Yes, but you know, there are METAL bands and there are metal bands. Bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin and on and on, they have melody in their music, beautiful masterpieces, but if someone think metal is just bands like retarded Behemoth, Mayhem, Obituary, Cannibal Corspe, I'm not surprised people think it's just a noise. 70's and 80's classic heavy metal rules!

this video is so under appreciated! i listened to this cover way back in 2011 and after 10 years it still has so little likes...i could only imagine how wild vk went to pull this off, this girl deserves more credit for this! a queen on the keyboard doing justice to my most favourite song

Nice touch changing that note at 1:36 and 1:50 to a blue note. I really dug that part.

+psychobillypunk everything written with a good arrangement can sound great on any instrument, then it's all a matter of taste. For exemple, I rather prefer strings and stroke instruments. Not really big fan of piano compositions, beside this one

P.S.: sorry for being so meticulous, but I'm pretty sure that the note Bruce sing at 1:38 (original song, in the lyrics is "...someone's..." ; 1:51 in this video) it is not a "Blue Note"! :O So, it is not "Ab > G", but "A > G"... ;)

There's a study that says a lot of people who like metal also like classical, and that the two seemingly completely different styles are linked. That really shows here. Submelodies, intervals, scales, chords, arpeggios, and many more partd of music, when you compare the two, are very similar. The biggest difference is the electric guitar and singing style. The composition is very similar.
I have to agree! I'm one of these people who like melodic metal and classical music as well. And you are right (at least for me), that both have something in common.

Дмитрий Павлов Я эту песню у Iron Maiden заслушал до дыр, поэтому знаю как она звучит в оригинале. Я прослушал достаточное количество записей Вики и знаю, что она отлично играет. В других прослушанных мной записях таких шероховатостей и ошибок не было. Я сказал то, что считал нужным. Наградами пусть другие восхищаются, кто слушать не умеет. Я слушать умею и считаю, что эта запись действительно не идеальна.

Дмитрий, зря Вы так. Послушал первые 2 минуты - 3 непопадания в ноты. Если у Вас нет музыкального слуха и Вы никогда не играли эту песню - не спорьте. Действительно есть косяки. Согласен с Владимиром. Это ни в коем случае не умаляет талант Вики.
Не самый любимый кавер у неё, но не могу согласиться с вышесказанным. Во первых, если вас смущает отступление от оригинала, то тут не совсем понятно, что именно она брала как оригинал: альбомную запись или какое-нибудь живое выступление. Если живое, то тут вообще не может быть вопросов - Дикинсон эту песню исполняет часто по-разному. меняет пару нот то тут, то там. Во вторых, у нас здесь не экзамен в музыкальной школе. У опытного музыканта может быть своё видение произведения, на которое он имеет полное право. Не нравится такая версия - не слушайте, но об ошибках говорить в данном случае неуместно.

Я не имел ввиду вокальную партию, которую можно исполнять по-разному. Я имел ввиду инструментальную. Диссонанс настолько режет слух, что любому музыканту или просто человеку со слухом не заметить его невозможно.
