Lyrics:
You walk straight, not like them
To fool them in, make it seem like you're in trouble
Make a sound, fake it enough
"What made you so scared?"
Maybe you're mistaken for someone who cares
If you remember, remember,
I've been trying to get back to the center
I'm sure it's not like it was before
To make them drink, tell them that it's only water
No one leaves 'till we figure this out
"What made you so scared?"
Maybe you're mistaken for someone who cares
If you remember, remember,
I've been trying to get back to the center
I'm sure it's not like it was before
Patience,
Both we and our words are over produced by influence
By influence
Patience (patience),
Both we and our words are over produced by influence (by influence),
By influence (by influence)
I'm only asking
If you remember, remember,
I've been trying to get back to the center
I'm sure it's not like it was...

I am 50 years old and should have moved on to Frank Sinatra or something by now. I still love Circa Survive.
You are amazing !!! :D
Age doesn't matter. You like what you like. This band is way cool.
Both are great artists my dude. I'm half your age and I like both. Music is ageless, man.
listen to seven years too, maybe you'll age will fit with it. :D
Fuck yeah bro!
The amount of work each guitar does to play something different and complimentary to the other is criminally underrated..
Their synchronization is amazing. It’s legit like they’re telepathic
Not under-rated. They basically started a new genre and everyone knows it
Listened to this as a teenage kid and now I'm 32 and a father and still feel the magic from this album.
Me too
I am you
38 with no kids, sitting on the floor watching Netflix, eating a granola bar for dinner, listening an singing along with Anthony. Here’s an acoustic version for you ua-cam.com/video/0eLqV6EbBNw/v-deo.html
This was the song that got me hooked-32 yrs old and a father myself now. The music of our teen years is something our generation can be proud of. Circa Survives’ new EP shows that this band has matured in a wonderful way.
@@Gato_305 I'm h
I seriously used to listen to these guys practice everyday. They used to live less than a block from where I live. These guys are flippin great. Glad to see that they're becoming pretty famous.
Luckiest man alive
@@Palentirtruly
What's your name?
Gosh. I am 33 years old Korean living in Ohio. I am so glad that I had many close white friends in HS that introduced me to alternative rock of late 00’s and early 10’s. Circa survive will always be a nostalgic memory ever
hell yea
fire
peak.
1:57-2:59 is straight up the best bridge I've heard in awhile. I just can't stop thinking about when he says "Patience." It gives chills down your spine. Awesome!!!
Yesssssssss
Yes, we're uploading better quality videos so they're easier to watch. We'll be posting a bunch of old videos, exclusive content, and some sweet new stuff in 2009!
Cool bro, 😂
Equal Vision Records 2020 and I’m waiting for a 4K version now lol
I'm with afterstars on this one
Yess I can’t wait for 2009!!! So excited! 😆
still waiting
I’m a 34-year-old dude that listens to all kinds of music, but mostly 90s alternative rock, metal, and alternative rock/metal. How in the WORLD am I just now finding Circa Survive?!? They are AWESOME!!
LOL. Anthony Green, the lead vocalist, used to be in a band called Saosin. Anthony Green has a mini tour this December. Circa Survive has a full tour next year.
Be happy that you have!! Every album they’ve put out is amazing, they haven’t dropped a bad one since forming in 2004. Very rare for a band of any genre.
Welcome!!!
@@ruolov1 seven years might be my fav song of all time. I think the drum tech from Pantera helped them out on drums. Crazy shit
This is a jam but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🐺🎧🐺
You know is good, if it still gives you chills after so long !!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Tania Paulin damn your beautiful
Thats what she said
To this day
Makes me tear up
Seriously
The cord progression right after 1:53 ish is one of the most beautiful I’ve heard in a while. I can’t describe why, it’s just so perfect.
Along with Anthony’s voice “ patienceee…..” 🥹🥹🤌🏻❤️❤️
The guitar parts in all of Juturna are just amazing. I can't think of anything that sounds similar to this album and On Letting Go in terms of guitar parts.
Hrvrd's (called Harvard back then) first album is pretty spot on.
+kirk stanton agreed.
+childofbhaal any progressive rock pretty much sounds like that
+Michelle Hernandez not a lot of progressive rock has dual guitars with heavy delay and reverb that makes eerie and dreamy sounds.. And in Juturna and OLG Colin and Brenden both okay Lead parts and weave them with each others beautifully.
If you like guitar parts like this, listen to Emarosa's first album, Relativity. Those guitars parts are awesome! I think it's similar to this.
RIP Circa Survive. My all time favorite band. I even started the Circa Survive subreddit. I have literally shed quite a bit of tears for their break up.
This is a jam but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🐺🎧🐺
What!?? Damn... Well, ALL things must pass.
This def sucks. Just learning about this today. :( I've never seen them live. I wonder what happened.
@@beezybeez5971 no I haven't? Is SLT an abbreviation? Sorry just saw this comment.
@@user-yq1rc6or9x I don't know why it happened. And I'm pretty well glued into the dynamics of the scene revolving around Beau and Circa. Oh man I feel your pain, I never saw Operation Ivy or The Mars Volta. But I did see Anthony Green play Riot Fest in 2014 with both Saosin and Circa Survive in consecutive days.
THIS WAS ONE OF MY BROTHERS FAVORITES. RIP BRO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11/23/89.
Waffenssdeutschland may he rest in piece and in the realm of music endless music
Erich Hiller I’m sorry to hear about your loss. 😥
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Your brother had brilliant taste then. R.i.p
💚
2019 and i'm still here listening to this song, the whole album is a masterpiece.
Emosai Fenris Clockhearts youre not alone
My favorite album from them
Straight up
True, the guitar parts are unreal.
I started listening to them just a few years ago but I’m only 14 (also you still there??)
Its 2021, your spotify recommendation dredged up painful high school music. This was one of them. This defined you.
God 15 year old me was so edgy and for what
Absolutely
It’s 2005, you just got back from school and turn on Fuse. Oven Fresh is on! Then you see it. Someone scribbling on a yellow notepad. The music starts playing. You feel cheated on and heart broken but you have never been in a relationship before. It also makes you feel calm and content and you continue listening to one of your future favorite band.
anthony maradiaga you’re amazing. Lol
This man knows lol
Don't know what Fuse is, don't know what Oven Fresh is & had been in multiple relationships before the age of 17, in 2005. Not sure if CS or Saosin were favourite bands by then, but probably.
Love this guys
First song I've heard from Circa, after listening I was instantly hooked.
I’m 34 and get chills and memories come rushing back skating and going to concerts like this and all fun was had! Lost a lot of friends since but the memories never die!
10 years later, still one of the best songs ever
12 years later, still one of the best songs ever
Ahhh, my first MySpace song 🥲 such nostalgia 😄
I can't believe I used to hate these guys, I think I was still pissed he left Saosin but anyways these guys are amazing, the guitar and drums are perfect and Anthony Green has such a unique voice.
I know what you mean, brodin. The Sound of Animals Fighting is what initially won me over with Anthony Green's voice and Circa just naturally followed
His voice isn't that unique. Sounds a lot like the dude from the fall of troy.
He sounds nothing like Eric.
Clean your ears out.
TazNZZ clean yours!
Patienceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 🎉
One of the best songs of this era. Miss these days so much.
Green is the man. Best vocalist of the genre in the 2000's for sure.
For me it's definitely a tie between Anthony Green and Craig Owens. Those two vocalists never disappoint.
@@kazeshini22 I love Craig but Anthony blows him out of the water IMO
Tiilan from tides of man was also up there 💯
@@kazeshini22came to say this and to go in a completely random direction with it Thomas kalnoky as well. In a completely different and not nearly as talented respect 🤣
I was 8 years old when I first heard Anthony Green. It's 2023, and I'm over 25 now. This song still hits all these years later
CLASSIC/VINTAGE CIRCA!
Circa Survive was more than one of my favorite artists, they were part of my identity growing up. Their music played a critical role in who I am today. Long live Circa.
This is a jam but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🐺🎧🐺🎧🐺
this song hits me rights through the heart.
for the past 10 years until now, I've had about hundreds of times where i 'suddenly' sing this song wherever it crosses my mind 😅, because the opening is too addicted and unique
Possibly the best Circa track ever. This and The Most Dangerous Commercials.
I agree!! My two favorites, along w flesh and bone!!
40 yrs old still jamming this often! Best band!
This is a jam but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🐺🎧🐺
i love how he always smiles when he sings. he actually has fun while performing.
I know you posted this 9 years ago. But he smiles to brighten his timbre. It's how he gets that really nice little boy voice.
This album meant everything to me when I was in college. Can't believe it's been 15 years.
clasicoooo...grande Anthony Green
they build my chilhood to the point where i almost game up... went in to drugs and 15 years later in in a better place thank you... no mater what band Anthony gre
een makes it work.!!!!
Miss this feeling ❤️🙌🏾
I have chills down my spine I love this song!
I keep coming back ❤
Anthony Green has the voice of a angel
I love circa survive so fkn much man, literally my favorite band but i only like to really listen to them in the fall/winter time, i dont know why but it just hits more home every year during fall and winter
Seasonal depression , i get that too when listening to other bands that i used to when i younger
Absolute undisputed Circa Survive Fact # 472: The intro to Act Appalled "We walk straight, we're not like them" is a statement about not doing drugs. This was actually inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' live musical, particularly the song "Walk Straight"
That's cool and all, but Anthony has only been clean for 3-4 years now. Considering his drug use at the time, it's either ironic or used as a joke, imo.
Alex Sudol honestly I saw them at disrupt fest last month and his being clean is debatable lol dude is a fucking maniac on stage. Didn’t stop moving, he pulled on his shirt a lot, but the end and head of the mic in his mouth, danced a lot of weird funky dance moves
I even described the performance by saying “he looked like he was on crack.”
I discovered Circa Survive because i randomly picked up On Letting Go at hot topic because id heard them mentioned by someone and the artwork was so cool. Im so glad i did. theyve always been one of my all time favorite bands. As far as emo goes i put them up there with bands like brand new and foxing
Yes . And citizen
This whole time, I thought the Singer was a girl. Not disappointed though, that voice on a man is amazing!
Listen to sleeping with sirens. The singer has a girly voice but in a good way.
me to
@@majam6162 listen to Russell Oberlin, that's a girly voice
Kellin just sounds androgynous, more of a pubescent boy style
2018 and this song still jams. Greatest band in this galaxy.
Andre Bell yes and DGD can we agree
2018 was 4 years ago 😶
listening to this on my 1st generation ipod on the bus in middle school brings back some memories
"Patience, both we and our words are over produced by influence" is the greatest thing to ever come out of Anthony Green.
The song brings me back when I was in my drug phase bringing everyone down around me, helps me to stay strong
July 2022. Still an amazing song.
still one of my absolute favorite songs
One of my favorite songs!
New to this band. But the album arts are cool af
Esao Andrews is the artist! Check him out on instagram @esao hes the shiiiiiiiiiit
Freddy and really cool too he used to come to a bar in brooklyn where i work and hang out with us. Pretty cool dude
Been jamming Circa steadily for over 15 years. Their music just doesn't get old.
Great stuff. I remember having this on my myspace page
Wow, hello senior year of high school.
freshman year for me lol
wait what year did this come out??
Contour 2005
I'm a senior right now and Circa has been my jam for the better part of this year.
I'm currently in my senior year right now and I've been listening to this song since I was in 7th grade. Ahhh I still love it so much and the rest of the album.
"Anthony Green sounds like the dude from Saosin." Can't tell you how many times I've heard that.
Donovan melero sounds like Anthony tho
Anthony Green’s voice is something else for sure…my favorite song from them was the Great Golden Baby, but Juturna was an album that you didn’t skip any songs
I close my eyes and can see myself walking down the hallways in high school with the earbuds in. 😊
My buddy used to jam this in high school. Didn't know who it was but always loved it. Got stoned and went to work listening to this. Good times. 29 years old now.
These guys were ahead of their time by at least a decade. What an awesome fucking band. Anthony Green’s part of my top 3 clean vocalists.
From 00:22 to 00:41 ... that guitar & bass sound puts me high without using kush
This band rocks my socks off. Every song of theirs evokes soooo much emotion. The ambience, Anthony's vocals, the wispy guitar sounds = perfection!
I had no idea what this song was about but it's all so clear to me now
What do you think it's about? The date night pill?
roofies? It looks like that's what the video is pointing at but I think the overall theme is betrayal. I could be wrong but that's the vibe I'm getting here.
I think your right !! This song has a bigger meaning to me then it did in high school !
I first had no idea what it was about, then it became clear to me, but now a year or two after deciding on its meaning, it seems it has a different meaning
This bridge is so freaking amazing
0:19 When your mom asks if you want meatloaf for dinner
This song is so perfect and powerful. God Tier
Lsd kicking nicely to Anthony
Being 26 and looking at these comments reminds me that music is timeless who cares how old we are if I live to be even 40 I’ll still slap this shit and onwards till I die and I’m not even a heavy CS fan
Ugh, shit. I remember getting ready for school while this music video played in the background. I feel so old! haha, but still a great DAMN song.
You like Elliott Smith AND Circa Survive??? You, sir, have great taste!
2021 still one of my favorite songs by circa
Still listening to this in 2023
This takes me waaaay back to 05, better days!
This song is scary good.
I love how you can just feel Anthony Green's emotions in their rawness when he sings. He has the kind of voice that gives you goosebumps, that brings you to tears, that makes you want to rock out and sing with him. This guy is magic, I look up to him so much as a musician. He changed my life, and the craziest part is that I'm not the only one, and Anthony doesn't even know it. Hopefully someday.
I miss her everyday
Escuchaba esto cuando tenía 18, ahora tengo 40 y me sigue elevando como aquellos tiempos.
Who still here during the pandemic rockin out in quarantine
Yessss!!
"No one leaves till we figure this out"
the drums off this album are insane
1:55.. Pure nostalgia..
Patienceeeeeeeeeeeee 😍👏🏾
Mo Mo yeees 🥵😍
Love this song
First time listen, and its going straight to my playlist. XD
Enjoy music for music. It's something that brings us together, so thank the bands that can do that for us.
What is that, the set of iCarly?
@Albert Twangle bruh
Duh, it's a music video made with a low budget.
LMAO 😂
Lol
I came here to say this
one of my favorites song ! ever
They're like TMV without all the experimentation. I can dig it.
Hory shet..
Yup
+Brett Leverett im going to have to agree.. damn
Brett Leverett The Mars Volta? Dude, they're nothing like TMV, not even close.. but this is coming from a huge MV fan.
+eluxsus0195684 well i saw them in their glory days during the frances tour and own all of their records on vinyl including tremulant, the first pressing of deloused on the silver vinyl, and the very rare glow in the dark frances the mute... so id say im a pretty big fan too ;) i dont know how you cant draw comparisons between them, but thats fine bud. If you dont see it, i guess you dont see it. But it seems like youre in the minority. Cheers!
34 and still love this 💓
This album had a sinister, freakish quality to it that I think really suited Anthony's unique vocals. It's a shame they kind of abandoned this more experimental sound and went in a more conventional direction with their subsequent albums.
This is a jam but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🐺🎧🐺
yeah as someone who discovered them recently, On Letting Go is very very different than Juturna. still love them both though, and BSN has some great songs as well
@@Dyingwood. Living Together and Semi Constructive feedback are on par with this song in my opinion
i hate this stupid IPhone it autocorrects my words though I have autocorrect off
It's got to have been the best part of 13 years... but I just belted this out in my living room, all the lyrics just came back to me like I was 14 again :)
reminds me so much of mordecai by btbam in the best of ways
I love how the instrumentals in Circa songs sound like just a muddle of noise, yet somehow manages to sound amazing together.
Circa Forever.
his high pitch singing reminds me of the mars volta
that breakdown still one of the best 20 seconds in all of music
God I love emo music so much
Am I the only teenager who listens to circa survive in 2021?
spotify recommended this song... Vocal's voice is so awesome
Love you guys from korea
Share this to your friends 😭
I’m 15 and love them :)
@@Jay-wt6gj I'm 15 too :) 👍
2019 !!
Una de mis bandas favoritas.💗
Of mice and men Totally ripped Circa Survive off
Abraham Munoz I am not sure if I read correctly, or my English is that bad. So lets revise, you actually say that omam is better than circa?
Renda Koník he's saying 'of mice and men' are a cheap/not as good version of circa
Ahh, my English sucks then, thankfully I asked leeel
***** lmao omam dont even come close to circa survive.
***** are you serious....? D.R.U.G.S is terrible, and nothing Craig ever does will amount to Anthony. Minus their work together in TSOAF.
One of the only albums I've ever bought. 16 years old in high school, I bought this from Best Buy in the Music section. My parents hated the music as we drove home in the car.... One of the best purchases I've ever made.... I listen to this frequently, and now I'm 27 years old.
who else is excited for the Punk Goes Acoustic V3 of this piece?
I don't care if anyone says this isn't
hardcore enough,sometimes it just gets
old.i love these guys,absolutely amazing
¡2019! Aún vigente 😊
I love the way he moves, he gets so into the music, like it's hard for me to sit still just listening to it. Then on the other hand some songs are just really good to relax and chill to. All in all this is my favorite band ever.
