@@GentleHitVideo Thank you for your comment. The drama is about the past and not the present. However, the audience's comments are current. I appreciate their empathy, but not their antipathy. If most of the audience is women, then won't you think that they should be even more outraged by her inappropriate touching of the maid and the concubines and her beating of the doctors since she came from the present and supposedly was a man on the inside? I like to think that we women are better than that and know what an inappropriate behavior is. Violence is still violence and sexual harassment is still wrong regardless of who is perpetuating it and how it is being packaged. I am just so happy that women who are fighting for women's equality appreciate that what we want is equality for everyone and that we appreciate men who are trying to help us.

Se trata de una novela y estamos hablando de una novela china situada tiempos antiguos, fíjate quien tiene más toxicidad, las novelas chinas o las novelas latinoamericanas. I do not believe that in ancient history there ever was a crown prince who would admit that he did anything wrong and apologized to a woman for it. If there were, women would have a much easier life and would be bolder to take chances, instead of remained been suppressed for so long. Women had very little status back then and justifying oneself in public was a no no. Not to say ancient times, even at the time of the civil war in US, if a woman happened to be in Louisiana, she was considered her husband’s chattel and not considered a person. If she was in Henry the eighth’s time, she would have been beheaded for less. Her problem was that as a modern playboy, she did not understand the meaning of “when in Rome, do as the Romans do”. One should not attempt time travel unless one knows history. Perhaps that was why most science fiction stories about time travel were done by scientists or well-educated people. This story is refreshing because the crown prince/emperor was not afraid of but was intrigued by new things and the drama even boasted a powerful grand empress dowager.
No thanks. Can’t take a slap back. The only redeeming point is that the “princess” can relate from his experience. It lets him choose to let bygones be bygones.
ive watched this many times and already memorised all the episodes tho😂 yeah that green tea girl really is twofaced but this crown prince isnt a dumh guy he knows she is manipulative but because of his kind nature, he just plays along and for Peng, she really doesnt care eventho sometimes Crown Prince does anything to get her jealous in fact that thing come back to him as he is jealous when she is with his brother
This series is actually both very funny (so silly) and yet very serious. Please believe that the female lead DOES NOT take getting slapped without responding. Neither the male OR female lead treat each other very well, at first. The actions in these scenes have repercussions throughout the rest of the series that include political intrigue, treason, murder, which provides the fortunate viewers with drama, romance, and believe it or not... a heck of a lot of comedy.
After watching this drama more than a dozen times, I found that nothing could be taken at face value. For example, what was the reason for the ninth prince’s totally inappropriate gesture of holding Pong Pong’s hand? This was ancient times. At most he could do was to hold her wrist. He was using Pong Pong to provoke the crown prince. The crown prince and Jiang knew each other since childhood and the story was that the real Pong Pong used to bully jiang which played right into Jiang’s scheme of becoming close with the crown prince. At this point, Qi Sheng had already suspected Jiang’s motives ever since she tried to convince him that Pong pong was possessed by evil. The grandmother saw through Jiang’s motives also. Too bad it never occurred to Pong Pong that what she said about Jiang could also be said about the ninth prince until he colluded with the enemies.

There is a LOT of humor in the series because of the... time traveling playboy, stuck in a woman's body, in an emperor's harem, storyline. Plus the series has a lot of silly in it. A lot of seriousness too. It's a great series.

The series is actually really funny. But there has to be tension somewhere, and a big part of this series is that the main female character thinks her husband (the male lead who slapped her) is going to have her killed... so she's trying to have him killed too!!! They were married for political alliance purposes, so they've never even liked each other up to this point. it's only when they're trying to kill each other, that they actually fall in love! The series has comedy, drama, romance, time travel, internal identity issues, (a playboy from the future ends up in the body of a woman in a harem!), political intrigue, murder, treason...silly and serious, it's got it all! I hope you try watching a few other scenes, because it really is worth your time.
I hate the prince with that temper. Why would you slapped the princess when you do not have proof. Then you came to her chamber and bother her while she is sleeping pervert. He looks ugly and mean anyway. I hope the princess will not fall for him, he look mean and scary. The princess is beautiful.
To be fair, the female lead is plotting to have him killed... He is pretty open in showing his disdain, while she stabs him in the back. Neither one is very innocent at the start of the show. So she doesn't let him get away with slapping her. There is a lot of seriousness, but it is also an extremely funny show, Well worth watching.

The series is actually really funny. But there has to be tension somewhere, and a big part of this series is that the main female character thinks her husband (the male lead who slapped her) is going to have her killed... so she's trying to have him killed too!!! They were married for political alliance purposes, so they've never even liked each other up to this point. it's only when they're trying to kill each other, that they actually fall in love!
The series has comedy, drama, romance, time travel, internal identity issues, (a playboy from the future ends up in the body of a woman in a harem!), political intrigue, murder, treason...silly and serious, it's got it all!
I hope you try watching a few other scenes, because it really is worth your time.

To be fair, the female lead is plotting to have him killed... He is pretty open in showing his disdain, while she stabs him in the back. Neither one is very innocent at the start of the show. So she doesn't let him get away with slapping her.
