Howdy, Cousin! San Fernando is my 23rd G grandfather. I visit the cathedral names for him every time I am in San Antonia, Texas (which houses a life-size statue). I was happy to learn that Fernando isa a first Cousin of Saint Louis of the grand historic cathedral in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I have attended mass.
Saint Ferdinand III of Castile and Leon is my 23rd great-grandfather through his daughter by Juana de Danmartin, Eleonor of Castile, and her daughter by Edward 1st Longshanks, Joan of Acre, Countess of Gloucester and Hertford and her daughter by Gilbert “The Red Earl” de Clare, Margaret de Clare, countess of Cornwall and Gloucester. 😀

Do we refer to St. Fernando's cousin, St. Louis IX as King St. Louis IX? No, he's St. Louis IX. St. Fernando III is also correct.
