The parrot's sounds, I would totally be looking for the birds making the noises, I love love birds. the drone footage is Epic!!
Bad ass spinnaker James!! Absolutely love it!! The edit was amazing on this one and loved the music choices!! Great work on replacing the transmission and I’m glad you got a new starter with all the starter trouble you had in the beginning on this boat! Stay safe out there!!
Hey thanks man. :) Appreciate that comment. Much love
Pirate spinnaker so cool
Ok yeah, the spin is badass for sure. Well done Precision Sails!
Excellent drone shots under way. Great to see gearbox swap. New sail and boat looks 👍
I love the spinnaker! Great video. Thanks for sharing the adventure.
I love so much your new spinakker !! ... 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Night Vision Monocular - Have you considered having one? They are very affordable now, a good Bushnell is less than $300us. Great for when you pull into an anchorage at night... A Thermal Monocular would be great in fog and other times, also in the $300us price range. Both would be nice to have when looking out for pirates. 🎉
Love that Spinnaker🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲⛵⚓⛵yea that thing is 💯💯💯badazz 🤙🤙🤙
Best sail ever. I love it!
Love the sail.
NEW SAIL IS 🔥🔥🔥
Groovy episode.
Hahaha, love that spinnaker.
I love the new sail. So cool
Well Done Precision Sails, that looks bloody amazing
Good episode James, you are the man! Great transmission job.
That was an amazing video. Very professional
Great video, well done on the transmission R&R. Love your videos
That's a beautiful sail.

amazing editing....mad skills
Looks so Badass. Love it
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Definitely sweet spinnaker
Oh yeah baby, i got excited when i saw yee old captains log come out, i thought we were going back to videos like you did in the atlantic last year ! That was such a fun format .
Anther good one guys thanks for sharing your adventures 🇨🇦⛵️🍻
Those duel follow shots !
😀👍👍👍❤ The Pirate Spinnaker will get many comments during this new year, I'm sure! Bye for now from Seattle, WA. (Northwest USA)
You are good with your ropes, in fact I found you because of your instructional video on making soft shackles. But check out the Yosemite tie off for securing bowlines. More secure and neater than 2 half hitches.
Epic bro, can't beat a peaceful pirate
Great editing of replacement, nice flow and cuts.
Thanks, Tim. :) That is all my editor, Ricardo. He's the man.
Aye Aye Captain 🏴☠
awesome adventure
I definitely love that 🏴☠️ I want one
I love the new Sail, hat’s off to Daryl @ Precision Sails, it’s probably the most awesome one I’ve ever seen! You’ll certainly be a lot easier to spot, especially in videos & I have a feeling you won’t be bothered with anyone trying to rob you if they think you might possibly be worse than them! 😂
Nice, how to make friends and influence people.😂
I love history! 🙏❤️🇺🇸⛵️👣🍍😊
NICE
I was LMAOL when I saw the sail raise, man... but James, you should'a asked 'em to make you a twelve cutlass-bladed four-by drone spar skull.
If I win the nine digits lottery, Precision Sails will be sending you a whole new sail package. Until then (likely forever) fly the colors proud.
B.Swift 😎🤙
Ahh... yeah. 4 x 4 is sixteen. Oops. Whatever.
B.Swift 😎
Okay... image this: skull center, crossed cutlass blades at center radial each quadrant.
Done. I shut up.
Hahaha. I get it. Love it. Well done, Bri!
New season of Black Sails! All-right, all-right, all-right! :¬) Webhead USA
Love the channel say I wonder if you could give some background on how you got your parts sent to you way out there in the middle of nowhere. Love the new Spinnaker Arrrrr
Ahhhhhhrrrrrrrr! ☠️😎
all cool. like. even when broke parts (
Your PIRATE-Sail: I think it's not funny because of what pirates do to harmless sailors is not nice. Some of them die
well done my friend, love the repairs and the spinnaker is great. Always good to see Richard and where did you get the wicked hat? Will trade oscillating tool for hat
Hahaha. I have a humungous head, Mike, not sure if it'll fit ya!
The dampener plate is not really like a clutch - its purpose is to dampen the uneven power of the individual cylinders firing, which it accomplishes with internal springs. Without it the rest of the powertrain (transmission, etc.) would be shaken apart in a very short time.
I just had to remove my transmission to be overhauled (worn thrust bearing, $$$), and replaced the dampener at the same time. I can’t believe how dirty yours was, yikes!
I am not in the market for a new spinnaker but I want one.
James, you should get an electric outboard for the dinghy, and maybe you can use it for emergencies if it's powerful enough. It'll be slow but consistent.
Ever considered installing an electric sail drive? You charge the batteries while it's windy, no need to plug in. You could keep the diesel as a generator.
I know a few people that have done that... The tech isn't there for the type of sailing I do. If I didn't have a crew, it was just Ana and I, and we had unlimited time to wait for wind, it may be viable.
Hey if it isn’t ok’ Jolly Roger , man that’s bad ass
Oh yeah James that is an awesome design. Not as baddass as James Wharram graphic on his sails though, and what it represents. Btw, I didn't miss the little throwaway comment you made about us kiwis. Yep the holders of Americas/NZ Cup, are always ready to help a fellow sailor. Btw James, my beer fridge is full again. Just saying. Love your channel mate. Keep the episodes coming. Take care.
Hey how secure could that prison be it didn’t have a roof?
I like it! Wait until you see what I am making... Every Pirate needs a Humidor to keep the pilfered stogies fresh... I am making one fit for a pirate :)
Where is your Deck Cannon?
RIP NAOMI TERLINI
Kiwi's are the best.
Black Beard spent a lot of time in New Orleans. Quite dmvool.
Mate you need to put lenses in your mirrored glasses. You'd look dignified with those as seeing glasses......😏
BAD to the BONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be careful around Japanese whaling boats, they’ll think you’re conspiring with the sea shepherd organisation 😅
Hey Dad How's it going??
Can you tell me what episode had the all the great info on Catamarans? It was with Plucky. You guys covered everything including all the BS boat builders try pulling.
Please. Thanks
I'm not sure which of these you're reffering to, but we did two episodes that were similar: ua-cam.com/video/LcZOKTmfvUY/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/mDlU5cD5Co0/v-deo.html
🤠👍
Lol goof ball
"...flaked out..."? C'mon James. That tow line looked like it was "bunched out" L oL
You got me on that one... definitely not satisfactory for the military. :)
I had to flake many a hawse on bunker barges. I was standby relief at night. When bored, would uncoil all the lines and flake. Perm crew loved me. Oh yeah, your description of making up a tow/bridle was great.
Best to ya and your flaquita Guapita. 😅
That's a bad axe design! Why is it offset?
Because of the size of the design, it needed to be stitched sail material, not just painted on; offsetting it made it easier to sew and made it straight when the boat was going downwind.
@@thelastpirate Make sure that you always set your spinnaker so that it faces forward because that looks best.

Your "dampener plate" is basically just a clutch , same as a car I've been changing those out for over 50 years . Just recently quit . Enough is enough
It's just the dampening part...no clutch part. It looks like a car clutch because car clutches integrate the dampening in the clutch. Small boat transmissions engage drive inside the transmission when you put in forward or reverse
