Periphery - Muramasa, Ragnarok, & Masamune (Guitar Covers)

I Believe this is the first full trilogy cover on UA-cam and I'm really stoked on it! These are three really amazing songs off Periphery's latest release. I hope you enjoy :)

Sorry, Muramasa is in a really low tuning for a 6 string and it's hard to get it to sound exactly right without having really heavy strings and the right intonation. I didn't want to have to re-set up my whole guitar for the one song. Thanks for watching

You can definitely tell the limitations of the Les Paul on that A chug. I've been chasing stable tuning/intonation on my jackson slx for a while now and run into the same problem.
Solid covers though dude, keep it up

Yes, the key is using bigger string gauge, but you want to set your guitar up to accommodate those thicker gauges. It sounds great, and if you have multiple guitars at your dispense, I would set this one up with .65-.10 and make sure to get a new bone nut. It'll sound awesome.

it's a tone set by my friend joel, it'd take a while to explain the whole set up but, basically an angel f-ball amp with 2 noise gates, a tube screamer, a tube comp, and a plate reverb

if you know the tuning for Totla Mad & Frak the Gods it's basically the same thing but applied to a 7 string it's Gb Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb
the idea is to extend the low range of the guitar

Ragnarok and masamune sounded pretty good man! But the les paul tuned down that low sounded kinda odd.. Don't you have issues with floppy strings and the notes going flat? With a guitar of that scale I can't imagine it works very well with a tuning that low.

yeah i did have issues but i figured that since it was only the one song it wouldn't really matter. and i wanted to play it the way it was recorded

i think the key is big string gauges, or at least a thick E string. i probably should've sized up a bit but i didn't want to have to buy new strings that i would have to change as soon as I finished the video
