Thank you for this. I think I might try to find all these. Weird question though: what does fishing power (?) actually do? Like, the +40 fishing on the helm, how does that factor into fishing? I get that it's supposed to make fishing "easier" but how so? Does it have something to do with the line not breaking as fast? Fish struggling less? Being able to be pulled longer? I couldn't find an answer online (maybe because I don't know what that's actually called. Power? Effect?).
The only thing it does for fishing is giving the ability to fish in a higher tier biome. You can make a ranged set with the fishing set and a skill in the fishing tree to get high damage.
Somehow I'm only ever getting fish on my hook. Is there anything else I should do in order to increase the chance to not get a fish beside wearing 2 lucky rings and using glow bait?
@@FrozenHare Thanks. So is there an edge where one side is stone biome water and the other is dirt biome water? Or does the dirt biome water then take over the stone biome water?
@@MattSimon1 my personal experience with this I had a semi big lake right on the edge of the stone biome and dirt biome I could fish for dirt biome fish in one spot and literally 3 squares away I could fish for stone biome fish. both water type touch with no ground in between so I am guessing its due to map position than water type in that situation, and would explain why you cant pull stone biome water through the dirt biome unlike the other water types.
Say "with anglers" over and over again until you stop being so nasally and you dont say wif anymore. Its just bad habit. Take some mushrooms and change.

@@cenedrilbUild yep I have 3 of them! They seem to be fairly common. I got my first one very early in my sunken sea play-through.

a polished coral necklace can be good if your just fishing for the sole reason to get rare fish, it gives you a 12% boost
