Your customer after sales service is excellent. IMHO credibility in business is paramount and if you continue to treat people with this kind of care you will be very successful. Word of mouth the best advert of the lot. 👍

So they bought something they know nothing about, couldn't afford in the first place, can't afford to maintain, didn't read the manual, drove it contrary to what they were told, put their ignorance on email and than expect the dealer to accommodate them! What a C's.

Enjoyed this. Maserati has never ever made a reliable car! As for the sensors bypass them all with 1mf resistors or put extenders on the sensors so the engine light stays off!

Best to have done the service first, scan for pending codes, they could have been turned off prior, scanner will tell which bank the sensor is, basically the faults were simple ones that could affect any car, don't start going to court, I was all gung ho last year over a land rover, went to court, judge totally sided with the customer, in fact judge had absolutely no idea about cars and basically didn't listen to me, ended up going to the Isle of Wight for the car, 300 miles, customer wouldn't give me the v5, flat battery and then wouldn't tell the court I'd paid so I'd end up with a ccj, avoid court, just not worth it, tbh you've basically had it up to six mths and if on finance basically forever, great videos by the way.

Never ceases to surprise me, Maserati owners who buy one of the most sophisticated and advanced cars in the planet, and complain about the cost of running it. Buy a Toyota Corona, and be happy.

Good story. I think you did the right things ! However it was stacked against you as soon as the owner ignored the repair booking. Most people are not experienced or suited to run an exotic car like that. There is a high chance of problems it’s not going to be reliable.

It's not because its a Maserati - that could happen with any car - its the customer.
Bereavement, inheritance, business doing well and swaps it for an grey Audi he had his eye on?
Just a chancer after something to run up to Mull in.
You can get parts from Scuderia parts in the UK. If you're having to go to a dealer use Nottingham and avoid Edinburgh at all costs.

I had a rare Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider which had a fan relay that regularly went faulty because of where it would hang down , it either got too hot in summertime or too wet in winter .. I put a waterproof bag over it and never had an issue ever again .. Loved that lil 🚀 .. Keep them standard , with not too many crazy mods to Up the bhp and they run lovely ..had mine for 8 years of total bliss

    Takes forever
    Court bills are massive
They nearly always side with the customer, as you are the professional.
Where you went wrong was not sticking to doing the service yourself and wanting the quick sale. Stich in time saves nine.
Taking the provlem car back and clearing down the problem qill save yoj lots of headache, time and loss. At least you can draw a line and move on

For now all I’ve heard is good things about the ghibli until this video, is the ghibli reliable and these guys just didn’t respect it or should I go for a Beamer and not risk it?

The problem started when you did not follow your own pre sale procedures. Get the car serviced, checked and then pass it on to the customer. I suspect that you rushed through the deal because the customer was in a rush. I do not think it's a question of next time "dig your heals in", more like next time don't get rushed into a sale.

    • @thelogbookcc
      @thelogbookcc  Місяць тому +2

You make a fair point. However I had personally road tested it and it was fine, we had MOT’d it prior to listing and it was fine. So whilst I agree with what you’re saying, cars can have issues at any point, this unfortunately was in his ownership not ours. Saying this, you have a point and we did learn from it. 👍

  • @davidpiatto8175

They shouldn’t have bought the Maserati in the first place & gone for the Audi instead.
A person like myself who’s into Italian cars will know the pitfalls & would’ve not rushed into the purchase like they did let alone drive it all the way to bloody Scotland with the EML on.
    Crazy!!
The Audi will most likely bite the in the ass later down the line too as they aren’t as reliable as everyone thinks.
No doubt they’ll be back next year asking for another refund as that’s what these types do.
I’d love that Maser but outta my budget.
