I feel you on people opening stuff in the store. This happened this weekend, my wife had bought some marshmallow fluff to make some fruit dip for mother's day. She opened up the container and someone had peeled off the seal and eaten half the container and then placed it back on the shelf.

I think the worst thing I see that people have stolen when I toy hunt are Hot Wheels. If you can't afford a dollar & some change for a toy car, you are beyond messed up. 😡

Wait till you buy a Hasbro action figure with windowless packaging, get it home, and discover it contains something other than the figure you bought. It will happen. People will buy a figure, take it home, swap out the contents, and then return it. Stores will have to make these figures non-returnable.
I watched a video where the content creator was showing how easy it is to do. He made the video as a warning for other collectors, but it could also be seen as a how-to video.

I will go inti a take my grandma told me about. I am still stunned on this too. She needed pepper and got aome but noticed it weighed more that normal and then noticed was open, she didnt open up and took back. Someone actually 💩 in it. This was believe during the 90s too and im still stunned.
I have seen opened food items and will not touch. Worse ai have actually seen expired, molding, hairy jerky left on a peg. Watched for 3 weeks to see if would be removed. Last time an still there and found a camea and did not. Are who heard, "This has been molding for 4 weeks now and im gonna do YOUR JOB!" and pitched it. "Look and chwck stuff man!" I mean i did work at a local food bank and what would have to pitch fron Walmart in general was sad. 2 week wait perios on some things and it would be molding by then so out it went. I hated doing that and sometimes were cakes that someoen didnt get. Birthday and wedding cakes.
Okay sorry i got into a eant but just makes you wondwr if empoyees today even care om these things.

lol, every one of them at my walmarts and targets have been opened. They might need to do like Hot Topic and keep them behind the counter, or lock them up in those security cases or something.
Well, I despise people destroying or damaging merchandise. But, those "sodas" are just asking for it. You also see this happening because of the new boxed action figures trend.
every single word you said about those people who rippin up those Sodas for a chase is so freakin true ...thats so poor what they do ...cant find words to describe my anger about that. I agree with this because the avatar blind boxes get opened all the time. It’s so disappointing to see the loose stuff on the shelves opened already.

I think that anytime a person opens a “Toy” just to see if it’s a chase or to steal a build a figure part without first paying for the product that it’s stealing and that the person should get in trouble.

My local Walmart never has full toy shelves and if they get anything in I'm sure they don't unpack the whole box. But then again out here in the country there's not many redneck nerds like myself
Yeah Greg I know how you feel, I once saw a VTC Obi-Wan cardback with No Obi-Wan, and i'm like "people have no shame" and it also happen with die-cast cars. Kroger's isn't like that because they don't let in the rift-raft the Wal-Mart does. anyway Greg have a nice day.

I see the toy stealing and tampering too its so low, and makes it harder for the rest of us, some stores will notice whats being stolen more and add measures to counter and them taking a loss they could adjust the price on us

Personally, I can't stand blind box/bag toys, since I prefer to see what I'm buying before I spend my hard-earned money on it. There is no "fun" in the mystery for me. However, I'm not going to open one up in the store to see what's in the package and devalue the item, forcing that store to eat the cost. I'd rather just pay a couple dollars more to buy the specific item I want on eBay, than to waste even more money buying up the blind boxes/bags and ending up with a bunch of stuff I don't want.
Another disgusting trend is finding figures that have been returned with a less valuable figure than the one that was originally packaged. I see this all the time, and it's a real pisser.

Brother, you're preaching to the choir. I can't stand seeing all the figure swaps, almost always at Walmart. It's so infuriating.
I'm disgusted with the grown adults that are figure swapping and opening funko sodas to see if it's the chase. I ordered the Knull and Venom 2pk from Amazon and when I opened the box there were just 2 Magnum Sharpies and no figures. I ordered the vintage collection star wars 3pk with obi Wan, teeka, and Purge Trooper. Someone swapped out the teeka and Purge Trooper for 2 Lando figs. Smh

That's why I'm shocked that these plastic free boxed figures haven't been done the same way especially the 3.75 vintage sets like that bunker set you passed up. I'm right there with you Greg when it comes to ridiculous thievery . I'm not a Funko fan nor have I been a fan of much of anything NECA, but I'm not shocked over those cans. And I'll add that the manufacturers of these "chase" toy ideas have to know first hand that freak collectors are going to do 1 of 2 things, and sometimes both. 1. Buy everything off the shelf. And take what they don't want to Ebay. Or 2. Steal the stuff off the shelf, ruining it for all other collectors and children, and then taking it Ebay. Any time they put a product out that there are very few of to be found, this kinda crap takes place. The did this crap with baseball cards.
Remember when you had to send out proof of purchase points to aquire certain Star Wars figures?
