@cihad2003 I don't play it all that near the bridge - I come up to the sound hole quite a bit. But to answer your question: the strings are tighter nearer to the bridge therefore they move less when plucked enabling greater control of the right hand - especially for tremolo where the fingers have to pluck the same string again and again. You want to try and play with a strong tone but you don't want the string flapping around all over the place.
This beautiful lady is a fantastic teacher. I really enjoy her videos and her guitar lessons for the magazines (Guitar Techniques) have significantly improved my playing. Thanks, Bridget!
There are literally hundreds of good versions on youtube, Williams, Bream, yepes, Milos, Romero, Muraji, but yours truly stands out. You have more than nailed it, you 'own 'it. Gorgeous. Well done a thousand times. I ve tries so so hard to learn this and just cannot do it wether its pami pima or pmim. But I so admire those who can.
i haven't heard you play in awhile Brigdet but i when to my favorites and listened to you and you are by far the best .I usually listen to john williams play it before i play but now it will be you lol thanks ! arriscraft breathtaking !!
This is brilliant, would never have got close to working this one out witthout your brilliant help, Bridget.. I thought I would never get the tremelo technique, but I love this tune so much I have practiced and practiced and I can copy any players tremelo but now I am still Only half way To mastering the fretboard on this one. Great Work Bridget I will post mine in about ten years time but i am having fun getting there ..
no words ! when i practice this piece i get the tremolo , think it is good ? but when i slow it down i don;t get the triple sound i get like eight notes instead . the hours involve , well for me anyway lol you are an inspiration indeed !!
Hi Bridget! 🥀 I have now for a week tryed too get your arrangement of Bach,s 974, can't find it on Scribd, Iv,e got the the first 8 bars (tabulatur) and learned them (limping) but whant the rest and love the piece and your interpretation. With love Erik.
Fantastic. I'm currently learning your version of La Forza Del Destino from the GT Spring 2011 issue, it's a great adaptation. Best of luck in everything.
Wow. You're so beautiful. And your playing is impeccable. Im actually learning this one right now. Cant get my tremolo as perfect as yours though :D Id love to see you live sometime :) x
@gipcarp I used to learn Bach pieces with all right hand fingering prescribed. It's a good training for the right hand and a good discipline to analyse how the fingers operate and to be in charge of what fingers you are using. However, once enough of this work has been established the right hand ought to have enough 'intelligence' to take care of things without needing fingering on every note. That said, it is still often necessary to decide specific RH fingering for certain passages.

Wow. You're so beautiful. And your playing is impeccable. Im actually learning this one right now. Cant get my tremolo as perfect as yours though :D Id love to see you live sometime :) x
molto bene. thanks
Gre-at tremolo... Nuff Said!
