Hi beautiful folks listening to the Divine music, there was an occasion outside Adelaide Town Hall, (that's Australia) where I was waiting for a friend and we were going to listen to Ustad Ali Akhbar Khan (first time for me). They arrived, their instruments on the wide pavement. It was quiet, TOO Quiet. No one was there to receive them. waited for what seemed a long time, then my American friend turned up in his van, stepped out and literally swept op almost all the instruments in his two arms with a call out to me to me to pick up the remaining two. So in we went and in one feel swoop the instruments were on stage and the problem, insult was solve. We got front row seats free as a thankyou and that's how I came to hear him for the first time. His music goes very deep. I love it. So refined. What an honour for me.

It has been a blessing and unforgettable experience to remember my whole life long and I never listen to anyone else play sarod, besides him & his son and grandson! America had such a treasure living amongst their land, the King of Melody. Someday I may be fortunate to visit his grave in California and put heaps of flowers there. For now, I try to introduce his music to people. 🙏🏻🎶🙏🏻🎶🙏🏻🎶🙏🏻🎶🙏🏻
Ustad Ali Akbarkhan remained legend persionalities of the world inrespect of playing Sarod and it touches the heart and soul and mind at large. His jugalbandhi with Shri Ravishankar sitarist id unique in the sense of both as their presentation making the atmosphere with unparalel musicalback ground. Great info. Thanks. He has an amazing and unusual sound, more cosmic. Why is it so different, if it is? His playing, the instrument, which looks particularly gorgeous. I feel his sound of tanpura is much more present, and powerful, strident in a good way, whereas it can be 'lost' sometime in the background.

It is mesmerizing yaman rendered by one of the greatest Sarod maestro of the world. All parts of the Raga are played in awesome style, no word to express; really divine. Table maestro Zakirbhai' s accompaniment is superb, so sweet& excellent. It really can be classified as one of the best Yamans I have heard.

ustad Aliakbarkha has remained world best sarod badal and his redition of yaman rag having combination of komal as well as shruddh swar add to the beauty of this rag creating everlasting effect in mind of his litsners people still today remember for his contribution in classical music word my sincere tribute to him for his unforgetanle name
Aapni poribarer sodoshyo holeo bolbo,,,,,Siraj is completely useless. Nijer poribaar er baire ektu dekhun, onek bhalo young sarodiya peye jaaben. Debanjan for example is a light year ahead of Siraj. So is Alam Khan--absolutely brilliant !. Aar Khansaheb er sarod aami Siraj er jonmer aage theke sunchi. Khansaheb is khansaheb....the God of ICM.

This is Yaman Kalyan. The use of Re-Ga-Ma(shuddha)-Ga is too frequent. I cannot think of this as ShuddhaYaman.
