...it feels warm because it is a heat exchanger.... A/C (chill) works by taking heat away, not adding cold.... the cold is just the result of taking the heat away.
Here where I am in South Africa, we have a brand named ALVA, which always manufactures better quality, more durable and more effective versions/upgrades/models of things like gas heaters, (I think) stoves, and now also air conditioners and air coolers, and more specifically their ALVA Air ACS102 Cool Cube. And oh my gosh, it produces air that is almost certainly colder than the winter air of most countries around the equator. I use mine at work and within 10 minutes, on speed 2 and a filter placed in freezer for 10 minutes and a reservoir of chilly water, the whole corner where my desk is, is very cold, and my body temperature drops remarkably. It is crispy, (very) cold and moist air that flows out of it. The filter stays very cold for a few hours, as also the water in the reservoir. It smells like I think the air above a clean, cold ocean would smell like 1500 years back. Pure bliss.
I haven't seen anyone reviewing/testing one of these with a thermometer. Good to see this guy recommends it after less than one minute testing it, wonder if that has anything to do with affiliate links? Fyi, it's a fan with a very tiny water reservoir. You could do the same with a $5 fan and a $1 mist sprayer.
I have this, I use it in my home office. Freezing the filter and adding ice to the water really does make it blow very cold air for quite a while. I bought a 2nd filter to keep in the freezer and swap them out every couple of hours or so.
Hey Sam great Video think you should test the product out a bit more though just like the other channels that do gadget reviews viewers like to see that stuff.
Its a rubbish product. Once you move it from one table to the next...you practically have to leave the damn thing overnight to dry out before you can turn it back on. Its not portable at all
all it does is push cold air. not pulling any hot out. if you sit in an office sure. relying on it, not so well. basically a fan pushing air over water. don't waste your money
Saw a similar item on Vivian tries and it was poorly rated but this one seems a lot better I bet it would be nice using sea water. Welcome back we miss you.
I really wouldn’t put coolant in here. You don’t want coolant vapours seeping into the atmosphere, they should only be used in a close looped system, i.e. refrigerator or actual ac unit.
Okay so it's a mini swamp cooler not a proper AC unit that uses refrigerant via a compressor ! Furthermore your mannerisms in describing how it feels doesn't tell me anything ! Why didn't you have a thermometer ? Show me how warm it is in the room then turn on the device and do a compare and contrast ! Secondly this video is only 11 minutes and 7 Seconds long, so how long does that little bit of water go for in that machine 12 minutes and 7 Seconds ? And apparently you need cold water to get the effect of feeling cool . Okay, so in Las Vegas where often more than not It gets so warm out that you have to wait 5 or 10 minutes for the water to go from being lukewarm to cool if not cold ! And as for being some type of relief for all these poor homeless people, well I guess their shit out of luck if they just can't find cold water to put in it !
That's a swamp cooler not an air conditioner but whoever invents a real air conditioner that small will be a millionaire
Lotta flies in that room
😂 I kept reversing it because I thought there was a gnat in my room lol
almost damn punched my computer screen!
I really wish these kids knew the difference between air condition and that water fan

These have really bad reviews on Amazon...
I think is the Artic cooler under a different name.
1 year later: 4 1/2 star rating
Bro that fly stole the show lol 😂
I haven't seen anyone reviewing/testing one of these with a thermometer.

The fly made me angry
And it attracts pest like flies. Another great feature! 😂
Holy shit the flies
Idk if its like the arctic air but you can freeze the filter for the air to be cooler for like a minute or 2
What would happen if you also put in some ice? 😆
or dry ice in a sealed package? you def dont want to breathe bare dry ice
bloddyfx makeup this was such an aggressive comment. chill bro
@bloddyfx makeup why so rude? Relax, sheesh.
Loverleezack someone probably pissed in their coffee
They sold them here for a while but everyone told me they're no use, they ended up taking them away from every store.
yeah...then when the water reach ambient temperature? I don't think it would make much a difference from a fan...
Setting a flimsy box filled with water next to your laptop sound like a great idea.👍
Thanks for your honest opinion im looking to purchase one now!
You be upset
Put the filter in the freezer then put ice in the water then tell me the difference

Its winter ...
It's reeeaaallllyyy cold...
Why am I here?
Its summer in Australia help
I think it works awesome! Even my cat likes it ! lol

That huge fly is is so distracting
Just don't run that close to your laptop for very long. The "nice cool moisture" is water that will kill your computer, duh.
bro my laptop runs at 95 c
NOT AN AIR CONDITIONER, a swamp cooler and will not work in humid climates
all it does is push cold air. not pulling any hot out. if you sit in an office sure. relying on it, not so well. basically a fan pushing air over water. don't waste your money
I’d rather make a tiny air conditioning unit with peltier coolant installed in it.
I bought one of these and they are shit.
Hello
Please reply
Can I put that wire in my mobile phone switch
Lmao
How much did they pay him? This is not an air conditioner.
It would be funny if someone farted at the back of it where the air suction goes on as he was taking a sniff
THANK YOU FOR THE TIPS I CONSIDER TO BUY SOON
Yes cool ...and after you wake up your lungs are filled with WATER !
Why water seem to come out after a while ?
It has a built in humidifier, which causes some moisture buildup and it's just the drops. Basically, condensation.
Saw a similar item on Vivian tries and it was poorly rated but this one seems a lot better I bet it would be nice using sea water. Welcome back we miss you.
will not work its not real just a scam its a fan with a thermal regulator
Pyramid scheme!
Good portable AC
It's sucks ☹️ only 30 minutes cold u paid to much money for that 😂 got one for 20.
where you get yours at?
I got one for 13
All those flys where annoying go to walmart buy fly bag traps
have you try to put coolant instead of cold water?
I really wouldn’t put coolant in here. You don’t want coolant vapours seeping into the atmosphere, they should only be used in a close looped system, i.e. refrigerator or actual ac unit.
I wouldn't recommend that, as the humidifier would break up the coolant into breathable molecules and long story short, you or your lungs will die.
Possible are no without water. I like to dry and cool.🤔
meh..swamp cooler are shit...
Total garbage
