Always look forward to your videos. We're both over 60 so staying home. Glad to see you're all doing well! (Always watch until the end to see your exit, lol.)
Kudos to you Ashley for standing there all that time while your husband explained his process - you are so supportive of him...I'm not sure I could have done that for my husband...I'da told him you go ahead and make the video this time lol
When you were talking about tightening the jacks I kept expecting you to say "and thats when the tile cracked" Glad that never happened! A tip for you or others reading: when you are filming in super dusty/sandy/rainy conditions you can try taping a clear plastic baggie to your camera covering all except the lens. I use the free ones you get in veggie dept at grocer. It will save you from having to deep clean the camera. LOL Im loving the different sign offs! Great job!
I live in an historic district of 150 year old brick 1 1/2 story cottages. Many of them have back porch additions that have been converted to kitchens or bedrooms. More than a few are supported by jack posts. One was supported by car jacks!
Thanks again guys, glad that you decided to put those supports under the house, I know that I would feel much safer with the extra support. It's good to see you happy and healthy, we are all enjoying our UA-camrs channels since we are not out and about as much. I work in a grocery store so I have witnessed first hand the crazy and the hoarding of all the stupid people that have just blown things way out of proportion. Thanks again guys, sending love and hugs and I will see you soon, bye for now.
Have you heard of a basement liner? It's one huge piece of measured product that covers the floor, goes up the wall and you staple or fasten it to the wood that sits on the blocks. It keeps the dust down and moisture out. Allowing for extra storage space. Another job off your list. Yes!
You certainly support my fathers saying s of 1 - If a jobs worth doing , do it well. And 2 - If you want a job done properly , do it yourself . It’s satisfying to see you two doing perfect jobs , leaving nothing to chance . You are the sort of people that would build on stilts in an areas prone to floods . You take into account possibilities for disaster that many others would not bother about .
Endings are cute. Exit stage right... BTW IMO your videos are really well edited. Always satisfying, just not enough of them.📺 favorite part 7:40 Ashley, "did you hear a crack?" Hahaha.
Love the effects that you’re adding to your videos. Not that they’re necessary because your content by itself keeps me happy! Thanks for sharing. ❤️ from Texas!
Progress is progress no matter how small. It's still another foot forward. Thanx for the information. I don't need it myself but maybe someone in the future will and with your help I can help them.
Thank you for being a pleasant distraction from the ugly situation our world is currently in. It's nice to lose myself in your renovation if only for a few moments. Hope you are staying healthy. Love me some DIYfferent people 💛
I had to laugh when you said you didn’t have a small level and then looked at Ashley and so innocently said “I don’t“ and she laughed. Translation..... “shopping trip“… LOL. You guys are a hoot
Looking at the background of the entryway those colors are really beautiful I'm liking them more and more all the time that blue door just sets off those wall colors it's gorgeous back there
At least you can sit up in your crawl space. Bill Keller from Live Simple Live Free had a video the other day about changing some drainage pipe under their little house and he had to do it all laying on his belly.. I would be screaming from claustrophobia. My kids had a great uncle that actually dug a small basement under his little house and made a family room down there. They lived in Mishawaka IN (near the IN/MI state line and I think their ground was really sandy too.
😂That's me, at the end when you exited stage right. 👍👍 It's nice you have somethings on hand to do home projects. I'm home right now thinking if only I had some paint.😞
What a nice surprise to see a new video from you today. It’s been a crazy week and your videos are a nice distraction. Hoping you & your family are staying safe!
Oh my goodness!! I cried!! I have one grandson, 3 years old. My daughter made a cute card to tell me when she was pregnant, I cried!! I love your family even though I don't know you. God bless! All the best to you always!!
Thanks for the video. I’m sure somebody benefited from it! You say you don’t know if you needed to share this but don’t feel that way cuz all that you do helps more than you know and many people appreciate you and your wife for showing us your life’s progresses. Keep up the good work and thank you! Please stay safe!💕
I just love the way you are ending the videos now. So clever. LOL! Love watching you two, you seem to be so knowledgeable about everything. Keep up the great work.
Alright, that exit was probably the best one yet! Had me laughing! As for the jacks, I can only "Ahh, that feels much better". Glad you got that done. Hope you are all staying well and not needing any of the supplies the stores are sold out of right now. It's crazy here in California.
Two days in a row....thanks so much for sharing. Crawl space work is always the worst. I say that but I am just moral support whenever my husband goes down under. We only have crawl spaces where they added on to the original house and added plumbing. Never easy tasks. In any event the video is much appreciated.
Loved your exit. Now we can look forward to what creative ways you use in the future. Glad you took the time to support your home more. I always feel better when I work on something I don't look forward to especially when I can say DONE!!!!!!!!!!
I give you credit Doug, I hate crawlspace work. And always enjoy your videos and still praying for you and your family for safety, strength and progress from Florida.
Wow, I can imagine how that dust would irritate your throat, but your eyes also. A good thing to do to be proactive. That pesky snow, it doesn't last forever to hide the mess. lol Wow, you guys have some new moves! I guess this one is the electric slide? :D
I’m glad you did this. My in laws redid their double wide 20+ years ago and did not put support in the middle. Now as you walk down the hallway, you are thrown up against the left wall as it has” sunk” so much.
Torture going under there. Bravo for always going the distance. This video made me feel better about the fact that you chose to not add the full tile in kitchen where the cabinets will be. Who needs that extra weight!! (But I'd volunteer to at least paint the wood white lol, my OCD lives.) FWIW I hear SLEEP is important in helping the body in building resistance. Stay safe and rested.
yep, the metal brackets bent into the floor beams at my place when i replaced the rusted jack posts.....my dad put the other ones in 50 yrs ago and the metal plates were much thicker. i was just installing the new posts the way dad had them. thanks for the tip!
I was beginning to research this exact information for my own mobile home renovation plans; Perfect timing! I'm so much better at learning techniques like this by the ol' 'seeing and doing' method. Reading up on the subject doesn't process the information into my brain quite as well. Thank you (again) for sharing your renovation adventures with UA-cam! They have provided an invaluable resource to me, personally, with my own home renovation projects.
OK, now I'm just gonna be watching mostly to find out what fun exit you'll make at the end. HA! No, I always enjoy your whole video. Feels good to get those extra supports installed!
Being thorough in all the details ,even the small ones makes such a great difference in the finished product. All I see is quality, again as always GREAT JOB!
Doug, Ashley is just mesmerized by you. You have a great relationship. Love, love watching your videos. I miss seeing Belle & Maverick tho. Cute ending 👉 Stay healthy & happy 💙❤💜💚
Great idea to do it now - especially with all that beautiful tile. Would be awful if any of it cracked down the road. :) Is there anything you can't do? I doubt it!! Happy first day of Spring!!
I think it's a great job to put the additional supports down the middle. Nothing makes a moble home feel so cheap as the bounce in the floor when you walk through the house. Great job!
I had never even thought about the extra weight messing with the underside of the house until you talked about it. And you could try putting the camera in a ziplock and maybe cutting a small hole for the lens and tape around it. I like the new endings you have been trying
You have put so much time and effort into this......❤❤❤. I just cant wait to see it when it's all done!! Then you will be able to start on the outside. Hard to believe that you have been up there over a year. God Bless
Great project today. Better to take care of these things so that it never becomes a problem in the future. Thanks for setting an example of taking care of what God has given us. It’s so easy to procrastinate until it becomes a problem. Enjoy your video as always!
Your home is turning out so beautifully, you would never know that this was originally a double wide mobile home. The work you both do is so amazing, you have so much to be proud of. I bet your neighbors are delighted that your property is being cleaned up and taken care of as well. I so much look forward to your videos and the progress you are making each day. Keep up the good work you two👏❤
Hahahahhaa the slide away 😂🤪. Seriously though, you're doing such an amazing job with your renovation! Doing things right and not cutting corners... You're proud of your work and that's something I can appreciate 🤗
Thank you...Two days in a row for a video...It is so good to see you ...
Exit stage left! Haha! Nice job guys.
When you were talking about tightening the jacks I kept expecting you to say "and thats when the tile cracked" Glad that never happened! Love how you go the second mile to do things right!
Very good idea putting supports in before you have any problems. You are really doing a great job of thinking your projects through.
You guys are great. Doug quit sounding so unsure if yourself because you did everything right. Dont worry about what others say.
We appreciate that
We've lived in several OLD houses, and those jacks have been life-savers!! And they're reliable and solid.
Doug you are one fine teacher
I live in an historic district of 150 year old brick 1 1/2 story cottages. Many of them have back porch additions that have been converted to kitchens or bedrooms. More than a few are supported by jack posts. One was supported by car jacks!
Nice!! Three days this week!! I know I need the distraction 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lol! I love your new “exit”😂. I love watching y’all! God Bless everyone!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Thanks again guys, glad that you decided to put those supports under the house, I know that I would feel much safer with the extra support. a three foot long pipe wrench really makes short work of tightening those supports down. good video.
100% agree! Preventative maintenance is the best way to go!
Now it will be something you need not worry about.
😂😂 cool exit!
Have you heard of a basement liner? It's one huge piece of measured product that covers the floor, goes up the wall and you staple or fasten it to the wood that sits on the blocks. It keeps the dust down and moisture out. Allowing for extra storage space. Another job off your list. Yes!
Yep, we have plans of laying down thick plastic sheeting :)
Germany/Stuttgart is watching too 👋👋

Your exit made me laugh out loud.
You are so precise with detail when you do a project.
Loved your ending😂😂😂.....great job 👍🏽
Love the effects that you’re adding to your videos. Not that they’re necessary because your content by itself keeps me happy! Thanks for sharing. ❤️ from Texas!
Your editing lately has been cracking me up 😆
We're glad you like it :)
I've always loved your exit strategies. But this one made me laugh out loud.
That ending made me LOL. I needed that today.
ha ha ha me too
I think it’s an excellent idea and perfect for sharing because someone else might not have an idea how to do it... so once again great idea
Progress is progress no matter how small. It's still another foot forward. Thanx for the information. I don't need it myself but maybe someone in the future will and with your help I can help them.

Your videos are a highlight of my senior quarantine mornings-thanks.
God Bless you and your subscribers-Stay Safe !!
Thank you :)
Loved the EXIT STAGE LEFT !😂😂😂😂😂❤
Good job installing them. Dusty is still a lot nicer to work in than wet and muddy!
Yea, that's true! Provided you at least have a mask on!
Your ending was so cute! Made me smile
Thanks, We are happy to hear that.
I had to laugh when you said you didn’t have a small level and then looked at Ashley and so innocently said “I don’t“ and she laughed. Translation..... “shopping trip“… LOL. You guys are a hoot
haha, every time I walk by the tools I say "I need a small level like that" ;)
Nice surprise kids! Good idea to brace those floors, better safe than sorry.. Grammy sends BIG Hugs! XOXO Ashley I love your smile!
Better to be safe than sorry! You do such a thorough job at anything you tackle!
Love this "bye"! You're getting so creative with them! 👋😂♥️
Looking at the background of the entryway those colors are really beautiful I'm liking them more and more all the time that blue door just sets off those wall colors it's gorgeous back there
Stay well, my friends!

Climbing under the house is such an unpleasant task. You are a good person for getting around to it!
Now you can have a dance party and the floors will hold !!! 😄
😂That's me, at the end when you exited stage right. 👍👍 It's nice you have somethings on hand to do home projects. I'm home right now thinking if only I had some paint.😞
I wish I had some extra supplies on hand too :)
I love the creative endings. I had a giggle at the one today. Great video. You make everything sound so interesting.
Good job! I'll bet you feel better now! Can't wait for kitchen cabinets! Exciting!
Your endings are always so cute!

I so enjoy your videos. You two plus two make an awesome family. The way you live is an example for all of us. May God bless and keep you!
Thank you
God bless your family during this time period stay safe
the outro shots are getting more and more creative!
Beam me up, Scotty!!! Lol. Good job done. Better safe than sorry.

Glad you did this, it will pay off in the long run and take the pressure off the frame in those areas carrying the weight.
You 2 are adorable and Doug thank you for putting your health at risk to support your home and to give us a great video
Loved your exit. Now we can look forward to what creative ways you use in the future. Glad you took the time to support your home more. I always feel better when I work on something I don't look forward to especially when I can say DONE!!!!!!!!!!

Great work. Your not leaving anything undone. Ya’ll are just very smart and good instructors.
Always enjoy the way you end your videos
I give you credit Doug, I hate crawlspace work. And always enjoy your videos and still praying for you and your family for safety, strength and progress from Florida.

A slide off at the end! Love the endings! 😊
Glad you enjoy them :D

Holy blue screen Batman. Cool exit.

Love how you slid off to one side at the end.
Lol. Loving the silly exits.
That one was a Snagglepuss
“Exit, stage left.”

Good to see you taking care of the guts, not just the cosmetics!

Great project today. Better to take care of these things so that it never becomes a problem in the future. Thanks for setting an example of taking care of what God has given us. It’s so easy to procrastinate until it becomes a problem. Enjoy your video as always!
Here in Texas it rain a lot so I already know we r going to need a lot of support n thanks for showing this helps so thanks
Glad you went ahead and installed the jacks. The blue door looks very sharp in the background. 👍
You are so resourceful. This channel is always informative, inspiring, and entertaining. I'm a fan.
Thanks :)
