I swear you're in my head sometimes, I've been thinking of getting these monitors. But I'm having a hard time giving up my JBL 305's. I love them. Guess I have to pair of monitors. 🤔
If you enjoy your JBL 305's, know them pretty well and that your mixes translate well. I wouldn't recommend to replace them yet. Unless you want to upgrade, get a different sound or getting a second pair of monitors. On my side, I do work with 2 pairs of monitors and headphones to get more than one perspective. So maybe these could be a good fit to add to your setup, and they will not break your bank account :-)
I bought a pair of t8v's last week. Before i had a sub with my krk 5" monitors. All i can say now is that i won't need a sub with the t8v! I produce hard electronic music (Hardcore/uptempo) and it's really amazing and exactly as you say, they go loooow! My opinion about theese after 1 week? Totally badass monitors for that price! :)
Great review video as always! And thanks for pointing out the diffferences to the Kali Audio monitors. But if you had choose one of them, which one wouyld it be? :-)
Lol! That depends, I would go for the Adam T8v if money was an issue, hard to find something better at this price range. If someone has more budget, combining the Kali IN-8 with a sub is a killer system, I would miss the nice smooth top end of the T8v's though but will get a more focused Mid-Range in return.

Nice review. You got a lot of rumble on your mic though... thanks for the comparison to the Kali. I feel the Alesis M1 had a bit more bass (not low bass though) due to the 2 ports at the front - but maybe they were just out of control. I think if you want to "feel" the bass on the Kali, you gotta turn them up - and they sound a-maz-ing. Reference Peter Gabriel with them and they really make you feel stuff. But they are also brutally honest about the mids. I think for us small studios it's a matter of getting used to and learning to like what you work with. And if you don't like it, get rid of them and get a different pair ;)
I have the T7V for almost 2 years the only thing I don't like is the "hizz" coming from the tweeters. It's very very subtle, but I hear it. And it's not coming from my interface or cables, I've tested without the cables, so only the speaker turned on. Probably comes from power amp section, but it's annoying. How was it with the T8Vs? Cheers

Hey, I see you have the Kali audio IN 8 v2. I also have them and love them but I discovered a small issue with my monitors. I get a strange small audible feedback from the woofer itself when soloing deep bass, the sound is almost like a rhythmic vinyl crackle that plays along with the source material. On my monitors it’s not really audible until you hold your ear up Against the woofer. It’s only present on a sustained bass note or say a deep 808 bass drum that has a long decay. It’s a bit strange and I’m trying to figure out what’s causing the noise. Is it possible for you to check if this noise is present on your monitors? It’s not a huge issue but it’s definitely something to point out. Let me know if you hear the same sound I described id highly appreciate it. Trying to figure out if this happens on all the Kali audio in 8 v2s or if it’s just something that went wrong with mine which I doubt because I take care of them. I’ve had them for about two months now. Love them aside from this small issue. Check to see if yours make this noise and let me know!
