyched comments, life is good :)
5:10 is sick, anyone know what its called?
where is this playground in sweden?
i need to go ther
Excited for the movie man! Great video
someone get this man a clip stick asap
In Stockholm Sweden, in a park called rålis
One of your best videos!!
I can't find this one video I was looking for of yours. It was you and Nikken in a new climbing gym and you guys had the whole gym to yourselves basically. I remember the walls were different colors like purple and orange I think.
lol emils boulder seems super morpho :D
Dang, the nature in that first clip could fit right into Lord of the Rings. o,o
@@Mini-kyu appreciate hearing that 😍
''A real climber must have made this boulder..'' well it is made by entre prises so you'd hope so
been waiting for another one of these
So excited for the outdoor film! And another video on the plastic playground is a lot of fun!
Pro climber?😅
Really cool video and beautiful colors at the rope climbing crag. I was wondering: What's the name of the song you used for the editing in the end of the video? Also, where do you usually get your music for the videos from so you don't run into any copy-right issues. Thanks in advance :)
det galna är att jag går i skolan precis brevid
In which city is this playground located? **
"how do you get down?"
Me: if you can fall from the top you can jump from the top
we wearing the same shirt lol
Wow that vid was 2years ago?! Crazy how time goes by. 😢
Love your videos!! ❤
I wonder how many yards of concrete is needed to recreate one of these in the back yard.... lol
Such a great relaxing video to watch. You guys did superb work!
How are these boulders made? Like, what are the materials?
You're an artist for pairing those shots with that song at 16:02 🌞
is there a video of the route setting competition?
hmm I dont think so, but there are some footage on Elements and kletterkultur IG channels :)
it´s like an easter egg
song at the end???
Why is your playground boulder so nice. The ones close to me can hardly be called boulders
Sweden want us to climb boulders it seems ;D
The good 'ol Makita-fan... got 2 of them... 😂
Thank you!
Is there a vid for the setting comp?
Am i wrong or is that action direct in the intro?
Nikken's boulder is really nice line
Finally Emil is back on the channel
GG Emil, and thanks, helps a lot!

What is the name of the route that emil is trying in the beginning of the video? Looks so cool
Its called scott linjen, 8b+ route
@@EricKarlsson thanks!

My city here in Texas did a really similar thing last year, put a couple of real, very nice boulders in the park by my house, and there are some great lines.
Also one of these days, I am finally going to come to Sweden to try these boulders, and finally fulfill my dream of climbing on some of Nikken's blocs 😊 p.s. I'm super excited for the new project, Eric
Are they similiar size to these ones? Also appreciate the excitment for the project :D
@@EricKarlsson they're not quite as tall but have some really cool features. Also there's no plastic bolted onto them which is nice 🙂
@@davidwilson12590 Oh that sounds really nice, wish it was the same on ours :)

@@maxunknown91 hahaha sounds like the right choice! ;D
Anyone here is not a climber but is fully invested in the videos?
Love to hear it :D
I’ve been sucked into the climbing world of UA-cam and can’t stop watching everyone’s channels! I have never climbed in my life 😅
@@Cami_2006. You have to go climb :D why haven't you tried yet?
@Cami_2006. Same here! Watching Magnus years ago was my door to the epicness of the world of climbing. I have never climbed in my life either because I always thought this sport was not suitable for a big girl like me but after I watched Eddie Hall conquer a wall, it changed me. Maybe I will try in the future 😆 Let's try!

What do you mean it's like outdoor climbing, it IS outdoor climbing lol
It is, but also not, these boulders are plastic, so its a strange feeling climbing on them the first time :)
