I 1st saw him in a Trans World Sport article on Ch4 back in 2011/2012 as he was preparing for the Olympics because he is Tim Cahill the Millwall & Everton players Cousin and they were explaining how they come from a fighting family and then I lost track of him for a few years but recognised his name in the rankings and looked him up to make sure it was the same guy! I only started watching Jai's fights out of my own curiosity and never looked back. I think I would've watched him alot sooner if he was pushed by the Austrlaian media.

After i saw the Breidis fight, i was blown away, to keep fighting like that with a broken jaw, he took some tremendous punishment, but he just kept coming. I think that he is going to unify the division, & collect all of the belts, & nobody is going to stop him, he,s like a force of nature, he is going to be a superstar of the sport, the way that he has come through all of these setbacks, & hurdles, but he has also remained humble, & geneuine, he is my new favourite fighter.

Like most have said love this guy and his attitude. Bud, Inoue, Bam, Bivol, Jai all my current faves class boxers and no BS about them. Don’t generally get caught up in all the social media drama nonsense either AFAIK either. Only potential issue I can see for him from here is possible lack of serious challenge at CW. Arsen, CBS, Gevor, Badou, Briedis, Makubu, Dorticus etc are decent imo but Jai is level(s) above imo. He’s only 6’2 height (only, lol). Usyk and Parker aside, modern day HW are giants. Super CW or Bridgerweight Divisions aren’t picking up anywhere anytime soon. There’s much better quality at LH with Bivol and Artur B but it’s a huge weight drop from 200 to 175, nearly 2 stone! And Jai has come in at 198.5 his last two bouts. No way he’s same destructive fighter at 175. Thoughts?
