- In both the Lok sabha and Rajya sabha, the citizenship amendment bill 2019 was cleared recently. This bill creates new regulations regarding refugees and illegal immigrants, who will get their citizenship if they belong to certain religions. While other religions have been ignored in this bill. Additionally, this has been opposed in Assam and many other north eastern states because it puts their states under stress and threatens their indigenous and tribal people.

Those people should know that muslims already formed separate countries pakistan and bangladesh for themselves.
Sikhs, Hindus, Christain, buddhist, jain, and other minority religion didn't divide India and formed separate country.
So Now muslims are excluded from CAA.
But don't worry no one taking citizenship of Indian muslim, Indian muslim will remain Indian as long as they decide to leave India.

I loved that line...
The video misses out on several points. Some of the points that it has missed are listed below; 1.) The Act just provides citizenship to individuals from 3 countries belonging to 6 religion who were prosecuted on the basis of religion. 2.) It doesn't bar anyone from any other country practising any religion from getting citizenship in India, such people can still apply and get citizenship through old citizenship laws (This is the point which has been missed by everyone who assumes that the bill is against secularism). So if you say that Shias and Ahmadis from Pakistan will not be provided citizenship if they apply is not true 3.) The bill has set a cut off date of 31st December 2014. So anyone else (even the people from the 6 religious group mentioned in the act) have entered after or on 1st January 2015 will not be considered under the 2019 act.

The bill has not set a cut off date. It clearly mentions a 6 year criteria. Meaning in 2020, the “cut off” will become 2015.

1. The way you enunciated the thought experiment was bigoted in itself.
2. In the video, you stress on how increasing population can lead to burden on public infrastructure which is valid, but, then you scorn government for not giving preferential treatments to community which is more populous than the few included in bill... would you have supported the bill if they had been included as well (given the fact that it'd increase no of immigrants).

Firstly the NRC is an act which will give citizenship to all people irrespective of religion, provided they show government identity docs dating prior to 1971( bangla war) for north east India and 1951( Indian pak war )for rest of India. Good till now. Ok, now we know that majority people may not have the required government documentation which are 50 or 60 years old, meaning a person in his 20s must have a id card with photo of his grandfather showing he is an Indian resident. There should also be no difference in spelling as well. Now at that time only the rich had photos or even valid id cards. So example Lets assume me a Muslim and another a hindu both don't have the required documentation, making both of us stateless, equality till now ok good. But Now comes CAA.
2. Hindus can use CAA path, which gives a hindu citizenship, but not to me because I am a Muslim as CAA excludes muslims. So now The RSS backed modi regime will send muslims to con-centration camps where the will not have any legal rights which is basically an open mega jail.Hindus are happy as they have CAA citizenship but muslims are stateless officially which will result in atrocities against muslims in the concentration camps.

I just want to say what I have understood after watching channels like these. It's not good to have one sided opinions. We should research ourselves before believing anyone. Remember people who have the power to influence can use it in a wrong way. Whether it's about CAA, Modi or anything else, it's better to hear facts from multiple sources. There are people who just work for money. So, it's imperative that we ourselves go through the primary source and form our opinion.

Let me clear it, "Shia" are muslims. In Pakistan, we "sunni" and "shia" get education together, sit together, eat together. I have many "shia" friends. They are not discriminated. Yes, there are some people full of hate and illiteracy ( which are found in every country) who (for their political or anti pakistan agenda) try to create "shia" "sunni" discrimination but on the whole there is nothing such thing that " shia muslims are in danger in Pakistan".
