Sad they had to go through that . This company also offers a credit account , a checkings account then a savings account . I’ve had all three . What they try to do is use every means possible for you to drive money into any of these accounts . First they offer you a credit card only on the condition that you connect your pay via direct deposit to your checking account . Atl east this flow will let them have access to more more . This might seem like a simple thing to do but the promises behind the credit the credit card are just false . First, they use your money to cover purchases , not theirs . Then they’ll report those purchases you’ve made with your money as a balance at the end of the month to the credit bureaus. Which ruins your credit every time because you get to lose about 20 to 30 points every time they report . They don’t pick up the phone and have email support that send automated messages that do not answer the question you send them . If you get it you’d notice that the sense behind this free credit builder if to have you always have money in there . As in you use your own money the first time , then at the end of the reporting circle , you put back what ever you’ve used in there . That’s basically same and lending them your money . They’ll not tell you this but give you all the sweet reasons to have you sign up . I’m so disappointed because this whole thing seemed convenient but when you’re not honest it messes up things real bad. To think that a company uses your money to cover purchases , and then reports your spendings as a balance is beyond me and then they say it’s better that a secure credit card .I just woke up to the fact too that there’s no office for this company . It’s just an online thing what if at the time of your greatest need, this company closes your account on you ? It’s scary that they have the longest wait times , and will not reply to your email but send automated messages . How can you get to go thru all this and stay trusting them .. be careful with your money and go to the bank . Don’t sign up for overdraft , and you’d end up not paying those bank fees but know your money is in a safe place .

I actually bank with them, customer service been very fast for me each time I call them or request to be called
Okay but why were you keeping thousands upon thousands in one account and not spreading it out
They closed my account 'suddenly' for no forseen reason. All they told me was that I violated their policies which is vague. I emailed and asked repeatedly what VIOLATION... they couldn't say. smh
They telling me the same thing.
Did they mail you a check with what was in your account?
@lalathers4476 yes after I had to stalk them every day they sent it to me
@@AyaInanna Thank you so much.. Last question did you have to wait 30 Days?

I’m going through same situation they said they sending me a check
They said they going send me a check with the remaining balance
It’s a unique occurrence, not a usual thing. Everybody is on these new online banking stuff. This video is made to hype up banks again. lol pass
Haloo
I'm religious so I know on judgment day the owner of chime will not be in a good position when he sees god because of all the theft he can lawyer up so much down here on earth but when judgment day happens he won't be able to get out of it
I am a video editor

Contact the BBB and the attorney general in your State
Who is stupid or crazy enough to put their money in chime account when there’s a bank right down the street.
@Theodore Frazier exactly a credit unions way better for the credit union actually works for the customer Banks actually take your money and share your information to other institutions so banks are actually using your money to better themselves you should always have more than one account you can never just have one account we're all your money store that she should have put that much money into that account in the first place chime is only good for getting paid for two days early and for direct deposits they cannot even wire money in so they're not really an actual bank
I've been using them for 5+ years now, had a few minor disputes, but usually resolved..Anyone that is using Chime,i usually tells em,never put your whole life savings money in an online banking account like Chime, that's a suicide mission.. Open up a local bank account also.. I only use Chime to buy groceries and Uber from time to time, usually $100-$200 in my Chime.. I am not slow to dump thousands in Chime and that is what people aren't understanding to NOT do..
@@northside3701 I was thinking the same, but I have lost 50$ because rTbinhood wouldn't dispute for me.
@@ueinihctir5650 Mmhm i doubt Chime would give you back your money because Robinhood is stock investment..I signed up with them in 2015 and has yet to use my account😂
@@northside3701 I lost more than my free stock was worth.
Johnny Bradshaw I do not know if I do need to Bank with chime 😂
My no TV V by in i op
$14,000 is her life savings? lol
I can’t stop laughing.
Right there is no excuse for this. There are secured credit cards. Meaning if you have 5,000 and take it BOA THE WILL GIVE YOU A CC WITH THAT LIMIT.
What. You make no sense.
I have the same issue with chime my account was compromised twice first-time 313 dollar they give it back the next time it was $975 and it wouldn't give her money back saying it was not an authorized transaction but it was who can I get in contact with would help just like that lady did
Thats illegal to keep the customers cash when the account is closed by the customer or the bank the bank is supposed to send u a fucking check 🤦♂️
I will tell you this all right now there's probably more to the story than what she's saying but if anything if you guys are using chime or any other online banking you guys should always know of the risk that it always pose if you're doing something else besides getting a direct deposit from your work only use it for that and only use it for that only until you are able to get a bank account and not just any bank account a legitimate bank account
And majority of the people that do have time are the people that decided to screw over big Banks take out money when they had an overdraft protection thing and realized they were in the hole and decided to ignore it and then you decided to open up another one at another bank account did the same thing that you did at that last bank account and now you screwed and the only thing that you can resort to is Banks like these
You can sit there and blab and make up any crap that you want it's the internet people doing anyway there's always more to the story I had time I still do for the credit builder and honestly I haven't had any problems with them at all I had it to where there was two times where I had on fraudulent charges and activity on my account I follow the instructions and I got my money back and I only used it to get my paycheck and had a certain amount go to my credit card and to my savings but then after you get everything all taken care of with check systems and etc put your paycheck in a regular bank account and not these online ones because you never know what can happen do what you have to do and pay back the mistakes whether it was caused from you or if it was caused from someone else relationship husband wife you name it quit making excuses pay for the crap that put you in that position to use online banking in the first place
This cracks me up on how many people bitch and complain that this banking company did this this banking company did that you got nobody to blame but yourself do yourself a favor if you have to use chime NetSpend or whatever use it in a nonspicious manner and not use it for unemployment checks IRS refund checks use it only for your pay check through your work until you pay off the other Banks or credit unions that you screwed over and then after you get done doing that only use chime or other online banking in an appropriate way
You all decide to take corners and try to hide behind other things eventually it's going to come back and bite you even if it costs you $14,000 like it did to this lady. If anything she should have wired up her chime account to a well-known Bank credit Union or investment company wire that money in there that way you wouldn't have that problem
You don't like what I have to say don't put yourself in that spot and don't make excuses
