hey i just purchased one i am empressed with the korg x-50. it is not a toy. i had back in 1994 bought a jv-30 roland which was taken by law back in2008 illegal wrong. but i like this x-50 korg. still going through to find grand piano. thanks "and accent music deleware.
@ramirkhan Korg X-50 is based on th Triton line of workstation. And the X5D is an older model (out of production) based on the X3 workstation. The X5D was launched in the late 90's. Get the X-50. You won't regret it. It's an excellent synth. For the price you can get theses days. Is a no brainer.
@Enigma4072 @twoodyatwood (Continued) After that, you connect the Audio Interface to your computer (Usually by USB) and that's the basic setup. You might have to set it so that your DAW gets it's MIDI input from your Audio Interface by going into the options menu and selecting it. But this all depends on your software/hardware. i don't see why everyone is complaining on korgs accoustic sounds. the piano sounds pretty realistic to me. sure its no clavia nord but i would easly be fooled into thinking it was a real piano if i did not know it isnt

Thanx for such a lovely demo of a lovely synth! But I'm wondering if Rich was playing the Stereo Grand Piano preset sample or is there an EQ (or any other editing) on that tone...One of my friend has the same synth and I've played it, but can't get such brilliant piano tone!

The M50 is definitely better than the X50...more sounds, features, a full touch screen, etc. However, at $699 the X50 is a much more affordable option, while still providing Korg's outstanding sound quality. Hey, I really love your demos. Very lucid explanations! So I have my X50, and I love the sounds. However, I have been trying to use my X50 wth logic. I can use it as a MIDI controller. But I want to get the X50 sounds as MIDI signals into a software instrument track in Logic. I load the Plug in editor in the channel but I cannot hear anything when I play. Can you suggest something I could do?
I need a synth with good piano, organ electronic sounds and good ambient film score sounds also. Is this that synth? I found a lot of the Electronic music synths have very crap standard sounds(piano etc) but some of the synths designed for that have crap electronic sounds. Seems hard to find one that crosses over well. Id give examples of artists like Beck and Nine inch nails for the scope of sounds im after. Any ideas anyone?Thanks in advance

that is one amazing synthesizer. It's even powerful enough to score a whole movie. I like that piece you did when it was on comby mode. If you haven't got a name for that piece, how about calling it "Robin Hood". Because it kind of reminds me of Robin Hood. By the way, is that keyboard all that expensive?

what keaboards are the cheapest and best quality for the smallest price for a beginner who wants to have a harp/guitar/cello/vox in one instrument? I am a noob, and if you help me, you will save the planet.
i had to sold mine years ago due to financial issues, but buying one once again. Such a good synth, i absolutely LOVED mine!

Mine just died, not sure if it's the power supply or it's just let the smoke out for good, but I really enjoyed my x50.
Same happened to the x50 in our church. :/

You'll have to get an instrumental cable and connect it to a speaker system directly.
