Måns not being included in Eurovision 2024 was weird because he always appears and the competition was held in his country. And now he's joining Melfest 2025?
He said that he made a conscious choice to not be in Malmö at eurovision 2024, partly because people were tired of seeing him so much in eurovision contexts.
The people was tired to saw him every year, last year only appeared in a spot of Norway Melody Grand Prix. He was rejected in 2024 because Sweden was host and Sweden is Sweden, they need Måns's song to win in the future
I dont want him to win BUT i canr wait to hear the song and the performance its gonna be 100% amazing as always and to the bitter fans please STOP MOANING! Sweden is a POP country and we love pop we dont need anything "out of the box" always, only because its unusual doesnt mean its good, "basic pop" which this is not at all since its high quality pop, can be sometimes way better than some freak show
MelFest he'll win easily (just like it was with Loreen, just being there is an instant win for him)... in ESC top3 I think is guaranteed and just like Loreen is very popular in ESC community Mans will have similar support... i even think he'll win, unless another country sends something so amazing, that even Mans has to bow for it... P.S. Mans was the first Swede to win ESC after Loreen and now he's very likely to repeat it...
Being an old Eurovision winner doesn't automatically mean that you will easily do well in Melodifestivalen. Former Eurovision winners like: Elizabeth Andreassen made it to the final in 2002, and came 3rd, but was far from a win. Helena Paparitzou, made it through to the final, via Andra chansen, and got 4th place in 2014. Katrina (from Katrina and the Waves), was eliminated in Andra chansen in 2005 Carola failed to even get to the Melodifestivalen final in 2008. Charlotte Perelli failed to reach the Melodifestivalen final in 2012 and 2017, made it in 2021, but ended up on 8th place and even Loreen failed to get to the Melodifestivalen final in 2017. So I don't think it will be easy at all, it's more common that former Eurovision winners fail in Melodifestivalen, than it is for them to succeed again.

I mean yes she did try in 2017 and failed, but back then it was a bit different... the song wasn't like super convincing and the staging was not impressive at all (for Sweden staging is everything), so to me it wasn't much of a surprise... also the media weren't advertising her as much as it happens in recent years with popular returnees... but despite that large group of people were not happy that she didn't win (because she's the Queen of ESC and how dare people not vote for her)... and also at that point not too many big name returning winners had run for 2nd time, so participating again as a previous winner was more of a taboo back then than it is in last few years, when many previous winners attempt to go again, especially in Sweden... But obvs you can disagree with me if you want. I'm not trying to force you to believe what I believe will happen. In fact, I will be happy if I'm wrong about Mans taking an easy W here...
History from 2023 repeat I think he win easy like Loreen with tattoo. And the drama start all over again at that point like oh no he didn't deserve it that other country deserved to win with a song thats like cha cha cha or rim tim tagi dim. If he really wins eurovision 2025 we have 3 winners who won twice where 2 are from Sweden. I am not mad I am not complaining this are just my thoughts, but I would love to see a country winning who never won.

But he public are getting bored with the Swedish pop, Loreen won esc but she didn't get a single 1st in any countries televote... she was carried by juries. I can't see the public motivation to vote for Sweden when the juries do far too much heavy lifting for them.
Loreen would be first in all countries if not for Käärijä being there as the favorite. Only because Käärijä was the most loved one everyone gave him the nr 1 votes with the public, however Loreen was definitly the second favorite among the public voters not just jury and even if she won without being first in any country still getting very high results in every countries public voting. The numbers of people liking her song outside of ESC shows more about the songs success than that of ESC. People listen more to her song than they watch her ESC performance. Blame SVT not the artists and swedish voters, the pop centered music is all SVTs fault.
Well, it's hardly Sweden's fault what the juries from _your_ countries vote for, so if you want to blame someone blame your own juries, not Sweden. It wasn't like Loreen did bad in the televote, she did great, only one guy did better, so it's not like people don't televote for Sweden. "Tattoo" being the second most played Eurovision winner ever (after Arcade) speaks for itself. Sweden is, together with Italy and Ukraine, the countries who has done the best in the televote for the last decade or so, but some people tend to keep pretending that Sweden only does well in the jury vote, when the truth is that Sweden has done better than most countries in the televote as well.
