Syun-Ichi Akasofu Lecture Recording, 2023

Dr. Syun-Ichi Akasofu is a well known international authority on the aurora. He became director of the Geophysical Institute in 1986 and later founded the International Arctic Research Center, becoming its first director in 1999. In this lecture, Dr. Akasofu describes historical events in auroral science and its latest developments. We appreciate his dedication to aurora research and sharing his knowledge.
