I cannot commend you both enough for your self control in the face of adversity. No doubt your internal feelings are probably far stronger but you conduct yourselves in a calm, dignified way. Most of us would flip out. I know I would. 🤗❤
I would have them pay for everything.i would go back to the airstream.I wouldn't trust the van.The money you spent to buy it.Stay safe .🙏I remember from one of your videos you guys stated airstream was small you then want smaller.Poor Lauren.Another problem damage 😢😢hang in there
I don't know how you both haven't just lost it with everything you have gone through with this van. I really hope they get everything checked and double checked so you can finally use this van to enjoy traveling. I hope for only good things to come for you three and that you will enjoy your travels!
This is ridiculous I know someone weeks ago said once you buy them no matter what you are on your own….. that is total bs for $300,000 van . I wouldn’t want that van back , mold from the water damage & that whole electrically system is questionable to ever be trustworthy. There would be no Disney left for me ….this whole fiasco is unexcuseable for a $300,000 purchase . I don’t believe it was the tow truck…. Because there is no way someone drove that with the drawers were on the floor and heard no noise to draw their attention. That vehicle is unsafe especially with baby on board
Other folks have put 300,000 miles on Sprinters and driven them to the Arctic Ocean - twice. It's like any other vehicle - some are great, some have problems.
@CraigPeer agreed 💯 There isn’t a vehicle manufacturer on the planet that hasn’t produced a dud. This just seems to be bad luck for all parties involved.
I am amazed how positive you all are. I would be crying. I couldnt afford to spend all the nights you have in a hotel. Of course, Daniel, you had new 300,000 vehicles to love on and make you smile.
Yeah, that is the problem with vans. We had a 28 ft class C and it was great, except it was limited where it could go due to size, when the vehicle needed service, tires, broke down etc, we had no bed , no transportation, and no place to stay. We did stay in some great spots, and it was neat to fire up the gen and use the microwave or go to the bathroom while on the road, but overall it was a hassle. Now in a TT and the TV allows us much more mobility and flexibility.
Talon Sei, was stranded on the side of the road on a Colorado Mountain pass, and could have easily been killed, by passing traffic. I would never own a Mercedes Van after his and your experience.
Have you checked to see if they had sent you a message to let you know that they had a software patch or update or upgrade for the van because on our car Lexus sends us letters to bring the car in for it Also the warranty and insurance should cover the tow and repair
Lauren, girl, I know you were cash money hot when you saw the state inside of your van. And D you are correct someone needs to own up to whom ever caused the damages. In all guys, I am happy that you are with Vinny & Ivan getting the needed hail damage repair started. 👋🏽 baby Dash!
Wow. So many issues. Watching your video, we noticed one of the cabinets wasnt latched as you were driving. Looks like you caught this in the next scene. Some of our more expensive mistakes rving were a result of rushing through our checklist and not double checking each other. "Thank you for reminding me" has become a phrase of endearment rather than a snipe!
We empathize with you. We bought our 2023 Airstream Atlas with E1 package on August 10 from WeAreAirstream Chandler. We could not drive it as the brake lights were not working. We had to leave the van there but they couldn’t diagnose the problem so they sent it to Mercedes Gilbert and they said there was nothing wrong. I had it sent to Kate Guerrero at Airstream Phoenix who found problem (miswired at Jackson Center) - she fixed the problem in 48 hours and we finally got our van on August 25 - 2 weeks after the sale.
Wow, I would have flipped a desk or two at the dealer!! Take a chill pill, and never let adversity slow you down!! 😂😂😂 funny lol, do as I say not as I do!! 😂😂😂
We are headed to Vinnies in October for hail repair too. Thank you for the coffee and lunch recommendations in the area. So so sorry for the insanity you are living. It’s temporary, and the vanlife you want is just around the corner. Hang in there, the Disney crack will heal. ❤
Damage happened to our houseboat when we had it shipped from Illinois to Louisiana. We purchased it and went home to wait. They took off the flying bridge and all the rails and crammed them inside. Taped up all the light fixtures and anything else they could find with packing tape. The shippers wanted to leave so we had to sign off on the delivery before we had time to inspect the boat. They were gone before we got it in the water. So much damage, YET no one did anything. We had so much damage to repair. I feel your pain. When we purchased our Airstream, there were some things they were supposed to take care of and didn't. That was frustrating as well. No one again.
We had Camping World fix one of our trailers and we had broken dishes and sawdust in all of the floor vents. Was so mad as it took me 3 hours to clean it up. We know that it was not done in transit with us. How does broken dishes I. The bathroom floor vents. We believe they took it over a curb and thought they cleaned up their mess. So sad to see service so poor and disregard for people’s property. We ended up trading in that camper. Praying all ends well!
When I saw the tow truck “family photo” I said that the tow truck was too small (somehow my comment was erased?) and once you over load things they become more violent going down the road. It’s obvious that those drawers are under a lot of stress, and the tracks are not strong enough. With that said this Mercedes dealership should’ve noted the damage during their test drive. The software update was not the cause of that vehicle dying in the campground and not being able to be started jumpstarted or anything else. They need to figure out what caused the van not to start before putting you guys in it and driving down the road in my opinion. Again, you’re lucky that isn’t my van… I would make Airstream and Mercedes my new hobby. 🤬 I truly hope you guys get into (or back into) something that allows you to enjoy life on the road! Take care, Bill and Livvi ❤️
Love you both! We agree with you. It’s definitely couldn’t have just been a software thing. 🤦🏻♂️ They also mentioned a possible power draw somewhere but couldn’t pinpoint it and just said to have Airstream look at it ie: not our problem. Ugh…and so the saga continues.
It sounds like the tow truck and the dealership is trying to rip you off . The tow truck driver should have checked it before the he towed and the dealership should
the dealership should have checked it before working on it and see n it Everytime I have work done on my car they not only done the work but checked out everything else on the car
Praying for you guys did you guys get answers to get all of this fixed and I would make him pay for everything. You guys have had nothing but problems since you’ve had the van and I hope they get it fixed for y’all. You are in my home town.
I believe I would go through the Airstream corporate office and demand a refund. I'm sure there is a better option for your family. I wouldn't feel safe in your current van. (First time commenting, but have been following) ❤️
My hat is off to you both for appearing so zen over broken drawers and a gouged floor, not to mention the nightmare you have been through that Mercedes seems to have "fixed" with a mere software update. I would not be anywhere in the same zipcode with zen if I had spent so much on a van just 60 days ago, only to have had mechanical problems more days than not. We have a 2014 Airstream travel trailer and are so grateful that it has fewer computerized components-less stuff to tear up. Anything that rolls down the highway is going to have problems, but something that costs > $300K should not be giving the owners so much poor service. Have you considered going back to your travel trailer and selling this lemon-esque vehicle? Cut your losses and move on with your lives. Life is too short to be living this nightmare.
OMG .. how you both have not totally lost it the icing on the van .. no one owing up to more damage with drawers and floor. Both of u have more faith than I would with taking off in the $300,000 van that has had issues from the start. Airstream needs to give u new one. Plus all the added expense incurred with hotels/meals/airlines .. on a totally different note love Daniel’s man bun … almost time for Dash to have mini man bun. Enjoy your channel have watched since day one..
Your van is so heavy, there is bound to be a heavy & violent sway when towed. I would purchase Blue painters tape and mask all the drawer fronts & doors shut in the future with multible layers. Or if it is allowed, have someone sit in the camper to monitor whats happening. I still would still tape everything shut for the tow & use a fishing net to lock down heavy objects. Good luck
Hey folks. Don't blame you for being frustrated. One of these days, hopefully sooner rather than later, all of your good deeds are going to pay off because you are wonderful people. Hang in there. You've got a lot of people who adore you.
I’m so sorry you guys are going through all this. You have really been troopers and have shown more patience than most. We had had the 2021 Interstate 19 for almost two years. We only weekend warrior and vacation in ours but it is so much simpler and tons more storage. I’m hoping things start looking up with Van Life.
sorry to hear about your problems. I have a 2022 airstream interstate GT with 50,000 miles on it and luckily the mercedes chassis is trouble free, however the drawers would slide out and break the tracks that hold them. Since the dealer is three hours away I repaired the tracks myself adding additional screws from metal track into the wooden drawer bottom. The hardware (tracks) on these drawers are very poor quality. My other problem is I can only use half the water tank capacity, when level gets to half the pump sucks air and cavitates. I'll be back home in three weeks and will look into this probably have to lower the intake pipe inside the water tank.....always something even with an airstream. Good luck
I really think once Dash gets older you guys should settle down somewhere with a house. you can always travel but having a home base would make life so much easier.
I think all of the bumps in the panels require new replacement parts and especially since they made the engine peppier and more responsive. There will be more hail storms.
And pray you don't stop Rv life because I really love watching you all and wish I could meet you all one day but we will see on that because iam in a wheelchair and can't walk and live in assisted living home but can leave anytime I want
U are too nice. I would of lost my S. thats when u go to a manager. As if they didnt check or see that mess after it was towed in. I call BS on that. I onow Lauren can hand;emit but Daniel imo thats when u get involved ….see manager time
I can promise the tow truck driver NEVER set foot in the back of that van. what a scumbag dealership, even by dealership standards. they didn't even find a cause. just restarted the electronics and called it good... until this happens again.
Watched this video for the Sprinter info... Unfortunately didn't get much on that. So, looks like you guys forgot to lock all the drawers/cabinets before you had the van towed. You're literally driving down the road with your cabinet unlocked while filming the video talking about who's going to pay for the damage. Hmmm? 🤔🤪 Also your drawers aren't broken, with the soft close type, the rails are stiff on purpose. To put the drawer back in, you pull out the metal rail, sit the drawers on top and push back in. There are a ton of you tube videos that explain it. You will hear a click when it locks back in. Lastly, a reminder, the great thing about the van is the versatility to simply drive anywhere, like to a gas station and get to covered parking. Just have to pay attention to "severe weather" alerts and watch the radar.... Or, I guess have to go thru the hassle of getting it fixed. This has caused us to get up and move at 2am if we have to and seek cover rather than be out of our home. Sometimes we have to change our plans completely. Looking at weather apps throughout the day, everyday is key to this lifestyle. During the summer we always know where our closest cover is, everytime we get to a new location. But you guys aren't newbies anymore, right? Drama drama drama. Expensive ways to get likes and subs.
I would hurry and check into the Lemon laws. I would also have them pay for everything. You guys are handling this well. I still would see how you can get rid of it. Good luck guys.
My learning lesson from your whole experience is to somehow figure out how to be as calm and good natured you guys have been over this. In other news... my 64-year-old cousin bought himself a G-Wagon and I said, "Oh, you're having another midlife crisis, yeah?" XD Ok, that said... I think zen and unsnarky is not something I can aspire to be hahahahha
We still have the trailer. It’s getting some minor warranty work done in Tampa. Overall, we’ve had few to no issues whatsoever with the trailer. It’s been fantastic!
I am Mad for you guys 😡, my Hispanic self wants to go scream at them for you!!!! That is unacceptable. I know it’s hard, But don’t let all of this make you not want to keep camping. ❤
Man....nothing like seeing a bunch of Sprinter Vans at the service center. If I had the bucks to buy a motorhome it would not have anything to do with Mercedes on it....for sure. Towing and damage to your floor and cabinet....man getting someone to own that problem is going to be tough. A smart towing service would have taped the drawers knowing the vehicle is going to sway back and forth on the trailer. The active word here is "smart". What is really worrying me is this van is 60 days old and all this has gone on. How much pain are two people expected to take? You guys should go to work for Consumers Reports and do nothing but rate RV's for them. You can began with this one and count down to the best that you have tested. I'm just having fun with you I really understand what it is like to get your hopes up and have them "dashed" by so many problems. I hope that is not how Dash got his name...just kidding. He is a cool little guy! You know the old saying " you think you've got problems until you see someone else with twice as many". On a happier....somewhat....note I still think about you guys in the trailer stuck in that Texas hard freeze I think in Galveston, Texas. I remember Daniel standing behind you in the trailer and you could see the frost coming from his breath inside the trailer. I'm telling you no one could write a funnier script than you guys working through that freeze. Just love it. Stay safe...Fred in Texas.
Right, Fred! That Texas freeze stuff was insane. We literally couldn’t script this stuff that’s happens to us. And, we’d love to battle test some RVs. I’d bet the manufacturers would learn a lot. We’d imagine they test these things under perfect conditions and not in the real world.
I cannot commend you both enough for your self control in the face of adversity. No doubt your internal feelings are probably far stronger but you conduct yourselves in a calm, dignified way. Most of us would flip out. I know I would. 🤗❤
🥰 Thank you! We do our best.
Our Airstream drawers broke just like that! OY!
They didn't notice the drawers?? And the damage on the floor??? Oh, that would fry my cakes and would definitely bring out my inner New Yorker.
Right?! 😡
I would have them pay for everything.i would go back to the airstream.I wouldn't trust the van.The money you spent to buy it.Stay safe .🙏I remember from one of your videos you guys stated airstream was small you then want smaller.Poor Lauren.Another problem damage 😢😢hang in there

To find it like that is outrageous.
I am praying you guys get a break soon - you are doing great dealing with all these set-backs.
Have you checked to see if they had sent you a message to let you know that they had a software patch or update or upgrade for the van because on our car Lexus sends us letters to bring the car in for it
Also the warranty and insurance should cover the tow and repair
No notifications sent to us. 😞
Sorry guys, it can be frustrating but you three got this, on to watch your next adventure
Thanks!
🥰 You are absolutely amazing!!!!! This made our day and we genuinely appreciate it. ❤️ Lauren, Daniel and Dash.
Girl I would’ve lost my …… I don’t know how you guys stay so calm you guys are amazing🎉🎉🎉🎉
The dealership needs to pay for all of it!!
😔 We’re STILL trying to figure it all out. 🤦🏻♂️
The dealership should have documented damage if it was there. It probably was not how do you not look back there.?
I have watched too many videos now about the Airstream/Merc chassis to buy one.

WOW, I bet a Gresch is looking pretty good right now!
Your lovely family has been in my thoughts and prayers. Continue to move forward with perseverance, strength and most of peace.
Sorry you are going though all this crap! Vinnie's is top-notch, your van is in great hands. Stay safe.
My prayers for you and your Family’s perseverance and safety!
Think go after tow company as dealership is saying not them.
I would be so done if it were me. Praying that you make good decisions and praying for both Ivan and Vinnie!!
Hope you and your families are safe from the weather.
I pray you get everything figured out and can start enjoying your life seeing different places
Oh what a summer! Sure wasn't what you had planned! Praying all gets sorted out and your confident with the fix.
Yes! We should have followed the tow truck, in retrospect that tow truck was also undersized. 🤦🏻♀️

At least Vinnie can fix the drawers and maybe figure out best way to deal with the floor. Wishing you guys some piece in the chaos very soon.
Thank you, friend! 🙏
Nice to see you close to Roseville hope your enjoying the area
Bless your hearts! I would be so tempted to ditch van life by now.
❤️❤️❤️
Iam so sorry I pray you get everything figured out
Thanks, Jim! We appreciate you friend.
I’m so sorry you guys are going through all this. You have really been troopers and have shown more patience than most. We had had the 2021 Interstate 19 for almost two years. A few little glitches but for the money there should be NONE! Went to have it fixed and wound up buying a Solis Pocket.
Good luck
Dash’s wiener dog shirt is the cutest! And thanks for the recommendation on The Mill. Take care!
I really think once Dash gets older you guys should settle down somewhere with a house. you can always travel but having a home base would make life so much easier.
And most of all peace.
We love this life, so we won’t stop anytime soon, friend! What state are you in?
U are too nice. I would of lost my S. thats when u go to a manager. As if they didnt check or see that mess after it was towed in. I call BS on that. I onow Lauren can hand;emit but Daniel imo thats when u get involved ….see manager time
U have way more patience then I would have .Still the water damage will show up down the road.
The dents should be covered by the insurance. New one dented replacement parts put on it.
Well dang, I thought we were going to get to see Lauren mad 😡 this week 😂
Seriously though, they rebooted the van? 😮
I can promise the tow truck driver NEVER set foot in the back of that van. what a scumbag dealership, even by dealership standards. they didn't even find a cause. just restarted the electronics and called it good... until this happens again.
I'd be returning the van. No one noticed? So sad what you have gone through.
Sometimes it’s for oil changes, 20k or 40k service
So close to 20k.
Right?! 😬 We are SO CLOSE!!!!!!!
I think I'd want a new van or my old airstream. it's such a shame to have paid so much for it and all the problems.
I would be so done! This is ridiculous. They are going to blame each other and give you the run around.
Train for your run. ✌️🤞
Ugh, amen to that!
How is your family doing with the storm in Florida?
We were fortunate to be in Tennessee during the storm. Thanks for checking in on us, friend!
The rest of our family did ok down there. Not too much damage. Just minor stuff.
That is good to hear I have a niece in Tampa she did okay with the storm
Watched this video for the Sprinter info... Unfortunately didn't get much on that. So, looks like you guys forgot to lock all the drawers/cabinets before you had the van towed. You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried. So sorry you are having all these issues!
Right?! We finally think we hit our breaking point with the van. Ugh…
I would take that piece of crap back to your Airstream dealer and get your money back….
And you have told them about the gallons of water that flooded the back where the wires are
💯 It’ll be interesting to see how this all shakes out.
Should have bought a Ford Transit van
Hey Vinny!!!!!
Is this how they have left it, what a disgrace. Are the draws broken, I cannot believe what you’ve gone through with this vehicle.
I would hurry and check into the Lemon laws. I would also have them pay for everything. You guys are handling this well. I still would see how you can get rid of it. Good luck guys.
What an advertisement for Airstream and Mercedes, and there after sales service is a real damp squib, dreadful.
I’m thinking van life is not for you guys! Better get back to a towable.
Should of kept the trailer!🤷
After 5000 miles, it has a bit more pick up, I use to have one
Ahh, good to know!
You should get RoamRig, you guys would love it
I don’t think I’m going for a sprinter van.
Vinny's is the best!!!
They truly are! He’s sincerely is a a great guy.
After all the problems you’re having I wouldn’t touch anything Mercedes with a ten foot pole!!
It looks like Chicken Pox!!!
🤣 So true!
My learning lesson from your whole experience is to somehow figure out how to be as calm and good natured you guys have been over this.
In other news... my 64-year-old cousin bought himself a G-Wagon and I said, "Oh, you're having another midlife crisis, yeah?" XD
Ok, that said... I think zen and unsnarky is not something I can aspire to be hahahahha
I can see where this is going….they know they made a mistake after the first week and apply blame on the van is their out….
Your concerned that you’re not the only airstream there , but its a dealership
I hate to see that you are having a SCAR time with this Airstream $300K van. 😢
I wouldn’t trust them. I’d be angry!
Did you sell your trailer? You realize you have been broken since Wyoming? Too much to deal with..
We still have the trailer. It’s getting some minor warranty work done in Tampa. Overall, we’ve had few to no issues whatsoever with the trailer. It’s been fantastic!
When u find out what all the issues were/are u need to do a video to tell us please
We promise we will! We’re still in the dark. It may be a while. 🤦🏻♂️
So Mercedes took delivery and didn't document the condition? Then it's on them.
Exactly!
I don't understand why the drawers came open???
We 💯 agree!!!
Oh nice it’s not like you guys are new to this???? Some body snooping around I would suspect……Hmmmm
Why was your view of your dash flinching while you were talking ?
Said it before. Grech Rv. This van is way too small.
So the problem was quite simple and all you have to do next times is to reset your car computer .
I am Mad for you guys 😡, my Hispanic self wants to go scream at them for you!!!!
That is unacceptable. I know it’s hard, But don’t let all of this make you not want to keep camping. ❤
😊👍🌹
🥰🙌
@@Wanderlocal OMG I love you guys can’t wait for the next video…who needs TV all the entertainment you need is on UA-cam 😂
