    I’m very impressed! Can’t believe you filmed yourself doing this, and also carried a water bottle. Best to have your hands free for something like this!

    Great travel review! Loved the "3 things we like about Maine" at the end, it was spot on. We love the same things about Maine from our visit there too.

    Just did this hike last week. It's an amazing, but very short hike. I did the full loop in about 40 minutes, taking a few stops for pictures along the way. The climbing area is only .2 miles long, but straight up. There are 2 areas with steep cliffs, but all of the walkways are at least 2 feet wide, so unless you walk right along the edge, you probably won't get the sense that you're going to fall.

    Congrats!! We were just in Acadia for a week, we didn’t get to this hike although I wanted to. I got a taste of the cliff climbing going up Penobscot though I think I’ll be alright. I’ve had what I thought was a fear of heights, I think now is a fear of ladders falling. Amazing place, we are definitely returning!

    Congratulations on conquering the Beehive, Jen! Of the trails I've hiked, the Beehive Trail is tied for scariest with Glacier's Highline Trail, which is easier but has a thousand foot long section of narrow ledge.

    Great job with the video guys, loved the drone footage. I gotta tell ya Jen I’m super impressed with your beehive hike and hanging onto to the camera while hanging on for dear life. I’ve watched many a hikers tackle that trail from sand beach parking lot and my telephoto lens with my camera safely attached to my tripod. Impressive and sad because my old legs could never make that hike. I stick to the ocean path and a beach chair at a favorite spot on the pink granite cliffs overlooking the clear slate blue ocean. I love Acadia like a favorite old blanket and good book. Happy travels through New Hampshire. Can’t go wrong visiting that state. Try the cog railway if you can. 👍✌🙏❤

    Jen, I have a safety suggestion from the Northwest and climbs in the Cascades. Keep some lightweight, waterproof hiking boots that are at least mid-height to go over and protect/support your ankle for climbs for stability to prevent a second ankle injury. It's super easy to hurt your ankle again (I've learned the hard way), but with the right footwear and protection you won't have to worry about and you'll climb confidently. Enjoyed seeing views from the east coast!! Very pretty!

    • @itsjenknowles
      @itsjenknowles  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the tip! I’ve been considering taking my hiking boots more but I find myself stumbling more when I’m wearing those because they are bulkier. But I’m definitely weighing the pros and cons cause I know they stabilize the ankle better.

    Congratulations Jen!! When I went to Maine in 1990 I had the blueberry pie for the first time and it was the best pie I’ve ever had also lol., The day I had to fly home I was running late, but just had to get another slice of blueberry pie before I left so I did lol.. but I almost missed my plane. My husband and I literally ran as fast as we could and they kept the door open for us thank God Lol 😂

      Hey Kendra! I think you can steam crabs any month, but the crabs aren’t very plentiful that time of year. Late summer and early fall is the best time to get crabs here!
