When my dad was growing up, their garage was broken into and a bunch of motorcycles and tools were taken. The next weekend the thieves came back and stole everything else they couldn't get the week before. My grandfather was furious, so he put out a huge reward for information leading to the thieves. Someone ratted them out, and the police caught the thief with all of their stuff. He'd rattle canned the motorbikes a different color and was in the process of selling stuff. My grandpa got his stuff back, and the police arrested the guy. When it went to court, he was found guilty and got a choice of going to jail or going to Vietnam. He chose Vietnam. Not sure if he ever made it back from the war. I inherited a bunch of those stolen/recovered tools from my grandpa. Kept a handful of them in a toolbox in the back of my Bronco when I was a teenager. I have a friend who was involved in a red light runner hitting him and fleeing. Little did the guy know his front bumper and license plate had been ripped off and remained at the scene lmao. By the way, if I may, I'd highly suggest buying a dash cam. It'll cost you anywhere from $20 to several hundred dollars depending on the quality you want and so on. @@V_______ I slightly disagree on this. I work for the court system, every day we have people getting felony charges for anything over $1000. It blows my mind how many thieves there are amongst us from soccer moms to drug addicts
In a strange twist of fate, my Bronco was broken into and they took my stereo and some of those same tools. My dad literally caught the tweakers in the act, got their license plate number and the make/model of their car, and the cops still couldn't get my stuff back. Honestly FUCK THIEVES. They're the scum of humanity.
I love how you still remain positive, I would have lost my s*it.
Glad you found him man. Hope he gets what he deserves.
Indeed pegged in prison ;)
Why?
Westen: Well you could weld that for me
Officer: sir i'd have to charge u for that 😂
If your stuff was stolen on April 2...you won't find it for sale in a pawn shop for 25 days..
Some states there is a waiting period and you don't go in there to look you asked to see there purchase log see if they bought the stuff if they got the items on the log you look at them also you ask if anybody has been in there trying to sell these items they turn down probably 10 to 20 items a day
This. Sit and wait for things to cool off.
Or u sell immediately b4 cops get out. But not to pawn shops anymore with the data bases
@@jeremyhanna3852 aak to see a pawn shops log?? 😂😂 yeah ok.. So the laws are in the pawn shops favor.. If you pawn something and the broker thinks it may be "borrowed" they can simply record the serial number wrong... And not get into any trouble... You also need a court order or the sheriff's department with probable cause...
@Ada 7474 it doesn't go For sale immediately... By law they have to hold it for so many days...
Anxiously awaiting part two. I hate to wish jail time on anyone, but thieves are what those bars are made to hold in. I’m sorry you got your stuff taken and I hope you get it all back in working order, but I hope those scumbags get tossed in for a year each.
I love that cop. Glad to finally see a video with a good cop.
They're not hard to find. 99% of cops in any video are good cops.
“Well ya know I gotta Charge ya.”
Please put in a good word for that officer. Loved his sense of humor that was great
Looks like you filed a police report and then had to do all the investigation. It's like the line on Seinfeld after the burglary: "We'll let you know if we find anything." "Do you ever find anything?" "No."
Yeah cops are worthless when it comes to stolen goods. They most looking they do is going about the normal days routine and if the stolen goods happen to show up they act like they were hunting hard for it. I've helped myself more than cops ever have. I stopped calling them a LONG time ago
Weston, love the detective skills, I had a vehicle hit while parked, I found pieces of the car that hit me, ( tail light and a small corner of the car, I drove all over town looking and found the guy and made him go to insurance, it made my day!!! Lol
You can leave it in your car running 24/7 so if your car is parked and someone hits you and runs, it's all on camera, ideally with their license plates too.
@@iamnotafraid I had one. Car got the window knocked out; only thing taken was the $100 dash cam.
@@MrTruckerf That's just bad luck my friend
Your cop friend needs his own youtube channel. He is hilarious!

Hey brother I know the feeling. I am a professional tattoo artist from Long Island New York and been tattooing going on 10 years now and someone went and stole all my equipment from me even have the text them admitting to it. Now I need to try and build back up to get back to the shop and work again. Such a hard thing to go through when it comes to our livelihood and what me enjoy the most. Best of luck brother and love your content. 🇺🇸

awsome video westen yahhhhh glad you basiclly caught them awsome thumbs up and shared
A few led motion flood lights would really keep them away 🤣 on top of everything else!
Yes! the most effective for stopping them before they steal anything is using motion flood lights and getting an extremely loud siren.
One of these days he is going to be so pissed to find one of his buddies bought his stolen stuff.
No what bites is when your stuff gets stolen , and find out it's a family member your helping out. 😡🤬😡😠🤬
2 minute time mark. Cop, " I'd have to charge you..." I spit sprayed my computer screen with iced tea. Thanks WC and the cop for a the best laugh in weeks.
Don't worry lil welder, Welder Rescue Team is on the way! :.(
I think that event is the pivotal moment where you realise you should now get cctv installed
His laughter makes me feel amazing inside 🤣
The 3 thumbs down must be the culprits caught on video.
or the people who though there would actually be some justice in this video.
“Just some crackheads... you know how it is” 😂😂
This dude is the reason I love yt!
Got em!!! If you ain’t last, yer first!
Need to do some old-style Kansas or Oklahoma justice, lots of places to dispose of the remains, save the state some money.
That welding cop is so cool. Hahaha. But i have to charge you! Hahaha
I’m game, let’s take matters into our hands. Bait welding shop and shut the doors on them. They will only do 3 days in jail and be out doing Same shit
Might help them detox from their drug lifestyle.
If anyone breaks into my house their gonna see a laser dot, im going to ask them if anyone knows they are there. Pretty sure it’ll be a no, that’s their first, only, and last mistake.
i cant believe that detective didn't take the opportunity to say that he got those tools for a steal
“Local crackheads you know how it is” 😂😂
Bro,the next time you see strangers hanging around your shop at 4 AM,call the damn police. It’s their job they don’t mind.
