Glaciar La Paloma | Hike in Santiago, Chile | Yerba Loca

This was definitely my favourite trip of the year. Rach had a 5-day work trip to Santiago, Chile. I decided to use our British Airways staff travel and turn it into an adventure - head out there a couple of days before her and explore the mountains near Santiago. I headed out to Yerba Loca, a nature reserve approximately one hour's drive from Santiago, Chile. There are several hikes that start off from here. I took on the longest of these. 14 kilometres all the way up to 3,200m above sea level, to the La Paloma Glacier viewpoint.
