Okay my parents don’t have passports so I submitted my parents social security cards instead

You saved my life. I’m not only applying to Korean universities but I am also applying to a Korean-only department/major which made it so difficult to figure my way through stuff so this has helped me so much! I definitely will look back on this video in the future when I apply!

Hey tysm for this vid!🥺 I just graduated high school I’ve been wanting to go to college in Korea for a while now. For now I was going to just take some college classes then apply to Korea uni in the spring. I also want to major in international relations and linguistics!
I’m applying in March to Yonsei for communications. It’s really nerve wrecking just waiting to apply. Hopefully the fact that I’m not taking the SAT won’t be an issue. I’m unable to take it Bc if the covid situation in my area
Update: I got accepted into both Yonsei and Korea University and I will be going to KU!

This literally gave me hope!! I’d be the first to go to college and it would probably Korean college at that!!! Here’s my question, I know you said you don’t have to take Korean language classes if you’re doing an major taught in English, but what if you want to? What can I do for that?
See if your university have classes for that and scholarships as well.
The university she's in is doing them and they're set to start in September so I'm thinking of doing Korean language classes 1st then university next year so when I go south Korea, I already know some of the language

hi so yes there’s a possibility to get scholarships it really depends on the school and if you apply for the gov scholarship and receive it... personally I say apply in the fall for spring mainly because in kr that’s when their first semesters are normally, rather than fall but if you aren’t worried about your papers and such then once they upload the application guide maybe you can see if by the time you apply you’ll be able to send things in. honestly it’s much easier if you have your papers ready but they do give time afterwards to submit papers so it all depends on u :)
Hi! I am thinking of applying for the fall semester of 2021 since I graduate next year, should I just wait until I graduate to submit all my forms since I need my high school diploma? hi! applications are normally due in april if you’re planning to apply for fall so if you don’t have your diploma I think it’s better to apply in the fall for the spring semester just in case but it doesn’t hurt to try! :)

thank you for this vid 🥺 i have some questions ... do you think they would be a fan of upward trends ? like not doing so good the first two years of highschool and then doing really good the last two... and what if one of you have a single parent ? would you only send their passport ?
soo I actually had upward trends lowkey on my grades but at the same time idk what exactly it is they look at.. and for single parents what they do is ask for the passport and like proof of divorce

Hii! omg this video is so useful, i'm gonna apply for spring 2021, but i'll apply to more than one college just to have a better chance of getting in, and every college wants the original documents, which i can't obviously submit to every single school. This whole thing is STRESSFUL. Also i'm not even from an english speaking country and i have to translate everything... jeez.
Also, for SNU they ask for a study plan, i'm not sure if Korea university requires that too, but could you maybe do a video talking about how to make one? Not being from the US, they don't teach us that here, so i'm super confused about this whole thing. If you don't want to it's completely fine, thanks!

Hi, I am applying to KU and a couple of other universities for fall 2021. I think for the document part of the video you should clarify that you only send your apostilled/notarised high school diploma and transcripts as copies if you’re applying to more than one university and when you get into the university you send the official ones.

I graduated in 2020, and I'm kind of in a gap year in America right now. Finishing a short 6month medical assissant program, and what not. But, I'ma be honest, i didn't have the best time in high-school, I was kind of dumb, not gon' cap. I didn't apply myself due to extreme depression and procrastination LMAO, I understand they need my highschool transcript before I apply next year. But, is there anyway that they accept students that might not have the best grades/gpa? I've always wanted to go to a art school in Korea, dealing with sculptures, paintings, and other stuff.
How much would you recommend saving to go there without a scholarship but still live comfortably?
you can't get a student visa without having $20k and even those who did language programs who needed $10k even said you'll need more than that between tuition, housing, utilities, food, transportation, etc. so i'd say over $20k for sure without the scholarship.
I was also wondering if you already took college classes prior to applying to Korea uni ?

A parent here... and my son who is a Senior in HS and is thinking to apply to the SKY Uni and also Sogang U. He doesn’t speak a lick of Hangul so I am concern if he doesn’t take a degree that are taught in English.. so my question is if there is a Korean language course that are offered during the Freshman year to help them transition?

When should you apply to Korean schools for the fall?
It depends on the school I think. But I applied for Underwood in the early admission round for Fall 2021 and applications closed on November 19. If you do the regular rounds, I thinks it’s in March of 2021. But for a school like Yonsei, for example, their regular round for fall closed in November.

ummm i don’t think so? but I feel like it’s safer to do that major in your own country and take a semester or year abroad to take general classes and such just because law matters on the country you study it in but I don’t think they offer it.. you can check when the english application guide is up :)
