- Utah is having a hard time deciding if it's going to finally be Spring or if we are going to keep Winter all year🤦🏻♀️ It sure feels more like Winter than Spring the past few weeks🥶 Spring is such a busy time for our family, we are wrapping up the 2020/2021 school year, spring sports, tumbling, birthday parties and just all the other normal day to day things! Its crazy busy right now. Owen has his second baseball game of the spring season today and it just happens that a Spring "Winter" storm moved in over night and the dropped temperatures to just above freezing. The freezing temps make it almost impossible to play baseball in, not to mention sit and watching it. Carmen and Claire are playing Pickle Ball when Carmen has a freak accident happen. She take a hard fall right onto the concrete and scrapes up her knee pretty bad. Cleaning out her cut up knee was a very dramatic process, but in order to avoid infection it has to be done!

Love this video. At the end Carmen😘 was a champ. Carmen darling I love your little dance before going into the store. Claire😘 always looking so cute even eating popcorn. The girl just loves to eat and doesn't gain a lb she keeps her figure so nice and lean with all the cheering and tumbling gymnastics she does. SO CUTE! Health care professionals advise against peroxide because it only irritates the wound. Wash the wound with warm water and mild soap & apply antibiotic ointment. Feel better Carmen!
My mom used to do peroxide but she found out it wasn't worth hurting us more

The best way i learn to do it is the dap technique where you take a cloth and soared of dap it around the soar until you finally get on the soar and whip it quick and catch her of gaurd it’s a real doctor technique for kids.

Pickel ball is hard to play
Bandaid brand makes a wound wash that is sting free. Neosporin makes a foam for wounds both work great. Might cause less friction when you have ouchies.😀

Our family doctor says using alcohol and peroxide actually harms the tissue and causes scaring. And that there's absolutely no reason to use it. The use of those products started from out dated nursing practices from the 1950's that got passed down.
So we just use water to clean and neosporin. After looking it up again it seems to be the common view on it now.

I was not fond of baseball! It always snowed on opening day! And so cold for most of beginning games. When it got warm it was over! They needed to start a bit later. We got to the point we parked so we could park our truck in a good spot to set in it and watch the game. To stay warm.

I'm 47 now but when I was 9 I was chopping wood in my backyard and the axe got stuck I pulled it out of the wood it flipped backwards in to my right knee I didn't even cry I just yelled for my dad he tried not to freak out but I could tell he was worried

Enjoyed watching this! Hope Carmen’s knee heals quickly but glad you got it cleaned up and neosporin and a bandaid in it. I have done hydrogen peroxide before too from cat scratches but at least I didn’t get an infection since I got them cleaned up really good.
No need to use Hydrogen Peroxide. That is no longer recommended for cuts and scrapes as it can cause damage to the surrounding tissue.

Lol Carmon's knee wasn't to big...but I do understand. I got hurt when I was about her age or just a bit younger. I got 2 fingernails ripped off at the same time. Mashed between 2 boards. Mom had to clean that with peroxide to. That hurt so bad. Mom said it don't hurt it just bubbles. It's taking the dirt out. Haha ok Mom.
