Thanks for taking the time to make this and show the issues.
Selling my unused cams, valves, and locks just in case anyone is interested.

there was no issues with the parts, it was the user. No matter what brand you use, the results here would be the same.

I was thinking of priming with the valve covers of so I can visually see oil getting to the cams?

Use lots of stuff called cam shield. Everywhere. Side of buckets, tops of the buckets, cams. And prime it. Would be messy without valve covers .

You have mention a lot about the issues with oil starvation on these series of videos and I will say sorry for the off topic, as I will mention 4G63 engine fitted with kiggly oil regulator valve on the cylinder head, they talk about 15psi output because that will do and there will be more oil volume this way at the crank, have you seen or notice issues with running the Kiggly oil reculator on the 4G63 cylinder heads?

We don't see cylinder head issues from using the Kiggly HLA.

I see the head is clearanced for larger cams. Is this mandatory for GSC S1 cams? Also, fuel dilution is a huge problem for many oils, and spinning the engine over with no spark and without disabling fuel is a nightmare for the oil. The top end suffers enough with good oil, but diluted oil is worthless for sliding friction surfaces like cams and buckets/shims.

it is not so much the cam, but for the casting. The castings are all over the place in terms of clearance. Non of them hit, but so close that it can be an issue.

@@headgames OK, so I'll check on install and cross my fingers for 40 thou! I know what you mean about the castings. I did a head for a friend a very long time ago, and the seats were all off center clearly from core shift. The only saving grace was he went 1mm OS on the valves and the throat diameter I wanted based on his valve selection got rid of most of the ridge. I talked it over with Barrie Gerolamy (I lived in Sacramento at the time) not long after he was doing the heads for Nissan's GTP team which gives you some idea how long ago that was.

I think I ran my car a little too low on oil and am having a similar issue :(
