the connection between these 2 stations is needed but the way they connected it is legit dumb, should've waited for the new road to be done i've rode many buses through one lane junctions with questionable traffic light timings and i know the pain of getting stuck forever at a junction
146 currently looks like a bit semi-feederish, perhaps the intention was to link svc 107/M Bidadari stops to Woodleigh Interchange (yes its confirmed name) and then going up to connect to Bartley Yknow LTA being LTA now under cht (iswaran got caught corrupting more than just bus routes) he rather kill two birds with one stone and use 1 svc to do two things
i don't mind 146 being a feeder as opposed to a longer route (even though this svc would have so much potential in former PLAB and temasek poly) but like you said use 1 svc do 2 things so out comes the dumbest route in existence 😂
I have to say I am a little unimpressed with this route, and maybe being a little patient would have been better, cause this route feels too disjointed, for lack of a better term. If there is a need for additional bus routes running around Bidadari, I think a route amendment for 13, 133, or even better, 853, would have sufficed for now. Yeah, I get there are BTO flats popping up around Hougang Avenue 3 and Tampines Road (Hougang Avenue 3 is nearby, and 53 used to loop at this "triangle" before being extended), and 146 may be intended to serve those areas eventually, but again, this route introduction is way too premature. I agree that 146 could be a useful route in future, but at the moment, this route introduction is way too premature. That is my opinion, anyway.

If towards amk then it is a waste of time as they have kovan and hougang mrt stations under northeast line. But if towards eunos then it is a different story. Or most likely case will be after hougang ave 3 make a right turn to tampines road then turn right to defu industrial estate then to hougang ave 3 then bartley road then the normal existing route.

got rumours about this svc extending beyond kim chuan like to hougang which is good but still not using bidadari park drive straight to bartley was a huge mistake
